Cafe 621

This is the kiosk inside the American Bank Building downtown. It’s easy to miss if you don’t work in the building, but I invite you try it out if you haven’t. Delicious, well-​priced bento boxes and daily soup specials. Loads of sweets, sodas, and chips. The kind of place that brings a building together. Everyone I know has at one point or another ordered a sandwich last minute and had it pressed and toasted gently by the woman at the counter. She might give you unsolicited motherly advice, like «Why you no where make up today?» or «Ah, you look better in that color» — but the food will always be worth it and they even deliver through out the building.
The Café 621 Kiosk has always been there for me on a rainy day, when I forgot to pack my lunch. When I didn’t manage to make breakfast before leaving the house. When really all I want is a small diet coke. Just get there early because they close at 3pm on weekdays, and are not open on weekends.
