So my fiend and I stopped in after having a horrible meal at the RaT down the street. While walking down Broadway, we were accosted by 5 midgets dressed as the dwarf characters from Snow White. They were demanding we go with them to kiss a «princess». My friend and I after successfully«dispatching» of the dwarfs arrived at the Broadway grill, battered and bloody. Chelsea greeted us at the door with a smile and a «what happened to you guys?» We told our tale as she seated us at the bar. She was so caring and nice, even getting us ice for our bruises. She patiently served us as we calmed down from our near death experience. Chelsea deserves a raise if you ask us. This will obviously be our new hang out. There was even a red laser light emitting from some unknown source blinding us, She found it and blocked the light with her body while we ate the delicious nachos and downed our brews.

This is one of my «go to» places to just chill, eat and be around cool people… I am impressed with my last visit(1⁄31) and figured it was time to write a review… I decided to sit at the bar(I usually sit at the bar/table area adjacent to the bar)… I get a prompt greeting from the bartender along with a «I’ll be right with you» and sure enough before I knew it she came to take my order… She had great suggestions for food and the beer she suggested that went best with my food was spot on! I’m impressed someone knows her stuff so well… There’s obviously some passion she shares with her job… I hung around for about and hour and a half this Sunday afternoon… When I decided to call it good, I made sure I knew the bartenders name(just so I could include it in my review)… She graciously tells me her name is Deanne and she while getting others drinks made, smiles and tells me to have a great rest of my day… Many places I’ve been over the years have good staff… But, Deanne took the time to make me feel welcome… I will gladly keep returning because I’m made to feel at home…

My husband and I moved to the area two years ago. We love Broadway! DeAnna, Christina and Shannon are so nice; customer service is top notch. The food is good, atmosphere is fun, game is always on, and drinks are awesome. It’s worth the stop.

I’ve been here 3 times now and really enjoyed it each time. Good place to chill, have a few drinks/food while watching sport games. They also have Big Buck Hunter, basketball, pool, VP… and maybe more since I haven’t even checked out one side of the bar. It’s a pretty big space with lots of seating. Service has been fine each time. Can’t complain much about this place. An outside back area would make this place a 5-star!

I came here around 2 this last Monday, cause you know, Mondays suck. I sat at the bar and was served surprisingly quickly. I only saw the girl bartending and one other server so I figured It’d be a little longer. The girl behind the bar, Chelsea I think she said was her name, was attentive without being smothering. She didn’t smile much but she has her banter game down. She made me laugh a few times and had excellent manners. It was a good Monday. I was able to enjoy my IPA, watch some sports, and enjoy some friendly banter. I’ll definitely be coming here again!

The atmosphere was great and the food and beer were tasty! I loved the focus on local ingredients. I could see how this would be a fun place to watch sports/come with a group and play the free games. My only complaint is that our waitress was far more focused on the Trailblazers game and her friends that she was on our table, and we didn’t get great service from her. That being said, we’ll be back!

I don’t see any reason to come back here. This is my second time here. Both experiences have been unexceptional. Lunchtime, weekday so no waiting for a seat or service. Just really mediocre food and a too big menu to for them to be «really good» at any one thing.

We come here every Sunday morning to watch football. They have a lot of tvs for the Sunday Ticket, which is essential for us because we follow 2 different teams. The setup is great cause you can see a lot of tvs from pretty much any seat, a football lovers dream! Food here is always good. Since we mostly come here for football in the mornings, we usually get breakfast. All of the options are solid. Have eaten lunch/dinner here a couple times and everything has been good. And the best part of all is that they are a microbrewery! Solid beers and a good variety. They have a stout on nitro which is perfect for a morning beer. They also make their own sparkling wine which makes for a tasty mimosa. Love this place!

Chelsea during the day has a fantastic attitude and made me squirt milk out of my nose because she made me laugh so hard. The food wasn’t on par with the service though you should probably just serve peanuts instead.

I ate here recently and had an enjoyable experience. The drink specials were awesome and the Cauliflower Cheese soup is amazing. The service really stood out to me. Our waitress wasn’t overly attentive, but she was kind and incredibly polite. She had dreadlocks and I want to make sure she gets credit for just being a total rockstar. My only complaint is the crowd. Obviously this is not totally in their control, but there was a loud and menacing man screaming in the strange back room for about 30 minutes completely uninterrupted. So strange.

Good Mimosa & Bloody Mary specials on Sundays. Several tvs if you want to watch the game. Staff has always been very pleasant in my few experiences there. Good rating for drinks & service, however I’d say the food is the weakest link. I did have the happy hour burger and that was good, but some of the other options we tried were less appealing. However good spot to chill and have a few drinks with friends — lots of bar and booth seating.

Awesome beer, great grass-fed beef burgers. And TVs everywhere. Fast service by friendly staff. What more could you want? Great for hanging out as well as the families that also eat here. The staff is great especially Cassidy who has to be the finest waitress in Portland. She gives great… beer advice.

Walked in and sat at the high bar off the actual bar. Sat for 10 minutes with no service. I walked out. This was a Sunday early evening if that is any help. It wasn’t even terribly busy. A few servers walked by me with no comments, questions, or asked if I could be helped. I would have sat at the actual bar, but it was full. The rest of the place was half full. Here is a hint if you have a high bar off your actual bar assign someone to serve people. A shame because the place looked pretty nice with a various selection of beers on tap.

I can’t speak to the food, but the beer and pinball are just okay. There is one pinball machine — the newer Stern Star Trek — and it’s in pretty good condition. The code on the machine is old, so it’s not as fun as an updated machine. My beer was cold and tasted like beer. A bush caught on fire across the street while I was there, which bumps this up to 3.5 stars.

Went there for lunch with my wife. She had the Potato Bacon and Cheese soup. She said that it tasted great and ate the whole bowl. I had the Patty Melt with a pint of their Nitro Stout. I enjoyed the sandwich and the pint was very good. There are so many spots in PDX, this one being close to my home, I believe I’ll return.

**HH review only** The prices on the food menu are appealing but the taste of some of the happy hour food is nothing but. If you order a Gene’s weenie($ 2.75) it will probably rank as the worst chili dog you have ever eaten in the entire city of Portland. As soon as it was sat in front of me I knew it was the wrong decision we each had made. It didn’t taste right & the coloration was abnormal. The black beans & other meat smothered on top were bland & dry. Our server didn’t know what kind of dog it was & so she asked. It’s Franks. What’s Franks?! Evidently Gene, the person this dog is named after, has been consuming these for well over 17 years. My goodness, Gene, what happened to your tastebuds? I had a pint-sized Caesar salad which was good but the dressing was very powerful. You’ll want some mints after eating it for sure. My friend enjoyed her falafel balls with tzatziki & smoked beer sausage on a stick before we arrived so that could be a couple options if you want to stay clear of the hot dog. HH is everyday from 2−6pm &9pm-close with prices starting at $ 2. I don’t know how much the beers are or whether there were any HH prices for them but my tab was $ 10 for the hot dog, Caesar, & a pint.

Since the home brewing revolution some 30 years ago, the microbrewery pub model has become pretty ubiquitous in America. Any decent sized town in the country has a brewer who brews a variety of ales to be sold on premise, incorporated into the pub’s food recipies, and so on. And given the use of quality ingredients, the craft brew these places produce are usually pretty decent. The Broadway Grill & Brewery is an establishment in this tradition. They make a variety house beers, and they’re okay. I say«okay» because unfortuntely for Broadway Grill & Brewery, this is Portland, Oregon, and the bar is set rediculously high for craft beer. Their beer quality is definitely not competitive for this market. It’s marginally better than, say, McMennamins’ beer. All of that said, it is a nice bar and grill. It leans towards the sports bar end of the spectrum, so ball games of various kinds are always on the big screen TVs. They have a full bar, with bartenders who know how to make fairly respectable drinks. And the food is also pretty good. It’s pub grub, mind you, but well executed. They do individual pizzas, burgers, barbecue, sliders, and the like. Almost no one seems to know this, but they have breakfast on weekends. And they make this breakfast burrito, with eggs, sausage and hasbrowns rolled inside the burrito, that is amazingly good. Sidewalk seating in nice weather. Friendly wait staff. Decent prices. Pool table.
