Been wanting to get my first tattoo for a while now and decided to do it impulsively while on a trip to Portland. It was a simple airplane outline and I’m in love with the results. Mike gave me perfect, clean lines and sharp edges, everyone keeps telling me how awesome it looks! It was also super easy to get in the day I wanted. Couldn’t have gone any better.

Walked in off the street on a Monday afternoon. Jesse drew up a beautiful script of a line from a poem I wanted on my ribs. Couldn’t be happier with it! Everyone is so cool and chill in the shop. Absolutely go here if you want ink, even on a whim. They do amazing work!

While visiting Portland my girlfriend and I decided to spend a day getting spontaneous tattoos. We walked in off the street and Amy was incredibly thoughtful, precise, funny, and an all-​around great mix of professional and genuine. She was able to draw out our ideas and perfect them on paper within minutes, and both of our tattoos came out exactly as we’d hoped and then some. Next time we’re looking to have solid work done in the Portland area we will most certainly be back.

First, the artist:
Amy Cole so completely rocks. I met with her when starting the design of my back piece, went through several books, and chose elements I liked. When she showed me the drawing she’d come up with, I commented that it was nothing like what I was thinking, but everything I wanted.
The color palette she chose for my tattoo, and the way she applied it, made the tattoo incredibly vibrant and beautiful. I will never go to anyone else for ink, unless she tells me that that other person is better suited for the job.
Now on to the studio:
I love the space. It’s open, well-​lit, and airy. The workspace is well laid out, with drawing tables in the front and tattooing space in the back by the windows. The place seems ideally situated for a tattoo studio.

I’ve had Drat working on my sleeve for the last year. We just finished it last month and will be starting on the next sleeve soon. I can not give Drat enough props for the work that he does. He has a light hand. There is a reason I pass hundreds of tattoo shops and drive over an hour just to have him tattoo me. He has gone over (touched up/​fixed) many other tattoos done by other «well known» tattoo shops, leaving them looking better than what those other «well known» tattoo shops did the first time around. Professionally, Drat is great. He would never sacrifice his reputation in order to make a quick dollar from doing a shitty tattoo. I get many complements on my sleeve, and always tell them «Drat at Ever True». I’m a customer for life. I recommend anyone looking for a new artist or place to get work done. Drat at Ever True Tattoo!

Drat is like an otter — a sexy little otter! I could spend hours and hours just staring at him, and there’s no one I’d rather pay to poke me in the arm thousands of times. The skin is the largest organ of the human body, and Drat plays that organ like a virtuoso. If you want to get scrubbed, shaved, stabbed, and slathered, Drat’s your man!

Not a short-​sleeved summer day has gone by that strangers have not stopped me on the street to inquire about the first and largest tattoo I have from Jesse Carr. The color work is exquisite, and after 5+years the most common question I get is «IS THAT NEW?» The color is that vibrant and eye-​catching. Also as a custom piece I felt that Jesse listened carefully to what I wanted and drew up a tattoo that was perfectly suited to both my desires and the art form. Since this piece I have 3 more smaller, but equally beautiful pieces of art, the color and details of which have lost nothing to scale. Jesse’s time in the business is apparent not only in his beautiful artwork, but also professionalism and standards of cleanliness. I’ve recommended him as an artist dozens, if not hundreds of times to friends, family, Co workers and strangers on the street, and now to you, Unilocaler. Amazing.
