Just had the worst Americano of my life. Weak, lukewarm with soy milk that tasted horrendous. I wanted to try local and something other than the long lines at the global coffee place but I would avoid this airport joint.

Excellent little coffee stand at the Portland Airport. Fast friendly and tasty. I’ve never heard of these guys so I gave them a try. Nice stop for a quality cup of coffee

How I miss the original coffee people. Not the airport kiosks but the shops in Portland. Walked up to the counter(just now) at the B terminal and the server said«we are closed». I began to apologize and walk away and she snarked«that’s why the arrow signs are put away.» I have no idea the closing procedures at any particular establishment. So the«arrow signs» are meaningless to me. A little graciousness goes a long way.

Most consistently friendly super high production coffee stand i have EVER seen. Doesn’t really get any better than that. Don’t let the line fool you, it moves fast. Full selection of heavy snacks, beverages, and coffee drinks. Located first thing past the Concourse D/E security check.

Wow, super friendly staff that knew the difference between a ‘wet’ and ‘dry’ cappuccino, and asked my preference. So nice to be treated so well when we were already stressed about a delayed flight.

Coffee and pastry good but the staff never seems to friendly here. In PDX abt once a month. I was the only person there and got a blank stare when I went to order and the baristas only spoke to me after I told her thank you. I hope they can stay in business with two Starbucks on the concourse now I do like the coffee.

With Coffee People being such a treat I have known since childhood, I went to it in Concourse C and I have been to it pre-security since then. They used to be throughout Portland until the barons of one-sized fits all coffee mentality diminished their genuine glory by relegating it to such an unfortunately small, but noticeable aspect of life in Portland as a hallmark of it’s airport. I used to go to them on Hawthorne and get their Peanut Butter shakes which continue to be good. In Concourse C, I had the Black Tiger Shake. It has a good coffee feel where the peanut butter and chocolate melds with it. True to the form of a coffee shake, the flavors mixed rather than competed with eachother. It was less than $ 5 and they offer yesterday’s pastries for an additional $ 1. They were also exceedingly quick. The shakes exceed Burgerville. Not only do they exceed them in flavor, but it goes through the straw whereas in Burgerville your in continuous battle with the milkshake to drink it. I don’t know their typical coffee, but their shakes can truly shake up the dessert scene at the airport. They manage to do something that good old Hamilton Beach mixers at diners hardly do and elevate the shake. Coffee People is worthwhile for flyers. They provide great tasting drinks and friendly staff who will make you a shake very quickly. I

There is no post TSA Star in the E Terminal so Coffee People becomes the Go To. Granted the product is 3 Stars but there is an extra star… the team! They are super friendly and really reflect the spirit of our city. This is one area where they give Starbucks a run for their money! Great Job!

I loved the taste of the pumpkin pie latte! I got it with nonfat milk and it still tasted so decadent. I have had other types of latte and coffee from Coffee People in the past and I have never been disappointed. Why on earth would anyone drink Starbucks when a Coffee People store exists in the Portland airport. Next time I’m in Portland, I’m going to stick it to big coffee and order from Coffee People!

Miss my Coffee People — - Last opp to get some beans before flying home. $ 19/lb for Colmbian beans Getta free cuppa to steel oneself against the rain for the brisk run to ramp to board! Alllll the way at the end! I am with Izzy N in stating i prefer the stand on the other side of the airport better… seating more scenic there.

I’m always excited to try a new coffee place, especially with a drink like ooey gooey caramel latte on the menu. I got a small nonfat one, and it was very good, although not ooey or gooey, but I wasn’t actually expecting ooey gooeyness in a latte. I did get a deliciously caramelly latte that included two shots of espresso. Great service by a friendly barista, who made my latte extra hot, which made me very happy. The sign on one of the tip jars made me laugh: «If you fear change, leave it here. « I see that another review mentioned that Coffee People wasn’t in Terminal C as of September 22, 2013. I was there the night of September 22, 2013, and the stand is indeed there. There are two signs for Coffee People, which might be a little confusing because the stand is in the middle of the terminal, not along the walls where the signs are. The stand is a little to the right of Starbucks and has lots of seating nearby. Coffee People in Terminal C is real, and it’s pretty close to spectacular.

After you make it through security/TSA for Concourse C & D give yourself a java jolt at Coffee People. Select from coffee, specialty drinks, water and a fabulous range of sweet and savory nibbles for your flight. I’m a huge fan of their Velvet Hammer. Shot of espresso, Mexican chocolate and some spices. Go ahead make your day!

I like the other Coffee People stand over by united airlines better. I flew Alaska this time. Hey at least they offer complimentary regional pacific northwest wine and beer and there seems to be awesome legroom. Back to Coffee People. They got their shit together over there on the other side of the airport and they are on it. This one is the slower one. Tick, Tock! Get ta steppin people, we have flights and rides to catch! No time to snooze while you’re making coffee. There’s 2 people in front of me and 1 ordered tea. C’mon now. Kinda surprised cuz this end of the airport seems busier with all the food and shops. Anyhow their velvet hammer shake is still freaking awesome. Mexican mocha, so it’s strong and cinnamony. Perfection in creamy form. It’s soooooo good! Get this people. I just had to get one on my way out of PDX, also to perk me up from going on very little sleep from a 5AM flight. Since Starbucks now owns Coffee People why can’t they just rob them of their recipe and have it on the menus at Starbucks so I can get it in Chicago? Waah. Coming back to depart from PDX, I didn’t have time this time around cuz my brother was convinced it wouldn’t take that long on a sunday even if I checked in via my smart phone. LIES. Security was horrendous! Oh and that PBJ cart on 23rd was slow as hell too — bad decision on my part as a pit stop before PDX. So I didn’t have time to get some coffee people and I was devastated, still am. I bet you he’s reading this right now. I’m devastated! Look what you did, I had to call you out on a review website. That’s how good it is. So in Seattle I settled for a white chocolate mocha on ice with caramel sauce drizzle. Ugh. No where near the same! /first world problems. Don’t let the two Coffee People outposts left in the city die, Portland! Support them so I can keep visiting them and get my card punched for my free beverage.

Love this coffee stand. Conveniently located in the C Terminal, near the Southwest gates. Monkey do the VELVETHAMMER, a Mexican Mocha. When asked, they gave a whiff of the ground spices and Monkey immediately had to have it. Do drop by for some or try the Black Tiger stuff as well. Pastries, blended and espressos are also available. Buy the travel mug and get 10% off for life! Coffee People will wake you up for these early morning flights.
