Beautiful interior and building, wonderful service and food. Appropriate background music — ambience spot on! I will be back!

I’m sad to write a disappointing review but the food just wasn’t great. The space was beautiful and the staff was attentive and friendly. But the food just wasn’t super yummy. I got the polenta which was a block of polenta on top of sauce with 2 pieces of eggplant with a little bit of tofu inside and some greens and salsa. The eggplant was dry and tough and the flavored were muted and just a little off. It was beautifully played though. My friend got the lentils which were undercooked. The empanadas were the best of what we had.

Great food, ambience and service. The Ensalada is amazing!- A perfect combination of flavors and textures. The ceviche is good and so is the Matcha green tea cheesecake and polenta. The soy curl empanada was ok. A little dry and bland but did come with a good dipping sauce. It’s a little overpriced for the portion sizes or I’d go more often.

Fantastic entrée selections with amazing tastes. The Pisco sour I had was great and the beer selection is ample.

Went to Epif for the first time last night. The service was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere lovely, the cocktails excellent and unique, and the food amazing. we had: * ceviche * charquican * matcha(vegan) cheesecake Everything was delicious and the charquican had some of the most beautiful plating I’ve seen in a while. I’m a really big fan of Andina(despite being vegan and having only one option there). While the cuisine at Epif differs from Andina a bit regionally, Epif gave me a more chilled out, casual, veg*-friendly Andina experience which I’m totally down with. Can’t wait to return and will probably order the exact same stuff.

The food in Portland is a vegetarian’s dream come true. Epif does not disappoint from it’s fun staff to it’s incredible food. This was one of my favorite spots while in the city. I can’t wait to go back!

Lovely setting, the ambiance was casual and welcoming. Though not a vegan, I found the offerings very appealing on the menu, and was not disappointed with the real thing. The mushroom ceviche was flavorful and had great texture; enjoyed the empanadas; and lentejas rocked! Pisco sour — yum. Small but heartfelt menu.

Went in a couple times since I live in the area. Rather disappointing. Some of the food was alright, but it mostly frilly and overpriced. The lentejas was okay, but was cold, wtf? The other stuff tasted bland and rather blah. I understand the vegan thing, but the ceviche didn’t really taste like ceviche, maybe call it something else? Then came the drinks: pretentious and a little too elaborate, I’ll just have a glass of wine, thanks. The table service was okay, but I had a better experience at the bar, at least I had some decent conversation and didn’t have to stare at that hipster rainbow mural. I do like the architecture of the building itself, the tree cutout is cool. After watching this place being built for two years, the experience is anticlimactic. On the up-side, this might turn into something great when someone else buys it. This place could be better if they spent less time trying to be «cute» and more time getting the basics right.

Loved the variety of Pisco cocktails! If you haven’t had a Pisco sour, get one! Then try all their other takes on cocktails incorporating Pisco. Definitely a niche restaurant being a mezcla of southern American cuisine(veggie style) but fantastic flavor, beautiful presentation and a quality, inviting décor. Definitely a Portland style restaurant that needs to stay around!

Pleasant surprise. New Chilean vegetarian restaurant. A hidden gem. Great food and excellent service. If you enjoy vegetable dishes, you will love Ipif. Cooked with Chilean flavored, the meals are a delight.

One of the more forgettable dinners I’ve had. The bbq soy curl empanada was lacking and tasted more like something I bought frozen from Food Fight. The green salad was also something anyone could make at home as well. The décor and ambiance is very welcoming, and I might sit at the bar next time to prompt better service. I love veggie spots but this place sadly won’t make it.

If you’re a vegetarian, Epif is not to be missed. Actually, even if you eat meat(as I do), you should still try this place. The empanadas were delicious and I especially enjoyed the mushroom based ceviche. The polenta/rolled eggplant was also really tasty, very moist and flavorful. As for the cocktails, I tried the Pisco Sour and the Charlie Peace, both were well made and nicely balanced. I recommend a visit!

After watching this restaurant get built for months I was so excited for their opening. I went with a group of four — ordering two appetizers, an entrée for each, and a cheesecake to share. The flavors of the ceviche and empanadas were delicious. I found the soy curl empanada to be fairly dry, however. For the entrees, two of us ordered the polenta and unfortunately found ourselves quite disappointed. While it tasted fairly good it is a SMALL dish with a lonely little piece of polenta. Overall, we felt like the atmosphere of the restaurant was great, the flavors for the most part were delicious, but after spending over $ 120 on a meal we all left hungry and in search of more food. The shining star of the whole evening was the cheesecake! I would absolutely recommend ordering a slice.

New veggie place, enjoyed a really nice meal. My friend and I had gone to Pambiche and of course the wait was super long. Walking up the street we saw the colorful storefront and it looked so warm and inviting we went in instantly. We were excited to try their Latin American inspired menu — brother if us are vegetarians but the food was accessible. The cheese empanadas is so good!!! Seriously one of the best I’ve ever had I could have eaten 10. The bbq empanadas was sort of ‘eh’ for me. For the main course I had the polenta — I found it dry, didn’t really love it. My friend had the tempeh and portabello. he didn’t live the tempeh but said the mash of squash and potato was really good(I tried it and it was good). All the sauces and salsas are fresh and tasty. The dining space is pretty — though I find the flying Llama mural a little weird but my friend loves it. Also really creative cocktails– give it a try. Nice place.

Came to the opening and was not disappointed! Ambience is beautiful. Service is great. Food was amazing! I cannot wait to come back and give them a five star review! A few things that need improvement: Non-alcoholic drink options(maybe Peruvian Chicha Morada, Bolivian Linaza, at least some fruity aguas frescas!) The food was a little underseasoned. Empanadas could use a sauce or at least a lime wedge to squeeze, since they were a bit dry. Everything definitely needed more salt. Overall it’s a great concept and I’m definitely coming back!
