I can’t believe it has taken me this long to review this most favorite event. America’s Largest Antique and Collectable Shows happen a few times a year at the Expo center. Hands down, it’s one of my most favorite things to attend in the Portland metro area. If you love Antique retro products of yesteryear you have truly hit the jackpot with this festival. There is everything from vintage bedpans to estate jewelry to booths specializing in juke boxes to lunch boxes! Fine art to folk art. Kilts to Edwardian! Collectables from Beatles, Monkees, Rolling Stones and more! Comics! Rockabilly to Steampunk collectable and wears. Antique oak china display cabinets to mid-century mod furniture to 60 – 70’s space age modern design items. Depending on if a holiday coming up you may also see antique holiday décor items. Halloween items from when halloween became popular national/international holiday. The July show expands to the parking lot. AMAZING! Even MORE square footage of antique festival to explore. It takes several days to comb through everything so make sure you clear your calendar for the weekend of the show. 1,000 booths! The huge summer show in July holds 1,400 booths(with the addition of 400 outdoor booths.) I like how the some of the attendees and vendors are now using it as a great excuse to costume up in their finest of vintage retro wear. I too use it as an excuse to wear my collection of hats from the 1950&1960’s. I know I am around a crowd of folks that will appreciate this sort of thing and know the history behind the fashion. If you love all things retro like I do, this is the grandmaster of all shows. I worked at the number #1 vintage clothing store in all of the United States for 5 years so I would like to speak from an experienced point of view. Love antiques? Bring cash and don’t miss this show!!! Love it!!!
