I have been riding since age 20 but I just didn’t have the energy anymore to commute to work and back by bike. I thought about getting an electric assist bike for a couple of years and then I visited Cynergy. The proprietors were really helpful and they answered all of my questions. They encouraged me to try out their bikes and that cinched it! I bought the EVOCROSS. I look forward to my ride to work in the evenings and I do not dread the ride home the next morning. I received a few comments like, «that’s cheating and what’s the point if it makes it easy!» To that I say, let me know how you feel when you are 57, Sonny! I still work up a sweat on the ride in(gradual incline for first 5 miles). I use the gears to make it a workout. I wasn’t born yesterday. I really love my EVOCROS… but, it could be a little more comfy on the shoulders. Oh well. I expect to be pedaling for another 30 years or more.

I am so delighted to be back on a bike again and love my e-bike. After a few years of illness I didn’t think i would ever bike again and now… here I am, enjoying cruising around town with that free feeling of biking. It makes errands fun and even the Portland rain doesn’t deter me from zipping up my rain gear and going outside on my new e-bike. I bought the Easy Motion Street model and I appreciated that Rich and Ruthellen helped me find a bike that fit my smaller frame and answered my questions and concerns. I have every confidence that they will be there for any future questions as well. Having the opportunity to take the bike out for an extended ride gave me the chance to really get a feel for how easy it was to bike on the trails and around town. If you are curious about ebikes I highly recommend taking a test ride and visiting their store.

I live about 11 miles from my office, but there are some great trails on the way. When my 25-year old car decided to take a nosedive, I figured it was time to start looking at alternative forms of transportation, and get some exercise to boot. Fired up google and started looking around. I made my first stop in the journey at Cynergy E-Bikes and I’m glad I did. All the staff I worked with were friendly, extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. I spent about an hour test-riding 3 different bikes on the streets near the shop. I gotta say, I’m impressed! But to really seal the deal, I needed to know what my commute would look like — committing to riding 22 miles a day, every working day, was a big deal for me. Luckily, they let you do extended test rides, and apply the cost to the final bike purchase! So we loaded a bike into the back of my truck, and off I went. That weekend, I kissed my wife goodbye and headed out. What a blast! The key for me is time saved. I have a regular road bike, and can do the whole commute on it — but at what cost? It only takes 45 minutes on an e-bike, with an average of 20mph, where on my regular bike it’s an hour and 20 minutes, averaging 14mph. This bike is saving me over an hour per day, that’s worth it! Summary: Cynergy will get you taken care of. They know their product, have a great selection, friendly staff, and a great test-ride program. If you’re shopping for an e-bike(or just thinking about it!) make sure to come here. You won’t be disappointed.

Really nice people with a good selection of E-bikes. I bought one of their Athens and I love it! I am out biking much more now knowing I can get back easily when I get tired. I highly recommend you go see them.

My family and I drove from Ashland, OR. to purchase an e-bike from Cynergy. I have shopped around and researched various e-bikes for my daughter and decided on Cynergy E-Bikes since they have numerous models available in the store to choose from. I spoke with the owner, Rich Fein, on the phone couple times before we ventured up to Portland. Rich was kind, personable and very knowlegeable about about e-bikes. We arrived at the shop and Ruthellen took my daughter«under her wings», made all the necessary adjustments on the bike, took her time explaining things, and then took her on a long test ride. Meanwhile, Rich explained to me about the other possible bikes for my daughter, in case she didn’t like the one I picked. We decided on the EG Athens. It’s a basic model, but I was impressed with the quality. I have, so far, ridden it few times myself and I am really happy with the ride accessories, and power. Overall, I am glad to have purchased the bike from Cynergy E-Bikes. Rich and Ruthellen made the experience very pleasant. Thank you.

A super friendly and helpful store, super knowledgeable and the bikes are super test rideable. They were doing a Pedal Palooza free pint at HUB special which caught my fancy and I bought a bike the very next day! The PDX steep hills and ridges are now like little ant hills on my commute

If you are thinking about buying an electric, this shop is definitely a mandatory visit. They have a good selection of bikes from several makers in all sizes. Rich knows the e-bike market very well, and knows his products even better. This business is entirely dedicated to e-bikes, so I think that gives it advantage over other traditional bike shops, because obviously they believe in these products 100%, and it shows. He understands that most folks walking through the doors will need a primer on e-bikes, he makes the effort to find out what you need an e-bike for, and he will patiently explain all the stuff that you need to know to test ride some appropriate bikes and make a good decision. He took me out with a couple bikes and showed me the ropes himself, and gave me plenty of time to test ride. He understands that first impressions on an e-bike can be deceptive, and knows its important to spend time time in the saddle to find what works for you. It’s similar to the process of buying a pro-level tennis racquet. In my case, he really went out of his way to accommodate me, and provide helpful tips and info without ever being pushy. I highly recommend patronizing this family-owned and operated shop.

Summary: Rich and Ruthellen are really cool, fun and easy to deal with. They have a lot of bikes in stock and know their stuff really well. I’d highly recommend them. I’d been looking at eBikes and reading reviews for a few weeks. Age and abuse have taken their toll on my ability to ride and my range grew smaller and smaller over time. An eBike seemed to be a good answer. After my research I was very interested in finding Currie Technology’s iZip E3 Path+ in stock somewhere local for a test ride. I chose Cynergy as my first stop because I heard an advertisement on OPB and they were listed on Currie’s website as an authorized dealer. I walked in and was met by Rich, the owner. He and his wife are very knowledgeable about eBikes, bikes and accessories(it’s obvious they’ve both ridden a lot). Rich walked me through the selections and immediately asked if I wanted to take a test ride. Well, that’s what I came there for, so yeah! Ok, I didn’t think I’d own an eBike the next day but one ride and I was hooked. I went with the bike I came in to look at, the iZip E3 Path+. I loved the Amsterdam look and practicality. So smooth, powerful, agile and easy to ride. My biggest surprise was that it felt so natural. Just like a normal bike with a little extra push(or a lot if you hit the boost). The way the electronics are configured seems to be well thought out for city riding. Rich delivered my bike promptly, fully charged and ready to go. I went out for a 3 hour ride and I couldn’t be happier. Thanks Rich and Ruthellen! I’m a very happy new eBike owner thanks to you two! Don
