They just went out of business! So sad, for us anyway. Such a great neighborhood vibe there. Love Division, now and back then… Perhaps more pizza than the strip can handle? Pizza Maria also closed.

My first time here and I really enjoy the pizza I had. But I found out it’s about to close. So hurry over before Friday I think it is.

$ 8 for a shot of well whiskey and some hot water is extremely steep. Good food, though! Most of the staff is fantastic as well, with one very opinionated, privileged exception. Unfortunately, the price gouging and extremely negative experience with one bartender has majorly killed my love for this place. Maybe I’ll be back in a few months.

Small chill spot with live music. Very laid back environment. Good pizzas and spirits, locally owned spot, in anyway you can find the owner hanging out shooting the breeze.

I had the spaghetti and it was decent spaghetti, but I could’ve made this spaghetti at home for much less. There wasn’t anything special about it and there should’ve been! Atmosphere was great, there was a live band playing, which was neat. Maybe I should try their pizza. but I probably won’t be back. Also, no ciders?! How hard is it to have at least one cider on the menu? Let down.

Very underimpressed! Salad was nothing special and my pizza was burnt! The crusts were not edible. Maybe the five star reviews are for the music and mic nights because the pizza is nothing to rave about. Workers are inattentive. We are visiting from out of town and everything we’ve ate in Portland has been fantastic until Eugenios. We would have gone to Pizza Maria if it wasn’t closed for the night. Wish we had passed on Eugenios!

I had such a good time here. Came in for late night thin crust pizza and cold beers. There was some mellow live guitar that was relaxing. The pepperoni pizza was excellent and the San Antonio was distinctly different. I loved the cool avocado balanced with the hot sauce. This was my favorite pizza I’ve had while in Portland. It’s not just about pitching that you have woodfired pizza or artisan pizza. It takes thought and invention putting good ingredients together. I’d come back to Eugenios next time I’m in town for sure. I hope they keep adding interesting pizzas to the menu!

Delectable! This locally-owned yummery serves up outstanding and unique ultra-thin crust pizzas for a great price while doubling as a great little music venue. Eugenios is located in one of the few original buildings left on Division; the building’s 1926 brick-and-mortar charm has been maintained exteriorly, while the inside is a throw-back to the era of Prohibition speakeasies with dark lighting, wooden bar, and simple 2 tops and couches for lounging. But who are we kidding? We are mostly here for the food! The divine pizzas and gigantic cookies can be eaten in-house or taken to-go and are enough to make this place worthy of frequent haunting.

I love this place. Besides the excellent, home cooked food, the atmosphere is charming. My fave foods are the pizzas, excellent, thin crust, fresh herbs and several vegetarian options. Also great, actually sublime, is the home-made chicken salad. Whether alone or on a sandwich, this delectable mix of white meat chicken, slivered almonds, grapes and other good stuff makes me come back week after week. Another great thing about Eugenios is that it’s a musical joint. A musicians hang-out, it has a time honored tradition of giving starving artists a chance to perform. Lately the line up has included Friday night comedy. Finally, Eugenios has a real neighborhood feel. Even though it’s located in the now trendy part of Portland – Division Street – the staff are very laid back and friendly. I am a middle aged woman and find that people of all ages are made to feel welcome and safe. I see people from 21 to 71(mostly a younger crowd but a few of us ancients still hang) and the medley of folks creates a nice, upbeat vibe. I highly recommend Eugenios!

I love the vibe of this restaurant. The staff, décor, lighting, and especially the music were all great. I got pizza for dinner. It was good but nothing to brag about.

What a find! Ultra thin crust, crispy pizza deliciousness! Often places that try this end up burning the pizza. Not here! The vibe is very chill. Everyone was super friendly but laid back. We were here for a late lunch. We will return to try late night scene and live music(as well as more pizza!!!)

Terrible service. Terrible terrible experience. When we arrived there were 3 other tables. One table of which wasn’t eating food but only having a drink. 1.Weren’t greeted when we got inside. 2. We weren’t given any water or napkins. 3. Our food took a half an hour(we ordered a mini pizza) and when we asked«About how much longer do you think the food will take?» the response was: «What food?» The pizza came out and it was just average. Pretty small for a 10 dollar mini pizza. The aesthetics and the atmosphere was quaint and felt like a little bit of Italy however the service will have me never coming back to this place. I don’t recommend it to anyone.

Super cool vibe. A mix of people and the staff treat everyone the same — with respect and like family. The food is amazing, they have a great selection of wine. They play southern blue grass type music and the décor is a Mötley Crüe of items. Love this place.

Wow! First time here and it was great. Cozy atmosphere and great for meeting w/friends or for a date. The spaghetti was wonderful and filling and the live music on Wed nights was lively and entertaining. For your first time go early and get the lay of the land and menu. Take your time and enjoy this place, it’s well worth it. p. s. I would have taken a picture of the food but I ate it. Om nom nom.

If you want authentic Italian pizza come here. None of that sauce-soaked, thick chewy crust. Nope! This is all toppings and hearty flavor from the toasty crust. Be prepared to eat a whole pizza on your own. These are personal sized(at least in my opinion). I ordered the Provenzano, which had pepperoni, garlic, olives, and silky chevre. The pizza takes a while to come to the table, but that is usually a good sign. It’s a small place with bar seating and table seats. Not pricey, $ 10 for a full pizza and that will probably fill you up. I would definitely come here again. And not share my pizza this time :)

Let me start this review by saying that I think Eugenios is a pretty good place. They have wonderful employees and the store just has a warm quality to it. That said, it’s an odd place. We came in on open mic night, which I’m always a fan of. I like hearing music, and I like it even more when it is live and free. Unfortunately, the artists waiting their turn to play were taking up every single table in the restaurant. We were forced to sit at the bar. I think that the pizzas are good, but they are BARELY pizzas. They are made on a crust that I can only describe as a tortilla. Ingredients are fresh, overall quality is fine… but if you have a craving for pizza, this is probably not the pizza that you’re craving. One person can EASILY eat a Eugenios pizza solo. Beyond that, I really enjoy the place. I’m a fan.

PIZZAOHMYGOODNESSTHEPIZZA! I came here with the lovely and charming(ANDCLEARLYINTHEKNOW) Cynthia L and I wasn’t really excited but going with the flow. Pizza, not really my meal of choice usually, but hey, I do like it, just not any old pizza. BUTTHENTHEPIZZA. The set up is a little odd, do you sit or order at the bar? Yes. Is it cash only? Yes. I think. Do they bring you things or do you get them yourself? Yes. But… this the ‘wafer-thinnest’ crust I’ve ever had, almost more like crisped cheese itself holding up delicious toppings(I got the Porcellina, without onions because yuck, onions) with more cheese on top. I’d eat this pizza every day if you let me, but thankfully, you’re controlling and you won’t.

I wasn’t even here for the live music. We came here to stuff our faces with pizza. Here’s another pizza that I can’t identify the genre. It’s crazy-crisp and thin, and the preference of using stronger hard cheeses for flavor versus a ton of mozzarella was a welcome change! For $ 11, you can get a personal pizza. We were told that they had 3 pizza ovens, so there would be a delay on the 4th. As usual, we weren’t in any hurry, so we took in the fun, quirky surroundings. I saw two small Marx brothers statues and was almost tempted to ask if they were for sale! The San Antonio Del Mar — It sounded so tasty and odd, I had to get it: jalapeño, serrano, cheese, onion, cilantro and hot sauce(we omitted the avocado and tomato for our table.) It was definitely my favorite; so fresh and light with a little kick. Margherita — My favorite kind of pizza in general, and it was delicious with basil, tomato and sharp cheese flavor. Wafer-thin(pronounced ‘woffer-thin’!) Porcellina — Ham, bleu cheese, and onions; I didn’t taste it because there was ham on it, but the other two at our table sure enjoyed it. Another ordered the pepperoni and said that he didn’t like it as much as the others. It had both marinara and pesto on it though; unusual. The one guy that served us was so nice(and funny!) For some reason, every time he would hand me a cup of creamer, there would be a coffee ground in it, or something else in it, so finally, he just handed me the creamer container lol As a side note, the drip coffee and water were self-service, and you order food at the bar. I’ll definitely come back when in the area :)

Fun atmosphere! Good pizza and they carry some good beers. Three of us shared the Margherita pizza and the Porcellina with ham, onions, gorgonzola, and mozzarella. I liked the Margherita better but both were pretty good. Their pizzas are 10 inches and $ 10 each. Prices are reasonable. Everyone liked the pizza. I thought it was good but could have used an extra kick I think. Not much sauce on the pizza. We shared 2 pizzas between 3 people which was enough for a moderate dinner but we weren’t stuffed. We had the Breakfast Porter and it was really good. You order at the counter. No waiter service except to bring you your food when it’s ready. A guy was setting up to play music but I think he started later on. We hoped to hear some live music but didn’t stay late enough. Eugenios is a quirky little spot. I’d return when in Portland!
