One of Portland’s best kept«do well by doing good» secrets. Well-priced treasures big & small. Well sorted, good-to-excellent quality. Stumbled in on my way to La Cocina(authentic Mexican Restaurant) 3 doors down. Am a frequent browser, and donate my tired treasures here.

What a random find, but what a find it is. We were driving to a nearby coffee shop and I saw this out of the corner of my eye and I had to come back. Most thrift stores nowadays seem to sell«junk» at high mark-up prices and one must be a fool to fall for the deception. This place, however, is a genuine thrift store, with all the proceeds going to their warehouse program. Frankly, though, I just thought it was great to buy real second hand things at real second prices. Picked up a wooden fish, a couple of small glazed ceramic bowls, a cute glass jar, and some used books. Highly recommended!

Nice quality, eclectic selection of mostly vintage stuff & well-priced, too. Clean & organized space is easy to peruse. The super-nice folks who operate this shop do it for a very good cause.

This is the place to go if you are not a «digger.» Everything is clean, orderly, and in working order(or labeled otherwise). They have mostly larger items, like desks and dressers, but some small things too, like silver spoons and cufflinks. No clothing though… The small stagnant stock is the only downside.

Excellent quality at this store! You can tell they are very selective about what they choose, careful about the care for their items and thoughtful in their displays. Unlike many thrift stores, The Estate Store puts out enough to fill the store, but not so much that you are drowning in «stuff»! It is easy to move about the store and see exactly what they have. This store also has a large selection of quality furniture, particularly tables and chests/drawers. Unfortunately this time they didn’t have what I was looking for, but I will definitely be checking in whenever I am in the area. Even when they don’t have what you want there is plenty of jewelry, kitchen ware and art pieces to intrigue…

I am one of those that will give this store 5 stars! I’ve not really been there before, but they have good PR. When they say they’ll call me back, you don’t have to wait very long, they go do check what you want, and they do CALLYOUBACK. That’s how you could tell, they really did their job by doing a ‘search’. They’re also pleasant on the phone! I’m surprised!

The Estate Store has been a regular stop for us for several years. The prices are reasonable, the items interesting and often surprising, and«rules of full disclosure» we donate as well as purchase. Overseen by Ed the Amazing we are constantly amazed by the great finds! Not only is his knowledge deep, his blog and«featured items» which can be delivered o you by e mail, is a welcomed arrival on a daily basis.

We were having trouble finding chairs to go with a very cool vintage table. The Estate Store had five fabulous brown leather chairs that were meant for our table. And they were as close to new as possible without coming straight from a store. The Estate Store always has really interesting items, a very fun place to browse. And I love that the money goes to help the work of the Community Warehouse. All around great place!

The Estate Store is brilliant. Not only can you find an eclectic array of antiques, vintage goods, retro furniture and housewares… but EVERY penny you spend goes directly to Community Warehouse(a friendly, local non-profit that collects donated households goods and furniture and connects them with our neighbors in need.) Another awesome part about the store… the BLOG. You gotta read this. It will give you a great idea of what’s in the store today, and you’ll get a solid chuckle while you’re at it. Oh, and the people you’ll meet there, from the volunteers and staff, to fellow customers are wonderful. Stop by and see for yourself :)

The Estate Store consistently has high quality items at very reasonable prices. My girlfriend and I have furnished most of our living room with Estate Store finds and have never been disappointed afterwards. Not only are the deals great, but the search is fun too as the Estate Store blog, where you can check out incoming stock, is updated daily and is very charmingly written. Lastly, In shopping at The Estate Store you are supporting the work of The Community Warehouse. The Community Warehouse provides free furniture and housewares to low-income individuals and families who are moving into new apartments. As a social worker who has worked with numerous young adults transitioning from homelessness to housing, I have seen first hand the difference this program makes. Shopping at the Estate Store serves you, your community and it keeps that entertaining blogger busy. Check it out!

Amazing deals on Fine used items and the ARTWORKOHMY! I was cruising down MLKJR. thrift store shopping and was drawn to the Estate Store because of the mass amount of artwork hanging everywhere. I could see it all from the street through the window. I walked into the main area(there is also a garage sale section with random items next door) and the place had exquisite furniture, china, glass wear, crystal, paintings, prints, and sculpture. I was really impressed by the quality of all the items that I found as well as the prices. Everything was priced very reasonably for the type of goods that I saw. I ended up getting a framed Salvador Dali, «Gemini» colored print, for 20 bucks! I was so happy with my score. I was perplexed though because the guy working, who may own the place, thought the print was a Picasso. Nonetheless, he was really great and very helpful. There was also a nice lady who wrapped my artwork in some paper for my trip home to Seattle. Next time I’m in Portland I plan on swinging in to see what other great finds they’ll have.

Neat little add on to the estate store on MLK. This little place is usually only open on the weekends but you can find some pretty cheap household goods. The entrance is the little small door next to the Estate Store on MLK.
