Columbia Park Annex

Nice little spot to kick around a soccer ball, watch a little league baseball game, or enjoy a city-​sponsored «movie in the park» on a warm summer night.
I don’t actually spend much time AT this park, it’s just a nice shortcut to cut across on my way to the bigger and much prettier Columbia Park across the street.

Just when you thought Columbia Park couldn’t get any cooler! More space! More baseball diamonds! More soccer fields and football fields! Oh boy! You wanna take your dogs for a much needed and well-​deserved jog? Wanna just laze about, or throw a football or frisbee? You could do much worse than the annex. There’s always a lovely view on Mock’s Crest, and from my early childhood, one of the coolest houses in No Po, directly adjacent to this park/​annex (The big Blue and White monster, facing N. Willamette, w/​the running white fountain out front! They could charge for walking tours of that place, and I bet they’d draw some big crowds! I know I’d pay to see the inside of that estate! So many times in childhood I ran/​walked/​rode my bike past that place, wondering if Elvis or somebody else secretly lived there…
