Deric Schoof – Aspire Mortgage Group

Deric Schoof is magic.
He helped us get into our first house, starting with several months’ worth of correspondence monitoring our credit readiness, down payment fund, and our ideal move-​in date. When we were finally in the later stages of the process, we scheduled an appointment where Deric sat with us and got to know us, our story, and our hopes for our new home.
After that, he gave us (newbies) a very thorough introduction and explanation of the process, including which of several loan options would be best for us and our finances in the long run.
When we were ready to start choosing a home, we knew Deric had our back, so when our Realtor (See my review of Dan Hardy Properties) started to help us with the bidding process, we were completely confident trusting both of them to work together in our best interest. The housing market is crazy, so we ended up bidding on several homes before we found ours. Each time, the mantra was «If Deric says it’s ok, let’s do it.»
With our team of Dan & Kristin at Hardy Properties and Deric, we felt like we just got to point to a house and say «I want this one» and they would try to make it work. I always knew they had our best interests in mind.
When we found our home, Deric used his Spidey-​sense to determine the best time and lock in the best interest rate for our loan (no, seriously, it jumped a full percentage point not 3 minutes after he locked in).
We continue to trust him with our financial Big Picture and have emailed several times asking for advice on various issues. He always responds in a timely manner (less than 24hrs), and the emails are full of details and sometimes extra information to help us make our choices.
