I came across Black Earth Services, specifically Eli Black in a Portland Craigslist Ad. He responded quickly to all my questions, and was hired to split for firewood a large fir tree that we had fallen earlier this year. The log was cut into sections and Eli split the entire tree in one day, coming back the second morning to tackle the largest pieces with a chain saw. The wood was split to our specifications and he delivered on everything he promised. Easy to get along with, fair and seemed in tune with what he was doing. We will definitely use him again, and will recommend him to our family and friends. Consumers ask for fairness, being heard and respect of their property. I felt all of those things from Eli. Good JOB!
