Eclectic Eatery and BBQ

I could smell barbecue one afternoon, while perusing my options at Cartlandia. I had tried another barbecue cart their previously (that at the writing of this review is no longer located there) and so I thought I’d give this place a try.
BIG. MISTAKE. I went for the pulled pork sandwich, with came with two sides and choice of sauce (hot, sweet, black cherry). I went for the hot, which believe you me, was not hot at all.
Having never been there I decided I’d go for potato salad (a barbecue staple) and asked the man working (owner? chef? not sure) what he recommended for my second side. He advised the baked beans, and I heeded that advice.
ALSO A MISTAKE. The baked beans were so salty I just couldn’t even get half-​way through them. The potato salad taste very salty as well, but likely was masked a bit more since it’s made with mayo, etc to dilute it. They were just not tasty at all,
The bun was solid on the pulled pork. He asked if I had wanted coleslaw on it (uh, duh — is there any other way to have pulled pork sandwich?) and it was the tiniest amount ever. The was not enough sauce to even coat the pulled pork, he had just thrown some on top of the meat (mix it in a bowl before, maybe?) and the sandwich was ok, initially. The coleslaw/​sauce/​pork managed to be ok together, but the pork not touching the sauce itself was super salty as well!
Now admittedly, I don’t use a TON of salt when cooking myself, but I understand it is necessary to season meat, and other items. That being said, I literally felt as though the items on my plate were just soft salt licks.
The food was so bad, that I would never come back to this place, Not with a new bbq truck open there, hog wild down the street, and J Mo’s pulled pork over at Carts on foster.
It’s the worst cart experience I’ve ever had at Cartlandia.

The ribs come with 3 choices of sauce hot, sweet, black cherry. I got sweet– which was very sweet. They were good, they fell off the bone. The Mac was with rigatoni I think, I didn’t like it. It didn’t have much cheese and it was cold. Maybe I’m just not used to it but I wish I would have known its not regular Mac and cheese. Maybe a sign that says its different. The watermelon was good. I hate when watermelon isn’t fresh and it gets sandy feeling but this watermelon was crisp and cold. My boyfriend got an apple soda, he loved it.
