As being a minor I understand that other girls come in and play dress up and waste their time. Myself on the other hand needed a prom dress. They made me put a $ 150 deposit to show I could in fact pay for a dress without my parent. They said I would get that back if I didn’t buy a dress. I found two dresses that I loved, each of them being $ 380, not including the alterations and hemming needed to fit me. I will admit, they have a nice selection but it is way over priced. I’ve found the same dress online for $ 150. When I brought my mother and sister in for their ideas on the dress, I wanted to look somewhere else since that was the first place I went. I wanted to explore my options, and hopefully find something just as nice, but for a fraction of the price. The manager would not have that. She refused to give me my $ 150 back! She said since I held the dress for ONEDAY, I couldn’t have my money back even if I didn’t buy the dress(keep in mind I wasn’t informed in that when she offered to hold the dress for me). My mom was so mad. With me being out of high school and only going to this prom for my boyfriend, I would never use their shop again. She kept suggesting that my friends could use it and pay me the money back. Or I could use it sooner or later. She couldn’t wrap her mind around the fact that I would NEVER use their store again. I tried explaining it in several different ways, yet she didn’t understand that i wouldn’t need another $ 380 prom dress to just wear for the fun of it. I ended up buying it and she had the«in your face, told you so» attitude. I wanted to look else where, she just didn’t want to give me MY money back. I didn’t want to waste the money and let her keep it, so I just went ahead with the dress and got it. I do love the dress, I just wish I was given the option to look elsewhere. She just wanted my money. When I confirmed I was making the purchase with her, she couldn’t have been nicer because she knew she’d keep the deposit that she didn’t want to let go of, plus the difference of the dress. Yet When i demanded my «refundable deposit» back, she couldn’t have been more rude and bitter. I will never go here again. Unless you want to basically be forced to buy a dress there since they hold your«refundable» deposits hostage, I suggest you look elsewhere before walking in that door.

Beware of this company… They were suppose to pre order my daughters prom dress three weeks before prom. They assured her the dress would arrive before prom. We called two weeks before prom, to check on the order. We were told someone would call us back. Noone ever called to confirm or adv the dress had arrived. Monday before prom we were notified they never ordered the dress and the color was no longer available. When we came back to the dress store the Head Manager(alterations Lady) was rude and did not apologize, she treated us as if it was our fault. They then pulled a dress that was $ 150 more than our original dress and wanted us to pay more money! They have terrible customer service, are un professional and almost ruined my Daughters prom!

The prom selection is extensive here, and they pull out all the stops for some of the girls. I say some because there isn’t consistency in the customer service. The«stylist» I had, had me try on five dresses, then three more and when I said I didn’t think any of them were the dress she sort of just stared and said«I’m sorry» for many girls, the stylists brought girls dresses they thought the girl would like and ones they thought would make them look good. I thought the stylist was supposed to help me instead of just watch me try on dresses.

Christella’s is a shop where you can only shop by appointment, this is fine it just takes some planning ahead of time. We arrived for our appointment and parking was a bit of a pain, but luckily you can park over at the lot where the Hot Bikini Brew is located(awkward). Anyhow, I took my daughter in to get a dress for prom. The woman helping us with fitting was very nice and patient. The dresses were priced higher than I expected and many of them are more pageanty than school dance appropriate. However, we finally settled on a beautiful dress that was way over the budget. It is nice that they record the dress that each person from each school purchases so that you don’t end up at a dance with the same dress as another person. We were relatively pleased with everything until we were completing the purchase with the owner. We were asked if we would like to leave a TIP for the consultant. I was so caught off guard I have never been asked if I would like to tip in a situation like this. I left her a small tip, she was helpful. But isn’t that what sales commissions are for? We won’t be returning for another dress.

well, just so you know, you need an appointment to come here. they should mention that on the sign. i didn’t get to try on any dresses or give them any of my money, because they wouldn’t let me. oh well, that’s fine, i’m probably not rich or classy enough to afford anything there anyway. :)

Went prom dress shopping with the teenager cousin this afternoon and found the most beautiful dress. We actually came by earlier this week and were advised to make an appointment so that we would get the help we needed. «Your dress is in there!» said the lady, pointing to a warehouse-sized room of long, flowing, vibrantly colored gowns. Note: this is a place I would give 5 stars to for prom dresses only. If you’re looking for casual dresses, this is not your place. When we came back today, we were whirled through the warehouse with so much help and attention from the staff, tagging each dress we considered trying on. For a second we thought the dresses may be a little too prom-my. Lots of tulle and length — very formal… nothing trendy. So we weren’t sure if we would find the dress we were looking for. But when the 18 year-old cousin slipped into an empire style, full-length, turquoise-colored gown that cascaded to the floor, we were blown away. What I was more impressed with, however was how the staff handled a complaining customer. A lady and her daughter came in accusing one of the staff of lying to her regarding the material of the dress she had purchased for her daughter, which she later had altered elsewhere,(against the recommendation of the staff). The lady also said that she was lied to by a staff member regarding the material of the dress. Don’t even worry that the dress had a label inside. Instead of kissing the customer’s ass, the staff member stood by her own word and repeatedly told the customer she would still refuse to alter the dress because the dresses there are specially made the way they are for reason. The craftsmanship is excellent in these dresses and the staff here do not take shortcuts. I like that. I appreciate that. It’s rare, and it made me want to write this review after that nasty lady threatened to post something so negative about this place. You walk in, you get the most attentive team working with you to help you find and try on as many dresses as you can until you find the one. These are people who love what they do. Even the young man working there had just finished his seamstress studies. So impressive. They even pin the dresses to fit when you try them on. Excellent service, excellent product. To me, that’s not arguable.
