Elevations Hair Design

I went to get highlights and a haircut from Kristy today. This was my first appointment, and I am elated that I found an amazing stylist in Portland! When walking in, I was taken back by the gorgeous salon. I was quickly greeted by Kristy and had no wait time. Big plus! On top of that she asked a lot of questions which enabled her to grasp what I wanted and how we can get there. The end result is amazing. She created perfect blonde highlights exactly as I envisioned and a trim to keep my hair growing longer and healthy! If you’re looking for an awesome new stylist, you should seriously consider going to see Kristy.

I’ve lived here 10 years and had a very hard time finding a hairstylist who is consistent. Kristy is amazing! She totally fixed a very bad color I had done, and is very open to discussing option with very particular clients I.e. me :) I would recommend her to everyone.

Kristy is a great hair stylist! She is naturally artistic and has an eye for design which shows through in her work. She bounces off your ideas and works with you to create a style that fits your face shape and personality. I am so happy with my hair. I will be going back

Kristy has been styling my hair for several years now and I always look forward to my appointments. Her salon is pretty, light and bright. I find it is a very relaxing place to feel pampered and have your hair done by a very talented stylist.

I’ve been a client of Kristy’s for years and I love and trust her work. Just prior to my last appt I told her I wanted to go for a short cut… but felt myself wavering the day of… when I arrived at my apt Kristy had already picked out a cute cut for me and I went for it. It looks fantastic! Strangers tell me it looks great and ask for Kristy’s card and friends love it and say I look 10 years younger! Kristy is the only person I trust with my cut and color-​I love her!

Kristy asked just the right questions and then suggested the right approach for my hair. The result was easy to take care of and gave me the right kind of younger look without going too far. I’ve received many positive comments and will be returning.

I found Kristy and Elevations Hair Design through Unilocal because I needed a new stylist and it’s been great! Kristy is amazing — I’ve had great experiences time after time. I get a cut and color each time and have never been disappointed. She even does hair extensions.

I went an got my hair done by Nicole and she is AMAZING. The salon was cute, there are only two stations, one for her and one for the owner. I got a full head of highlights and Nicole is really amazing at what she does. She’s also really sweet and friendly and I had a great time getting to know her. I will definitely be back!

Red hair demands almost perfect upkeep. Those who attempt to do it at home must posses a stout heart, nimble fingers, and a tolerance for streaky frustration. No stranger to DIY hair color, I have always embraced sudden and dramatic changes and less than natural results in the name of hair fashion. Not too long ago, however, I decided that acheiving perfect reults and enviably vibrant (yet mostly natural looking) red hair might be a feat best left to the experts. Thats when I turned to Elevations.
Originally, I chose Elevations because it was close to home (Garden Home) and convenient… those treks to Dosha downtown seemed onerous, and I was tired of the parking grind. I worked with one woman there who did a passable job, until she left the salon. Thats when the fates and stars aligned. Elevations moved to Oleson Road, to a much more comfortable and warm feeling space. (Still a full service salon with a LMT onsite). And I made an appointment with Susanne – for color (weave) and cut.
When was the last time you walked into work and were greeted with shouts and cheers? I couldn’t have been on site more than five minutes when one person, walking by, observed «you look like a coed.» (I haven’t been a coed in almost twenty years). This wasn’t the first time Susanne had done my dye job… each time, I get the same response. The base color is perfect and the highlights stellar. Of course, red fades over time, so I recommend touch up at six weeks. Did I mention the blowout and straightening? Perfect, too.
There are other stylists/​colorists at Elevations… I think that there are four or five on staff. A couple have a large clientele, and it may be difficult (or a lengthy wait) to get in to see them. I took the first available… and thats how I found Susanne, I can’t say enough about her, but I think the rest of the staff is excellent as well.

This is a full service Salon and NOT one of those chop-​shops!
They are in the same shopping center as Lamb’s Thriftway, Blockbuster, Baskin Robbins, Starbucks, etc in the SW Portland/​Tigard/​Beaverton area at Garden Home and Oleson Roads.
I haven’t personally experienced the hair stylists work at this place coz I get my ears-​lowered at Sam’s Barber Shop, but I am told it is spot-​on. I DO know first ‘hand’ (and feet) that the Nail Technician here is the best REAL Nail Technician in the Portland-​Metro-​Area and can converse in English. She is very experienced and has a loyal (diehard) following so calling ahead is highly recommended.
