I was approached at the door by «Amanda Waters» who said she was collecting funds on behalf of the soldiers serving overseas. She said her husband just got back from a tour and that this was something near and dear to her heart. She asked if I had any family in the military and we do have a daughter and son both serving. I donated $ 40 in my sons name for a care package. After she left I did a little research and discovered that this was a «For profit» company and that the amount of funds which receive soldiers in the form of care packages or other is unknown. I promptly called the number which is on their sketchy website and was told I would receive a refund 7 – 10 days via a check. Its been almost a month later and no refund has been issued. I have called the company and received their voicemail. DONTWASTEYOURTIMEORMONEY! THISCOMPANYIS A SCAM. I’m so disappointed that there are people out there collecting money for soldiers and then profiting off those wanting to help.

The person who came to my door said this is a «donation for care packages.» After I gave him cash and got his receipt, I read at the bottom that Coastal Concept Sales, LLC is a «for profit» company. Very, very deceiving.

Something isn’t adding up here. They come door to door requesting money«donations» for care packages to be sent to our armed forces(Military). They are a «For Profit» company meaning they do not have to disclose how much of your donation goes to the care packages… if any at all. It appears they have changed their company name several times trying to hide from their bad publicity. It appears they were formerly known as «Freedom United Sales LLC» and«Smartraiser, LLC». Attorney Generals from several states have issued warnings about their scams as have local law enforcement. The new name of Coastal Concept Sales, LLC is too new to reveal anything bad on a web search. However a search for the previous business names reveals all sorts of bad news. If you visit their website notice how there is no contact information other than email… not even a mailing address. The person who shows up at your door soliciting a «Donation» refers you to their website for proof of their legitimacy and also provides a phone number for customer service. The phone number provided is the same one used by «Freedom United Sales LLC» and«Smartraiser, LLC».
