I was at a conference at the convention center and craving Thai food so I looked up what was around and I didn’t even realized the cart existed there, alone in the middle of a courtyard/park area with lots of tables. Service was hot and cold… the guy taking orders at the window was friendly and using terms of endearment one minute then short and abrasive the next. I almost appreciate that! My order came out quick. I had crab puffs, Pad Kee Mao, and Thai iced tea. I ordered my noodles hot, it came out piping hot and spicy which a lot of places fail to do. Perfect amount of heat because when I said«hot», I mean it. I also got three extra crab puffs in my order, thank you so much! That was a lot of food so I had leftovers for dinner. I think E-San Thai is alright, but this location is much better than the restaurant and other cart on Belmont. The courtyard was such a tranquil places to eat lunch.

I really want to like this thai cart, especially since it is right outside my office. But the inconsistency with heat ratings is killing me. It is different every time. I finally resorted to mild which is hard for me as I love good spice(just not killer spice). But then its just way too bland. This time I asked for a 3 on a scale of 1 – 5. This is not a 3; it’s a 4 or most likely 5. The volume of chili flakes/peppers is insane my lips are on fire. And I’m so hungry but I can’t eat it like this. I do love some heat but I am going to have to order mild always and bring my own hot sauce to work. Meh.

Food as good, if not better, than most sit town Thai restaurants served fresh and quick from this little cart. Cannot believe the selection they offer and everything I’ve had has been amazing. Very inexpensive and the portions are generous. Highly recommended. Be aware they don’t mess around with the spice levels… hot is HOT!

Friendly service. This food cart is set away in a park where there are none others in the immediate vicinity. I appreciated the enthusiasm of the guy behind the window. I only had an appetizer the day I was there. The food was served hot and tasty.

Inconsistent, very little chicken, heavy on the sauce. The flavor is great, but a pile of noodles all by itself without veggies and meat is just not healthy. Do call ahead or go very early(11am) or expect a long wait.

I got the lemon grass soup medium spicy with rice. 16oz of soup and a whole box of rice was only $ 4! So delicious and spicy. The flavors aren’t too salty and the veggies taste very fresh. I’ll be back for sure!

My favorite Thai food in Portland. Every item I have ordered here has been delicious, hot, and promptly prepared. In addition to the excellent and well-prepared food, the staff is friendly, fast, and efficient. Its also really helpful to be able to call your order in ahead of time to save on the wait time. So glad this cart is here. Hope it never moves!

I was referred here by a fella in the bank. He suggested E-San and told me about the delicious menu so I had to go. The servings are huge and very affordable. I tried the Pad Thai with extra peanut sauce(which they threw in for free) and a garden roll. They offer the Pad Thai with either tofu or chicken, I like the chicken, they put plenty in the entrée. It was so yummy I had to save half for the next day. The garden rolls were huge! I could only eat half an order. I recommend this food cart!
