No one’s reviewed Bogart’s? Amazing. This little gem is tucked away south of the big olé office buildings by the rose garden/lloyd center. There was one summer that I temped in one of these buildings(hellonearth) and saw this joint jumping every now and again. It wasn’t until recently when I took a wrong turn while going out for the night that I spotted it again and made a promise to end my evening there. I don’t recall too much but there was certainly a feeling of tenderness toward this place. It’s pretty smallish and faiiiirly shitty, but sometimes that’s completely appropriate, no? We had a good old chat with the bartender/owner, who was so stoked that we were there, because they usually close around 10, i think she said it’s typically just those office buildings right there that give them business after people get off work, so they’re done early. They do have karaōke one night a week though. yahoo. They do serve food, as they had this big open stove area in the middle of the room and as far as I can recall my drink was strong. It must have been. I recall passing out in my roommate’s bed listening to Sonic Youth. yikes. Anyway, if you ever find yourself working a crappy temp job in those two big twin buildings, check out Bogart’s. Otherwise, it’s probably completely unnecessary.
