I wish I could give this zero stars. I had a groupon for laser hair removal. They did a horrible job and after two sessions (of 6), I received a call saying that I couldn’t finish the remainder because «the person working with me went on maternity leave». I had a different person each time, was everyone on maternity leave? No! After never hearing back about my request for arefund, I called back. The person responding (introduced self as the Doctor) said they had to fire a lot of people and I should get a refund soon. Its now a few years later and I haven’t seen a dime! It may be new management now, but I won’t go back.

This place is horrible. Do yourself a favor and do not go here. They cancelled my services without an explanation. I had bought a living social deal for 6 laser hair remover and after only 2 sessions they called me to cancel my next appointment which would have been my 3 session and they said that they could no longer continue providing me the treatment. They say they were going to reimbursed me the rest of the unused sessions. That was several months ago and have not received any money back or the courtesy of a call explaining me what’s going on even after I have made several attempts. What a dissapointment and I will be contacting the better business bureau.

DISHONEST BUSINESS PRACTICES! I purchased a Living Social deal from them for 6 Laser hair removal treatments of a small area. I had to wait a long time for the initial appt, which is completely fine because I was expecting this as the deal was great and the response was huge. I bought the deal in October of 2010 and had my first appt in July of 2011
First appt– receptionist was very friendly and the laser tech was very professional and friendly as well. The treatment was pretty painful but I expected it after the test spot during the consultation so no big deal. I was in and out in 10 minutes.
Second appt– Super painful, but this laser tech seemed like she was being more thorough so it would be worth it. about 6 hours after I developed about 30 small burns/​blisters because the laser was too strong, and now I have scars that are still healing almost a year later.
Third appt– I rescheduled because of the residual sores from previous appt
Third appt– Laser turned down to appropriate level. Pain minimal and experience with laser tech pleasant.
A couple of days before my next appt, they called to say that there were «scheduling conflicts» and to call them back as soon as I could. I called them and they told me that they would not be able to accommodate me any longer and that they would refund the remaining amount of the living social coupon, with no other explanation other than «scheduling conflicts». I offerred to reschedule (my appointments last only about 5 – 10 minutes maximum) but they refused. I asked if I was the only person who se appts were cancelled or if all the living social deals were and she said that there were many cancellations but that she can’t go into detail. I am very displeased by their lack of professionalism. I assume that they wanted more room for customers that are paying full price so they must have cancelled the rest of the living socials appointments. They promised a service and now halfway through my treatment, they are kicking me out the door. I was actually going to get a consultation for some other treatments (for full price) after I was done with this because I liked the convenience of the location of the facility and they always seemed very friendly and professional, but after the way I’ve been treated I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Professional, friendly service. The front desk staff, the office manager who also does some of the treatments, and the owner Dr. Janice Vaughn are all exceptionally nice. They offer you water, make sure you are warm enough, and all the basic comforts plus little moments of connection that make it clear that they actually care about people… like when I was carrying my lunch with me and they offered to microwave it for me. Gosh, that’s sweet, guys.
I bought a deal for 6 Zerona treatments, for skin firming and cellulite reduction. We had to book 6+ months out until we could find a 2-​week period where they had openings that worked for me. But that’s okay, once it was set up all was smooth sailing. The treatment is a painless light therapy and takes 45 – 60 minutes. It seemed to make a bit of a difference, nothing dramatic but it seems to be a good support to diet and exercise. With more fantastic results, I would have easily given 5 stars.
Other reviewers commented that the laser treatments are exceptionally painful here. Laser hair removal machines vary quite a bit, and if pain is a concern, the ones with a cold plate are nearly painless.

Don’t go here for laser! This place has not only has horrible customer service there technicians rush the job, forcing you to purchase more treatments if you want full hair removal. I’ve been to two far better places. When I complained to management after being a perfect customer for a year, all I got was a canned — «All of our customers are a part of our family, but we can’t be flexible.» When I wanted to reschedule one appt. Ugh.

So far so good… I have had 3 of 6 laser treatments and have been very pleased with the service here. I bought a Living Social Coupon as well and found that while I had to wait a few months to get started, the staff was very willing to try to accommodate my schedule. I live in Tillamook and can only come into Portland on the weekends. When I told them this, the staff at the front desk created an appointment for me where there wasn’t supposed to be one for several different Saturdays. That’s some customer service!
I will agree that the laser treatments were very painful to begin with. The best way to describe what my «test patch» felt like was (and I actually said this after my first appointment): «It felt like a thousand bee stingers were concentrated into one small point and jammed into my skin.» The poor girl who did my first two laser treatments heard more expletives than I thought were possible at a doctor’s office. I pondered the idea of going back, but figured I had paid the money, so why not try it out? I heard from other friends who had been lasered that the first 2 laser treatments are painful, but they get better as time wears on. They were so right! My last treatment was not bad at all, and I am glad I stuck it out.
The staff is always friendly and courteous, and also fun to chat with at each visit. I have had two different laser technicians and both of them seemed knowledgeable and ready to answer all of my questions. So overall, a very good (yet painful at times) experience.

I was really disappointed with the work I had done here – I’ve had similar treatments done elsewhere and the equipment at Body Sculpt was out of date, in bad repair, and didn’t achieve nearly the results I’d gotten at the other place. They are also really hard to schedule appointments with.

I had Zerona done at BodySculptMD, and while the people working there were nice during my treatments, I saw no results. It was a huge waste of money, time and gas.

«Providence Professional Plaza» is the same as Body Sculpt MD. (Hereafter referred to as BSMD.)
BSMD is running another Living Social Deal today for 50% off ($ 600.). I wouldn’t buy this offering if it were 90% off ($ 120.00 rather than the $ 1,200.)!
After what I experienced primarily with BSMD’s office manager and secondarily with their painful lasers I will never return… for even a laser as simple as hair removal. (Though the Living Social price was awesome, the personal experience was something I would pay to avoid.)
Obviously, if hair removal is difficult here compared to other businesses, I would not trust them for something as huge as laser Zerona Body Sculpting!
I have been to a few businesses for laser treatments including IPL, hair removal and Fraxel. My most favorable experience was a Groupon (where customers are allowed to comment prior to purchasing). Groupon is how I was introduced to Bridgeport Village’s «EMERGE MEDICAL SPA». At that location I had laser treatments on entire legs and three other areas. I then went on with other treatments.
The laser used at BodySculptMD, for hair removal, is the most painful laser I’ve experienced. They are the only facility I’ve seen where the patient is given a ball to squeeze in anticipation of the upcoming event! Even at that, I may have returned… crazy but the savings… in the end weren’t worth the personnel experience.
I had to write LivingSocial three times before a refund was finally stated to be on the way (in about two weeks) and then I can only receive a credit or a check (requiring them to have my home address… to sell? I inquired but got a «form letter» response. Their way or… well I gave my address.). Gotta’ love Groupon’s customer service, allowing pre-​purchase communication and best customer support. I would have «warned» about BSMD on Living Social but was unable to do so.
I suggested Living Social have the owner of BSMD communicate with me so I could share what I experienced with the office manager and others have experienced with staff members. Nothing.
On a more positive note, one of the esthetician’s was informative and helpful. I spoke with her prior to my purchase when BSMD ran a special I missed with Groupon. She was the reason I was comfortable purchasing the laser hair removal and she preformed my first, which was also my last, laser treatment at BSMD. There are businesses that do things with customers in mind and when we find them we should «shout out».

I had done a Mobba deal for waxing and had my first one today. I thought everyone I worked with was very nice and tried to get me scheduled as soon as possible. They were very helpful for setting up the next session as well. No problems there. The only reason I didn’t give five stars was that the waxing was to my face and neck area, which I’ll admit got very red with the treatment, but I had quite a few random unplucked bits when it was all said and done. I haven’t done this before so I’m not sure if that’s common or it was just hard to see what was going on in the bright pinkness of my virgin flesh. So I do wish it had been a little more thorough, but I would still recommend them over all and I look forward to my next section!

I had a Living Social coupon for these guys, and called to get it validated. They informed me that they are now booked until DECEMBER for any weekend appointments (they can get you in during the week, but not until JULY!!) The woman (owner?) was hostile and even said that if I tried to get a refund through Living Social she’d make sure and tell them that they were happy to provide the service to me, but I just didn’t want to wait, so I shouldn’t get a refund. Whatever! I’m calling Living Social right now to get a refund — how absurd.

Like a thousand other people, I bought the living social deal for 6 sessions of laser hair removal. I called at 7:00am the morning the deal opened and got an appointment for my consult that week.
I will be honest and say that after my consult I didn’t know if I could go through with it. As a brazilian waxer for most of my adult life, the thought of not having to wax was what made me buy the deal. A laser is oh so different then wax though. The test spot they did HURT. Like hurt enough to make me walk out of there wondering if I would be back.
Jenny the laser tech reassured me though and I showed up for my first appointment today. The appointment started on time and it was much better then I thought. Not only is Jenny as quick as she can be, but they use a cooling gel and a cold air machine to help numb the pain. She also gave me a stress ball which helped as well.
I’m already seeing results literally immediately after which is exciting. The office is located in the Providence complex and is set up like a medical clinic… because it is a medical clinic. I felt like I was getting a medical treatment with a spa touch which to me is great when I’m letting someone wielding a laser near my lady bits. I still have 5 sessions to go, I’m ready for them to be done, but am glad that bodysculpt md has been so great so far.
