Ernie’s Pool and Darts

Pool cheaper than ya mother after a few mimosas. The jukebox is chock full of hits I used to play back in my t-​top Trans Am in ’78. The beer is cold, the service is warm and with a smile. However, you won’t be smiling after I kick your ass at darts, which they also have. Bill B.

This place, like others have said, is a hidden gem in the Portland area. It’s your basic dive bar with pool, darts, ping pong, cheap beer, and classic rock. There’s nothing fancy here, but you shouldn’t be coming here if you’re looking for fancy. This place excels well in what it tries to do.
This place is full of great people. I had the chance to chat with Dona for awhile. Dona is an amazing bartender. She’s down-​to-​earth and truly makes this place a 5-​star dive bar experience. She boasts some really cheap beer ($ 1.50 Busch drafts) and local craft options (Gritty’s and Geary’s for $ 3.50). There’s also some food (pizza, meatball sub, etc) available for purchase. And they have an old-​school jukebox. Dona told me she does not plan to upgrade to TouchTones, because with the old-​school jukebox, you get more plays for less money. It’s full of classic rock, with a couple random country and pop albums thrown in there. And even though it’s located on Forest Ave, parking was a breeze. We got a spot literally by the front door. It beats the downtown parking scene by far.
Overall, this place is great for a chill night, especially if you want to avoid the madness downtown. If you like pool, darts, ping pong, cheap beer, and classic rock, look no further!

Pool hall that proves what’s inside is more important than how it looks. Inexpensive price for pool with 1 dollar drafts, they even have ping pong. If you are a fan of pool, ping pong or cheap beers, make a stop for a game. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and even invited me to come play for an amateur league despite my terrible lack of skill. Make a stop by!

Hidden gem! Nothing special about Ernie’s but has everything you need. Pool is very affordable, the food is sneaky good, and you can’t go wrong with $ 1 Busch light and natty light drafts. If your looking to relax, play some pool, and have some drinks with your friends. Definitely check out Ernie’s
