I purchased a home in 2009 that needed a lot of work. The owner was disabled and it was apparent she was unable to keep the home as clean as it should have been. Because of this it was written into the terms of sale to have the home professionally cleaned. The seller used Clean-A-Maniacs for move-out cleaning services. On first appearance all seemed well with the exception of a large amount of animal fur caked onto the curtains. When I moved in I was replacing the kitchen floor and pulled out out the appliances, finding a 1 inch layer of garbage underneath. There were chicken bones, random crap and lots of dirt. It was disgusting. I would have thought professional cleaning would have entailed cleaning under appliances and vacuuming draperies. The basement was another story all together. I found lots of garbage under the stairs and the stench was overwhelming. Not sure if basement cleaning is covered under Clean-A-Maniacs move-out cleaning services or not. Either way it was gross. At first I didn’t believe that the seller had the home professionally cleaned but months later a copy of the Clean-A-Maniacs receipt was sent to me from title. I am extremely disappointed with Clean-A-Maniacs and cannot believe the seller paid over $ 800 for the services. What a scam. I am now preparing to sell my house and can tell you I will not be using Clean-A-Maniacs for any move-out cleaning services.
