Chang Fa Supermarket may be small and unkempt, but it has many of the Chinese and Asian comfort foods to remind you of home and/or Asia. Along the way, save a few bucks, ignore the grime and dust, and get a live crab or two to take home. My only big disappointment with Chang Fa was the limited produce section and total lack of fresh veggies. Maybe we went on an off day. Didn’t matter because we still left with a couple bags full of Chinese comfort foods including shrimp, frozen seafood, sauces, noodles, and snacks.

I call this place«small fubonn». It carries just about everything that Fubonn does but in a smaller more manageable store and without the crazy parking lot to get in and out of. Don’t forget to stock up on sriacha sauce, sweet Asian sausages, variety of teas, and salad roll ingredients.

Be careful when shopping for meet. My wife cooks very good beef shank taiwanese marinated dish. Today we brought couple package and upon return home found they pack regular beef short pieces underneath the bigger shanks. Shame on them for trying to cheap in a neighborhood market. Never come again. !!! Fool me once.

I randomly saw this market while driving and decided to drop in. It was quite a surprise because I had never heard about this place. The prices are definitely lower than Uwajimaya and they also carry a greater selection of Taiwanese snacks. I don’t know if I’ll be coming back often though because it’s out of the way for me, but definitely if I’m in the area.

We shop here almost every week. Like the other posters have stated, the produce aisle(while less selection than the close-by Asian Supermarket Fubonn) is fresh, as well as meat and live seafood. Yes, they also sell Chinese herbal medication for a good price. Most of the stuffs are definitely cheaper than Fubonn. There are only 2 cashiers so line can get long; but the cashier is always so sweet to our son and he’s got a treat(so he insists on going to shop there with us) everytime. :)

This is a great Asian market for a quick in and out. They have private parking lot, right in front of the market. They carry everything from fresh produce, fresh /live seafood, meat, and some Chinese herbal medicines. I have to give thumb ups for fresh vegetables compare to Fubonn market even though the selection is small. Also, they carry a local fresh rice noodle. JC rice noodle shop drop off several kinds of noodle daily so they are still fresh and soft. Unlike most other market their noodles are not local, old, and refrigerated. Sometime I saw mold so who knows how long it’s been sitting in a refrigerator.

This place is awesome. The produce, meat, seafood are almost always fresh. The price is much better than even most other Asian supermarkets. Definitely choice!
