I love the clothes at Donna and Toots. The owner Susanne is talented and designs clothes the way I envision my dream wardrobe in my head. Only she can actually sew awesome clothes, and me, not so much. Which is why I signed up for one of her A-​Line Skirt sewing classes. Just in the first night I learned so much. We’re learning how to modify a basic pattern to fit our very own bodies, then learn some of her cute embellishing techniques to personalize our skirt.
How cool is that?! I’ll walk away with a skirt that actually fits my J-​Lo bootie and my waist, plus pattern to make as many more as I like! (Hey clothing makers, I may have a butt but I have a waistline too. I’m not a friggin’ Oompa Loompa!)
So if you want quality, talk to Susanne. I don’t know how she offers so much quality for such low prices, but she does.

Woohoo for cute new boutique in my hood (just moved to 35th & Division)! I seriously heart the owner, Suzanne. No, not just because she is cute, because she gets down to biznazz. Unlike all those snooty overpriced «local pdx» places in downtown, Donna & Toots has nice clothes at reasonable prices… But wait, there’s more.
When I tried on a shirt that didn’t fit quite right, Suzanne said, Oh, that’s one of ours, I can make it for you. Huhwha? For the same price as off-​the-​rack, Suzanne helped me pick my favorite pretty fabric, shiny buttons, and made an adjustment so the shirt fits just right. And, she emailed me when it was ready! I loved it so much, I ordered a second one as soon as the first was in.

Let me first admit that my guy enjoys shopping for clothes for me! And he prefers it that I’m not there. Sometimes that is a great thing… well it’s great always in that I’m not a huge shopper myself… but, you know, it’s hard to shop for other people.
that said, the folks at Donna and Toots work magic with him. I’d swear whichever owner is there is my sister and she’s always looking out for me.
He has a great time and he gets the attention and assistance he likes and I reap the benefits. My favorite orange sweater is from there.
They have an amazing selection of funky, fabulous jewelry and beautiful leather wallets, it ALL seems local– or even made there at the boutique yet most items are under 50.00.
Really, GO NOW… or suggest it to your guy

The owners/​staff here are ALWAYS friendly and unpretentious. The clothing is locally designed and cute, and the store houses cute accessories like jewelry and handbags, as well as organic yummy smelling lotions. I highly recommend this shop!

I love walking in and hearing the buzz of the sewing machine as some cute frocks are brought to life by an indie designer at Donna and Toots. And for a girl like me who can’t even sew on a button… this place is brilliant! They offer one-​on-​one and group sewing classes so you can whip up something as simple as a bag, or take on a more elaborate project like making your own shirt or skirt.
If you are looking to buy something right off the rack, they have a darling selection of dresses, pants and skirts from local designers. The selection is limited, but everything is cute, cute, cute!

A cute boutique on Alberta street with some clothes made on the premises. The shop is adorable, with a variety of skirts, dresses, and coats from independent designers. They also carry the best sweater tights I’ve found yet!
This is one of many boutiques springing up along Alberta, but it’s fun to see the work table and fabrics in the back room and know that you’re supporting a local designer.
Donna & Toots has some of the most adorable hats in town, but they only carry a few, so it’s essential to grab it while you can! I learned that lesson when I went back for a hat I couldn’t stop thinking about, but it was the only one and someone else had nabbed it!
