They have one item on the menu-and it’s good. I recommend adding an extra cracker to your bing mi. Unique and delicious(also vegetarian)! A definite food highlight from our PDX girl’s trip.

Bing mi in my mouth. I found true love in PDX. Her name is Bing; she’s from Shanghai. Not sure what it was, but I’ve heard you can never question True Love. s I think it was a scallion pancake? definitely had some black bean paste, cilantro and some crunchies in there! I ordered my XXXtra Spicy, and it didn’t dissapoint. This fucking thing was the highlight of my trip, and I can’t wait to make love to it again. Keep it up, white dudes, you guys discovered something amazing!

As with Broder’s ableskiver, Bing Mi brings us an intriguing breakfast from foreign lands. Their food cart is one of the many food carts located in a large parking lot. This restaurant made for a great review of the day when it was chosen. It was wonderful to go here. For $ 7.25, I got their signature item with meat inside and it was fantastic. After five minutes, it was ready and thus I took it to O’Bryant Square to eat. It was crispy, sweet and above all, great. The eggs, the meat, the sauce and the wonton bode well together. The portion was big and the flavor was wonderful. I want to return as soon as possible. This was that wonderful mushu pork pancake in so many Chinese restaurants on steroids. You owe it to yourself to go to Bing Mi.

Had no idea what this was but loved it. Think of a savory crêpe.

Worth trying a Chinese crêpe from this food truck if you haven’t ever had one before. It’s super crispy and savory with hints of sweet if you add hoisin sauce to it. The crêpe has egg, black bean paste, chili sauce, green onion, and cilantro inside. I added sausage to my crêpe which ended up being about $ 7 total. It’s a good serving size for lunch and easy to carry around.

One Bing please! I might have been a little reluctant because of the mi chang cooks, but they know their stuff… my Bing was amazing! I’ve never had a Bing before but the description and pictures got me hooked! It was pretty much like a chinese pancake but as a crêpe? We were sharing the Bing and they split it for us. Delish. I recommend it you eat it right away before it gets soggy.

This was my first ever bing, so I don’t know if its because I wasn’t sure of what to expect or if maybe its just not the best thing ever. I’m not sure exactly what they’re supposed to be like, but I just expected… more. Truth be told, I think it was a little on the bland side… the medium had nearly no heat and I ended up putting togarashi all over it. The filling seemed to be lacking — either there were not enough pickled veggies or crackers or SOMETHING. It was just… underwhelming. It was tasty, and I did just finish the whole damn gigantic thing, but I’d have to get some extras on it to really make it worth while. I’ll try it at least one more time, and if it doesn’t blow me away, I’ll just have to see how the real thing in China compares someday.

When I read about Chinese crepes, I was immediately intrigued. I used to get Chinese crepes for breakfast from local street vendors when I was in Shanghai years ago and was totally addicted to them. However, these were a bit thicker, the egg did not have any flavor, and the sauce combination was overpowering and just did not work for me. It could be that my taste palate was just expecting something different, but I found that though the first few bites were decent, I basically had to force myself to finish it. My friend also got his with some meat in it, but he wasn’t impressed by it either. Happy I at least got to try them though!

I don’t really have much new to add, I just wanted to add my own 5 stars for this cart! It really is my favorite breakfast/hangover food, and was literally the first cart of the pod open this morning when I was searching out a hot breakfast. The morning larks love you for this! I’m a ‘mild, hoisin yes, extra cracker’ kind of order. And I personally think the amount you get is incredible for $ 6. I can hardly finish it! Like most of my favorite carts, this focuses on doing one thing, and doing it well. And since they got their extra crêpe cooking surfaces, it doesn’t take as long to get your order when there’s a line! Hooray Bing Mi! Thanks for being awesome.

Super tasty. Not as filling as I hoped it to be, but was definitely super flavorful and unique. Creative and fun to eat!

I’m not from Portland so I was surprised to see a bunch of white dude’s cooking Chinese food! That was the night before when I had arrived. The next morning on my way out we strolled through this«pod»(a bunch of food carts situated in an area, like a street food court) and the picture of the breakfast crêpe caught my eye. I wanted to try something different so I went for it. I have to say that this was the best breakfast treat I have ever eaten! It was huge so I shared bites with my Wife, Sister, Bro-in-law, and they all agreed it was AWESOME! They started by building the base Crêpe with a blob of batter that the«white boy» expertly shoveled around the Crêpe Iron. Then an egg got cracked onto the center and after a few seconds, it was smashed down and spread out thin to keep cooking. I opted for the meat option so they sliced up some tasty, slightly sweet sausage and spread it on the top. Then some hoisin sauce, chives, chili, and a crispy wonton cracker went into the mix and the whole awesome creation was folded and wrapped for me to devour. I’ll say it again, Best breakfast treat EVER! Definitely give this one a try!

The flavors are a great mix of sweet and savory between a french and chinese fusion. I really enjoyed it especially since it is a novelty unique to Portland. However, the food carts in the area are overhelming to make any choices!

I would go back to Portland just to get this crêpe again. My mouth is watering so much just at the thought of it. The crêpe is so crispy. The egg is delicious and its was just spicy enough for me. I got mine with the plum sauce(awesome decision.)

I had heard of this cart selling chinese street food in downtown, and had gone by it last week but they had sold out, so this time i went bright and early. still a 20 min wait! Bing Mi sells just one thing and they are good at it. this is a chinese crêpe filled with egg, wonton crackers, a bean sauce and optional sausage if you want and a plum hoisin sauce. Its a really crispy crêpe and the flavors though unusual go well. and for $ 6 its a bargain for lunch!

What a wild and unique food truck experience! My wife and I stopped by the Washington/Alder food trucks the other day with some friends and Bing Mi caught our eyes. Chinese Crepes? That’s a typo, right? No? Then this must be some sort of fusion place… Fusion it is not. This truck specializes in one thing: Jian Bing. This dish is(apparently) an ancient, traditional recipe from Northern China. It includes black bean paste, chili sauce(mild to spicy), pickled vegetables, herbs, and some sort of crispy fried cracker wrapped up in an egg crêpe. This dish is the only item you can order, but it is somewhat customizable. The menu gives you the option to add extra egg or sausage if you want to meat-ify it. Personally, I’m not sure it needs much more than what the standard version comes with. Having tried it once, I’ll probably get the exact same thing again. I could see myself eating Bing Mi for breakfast or lunch. One crêpe is a great meal in itself, or share it with a friend as a side. I’ll probably be back, and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for something new and interesting.

I really wanted to give this place 4 stars but the Bing Mi initially was delicious but about 50% through just started tasting bland and ordinary. Sorry I can’t describe it… imagine yourself eating a tub of ice cream and after 30% of it, it starts not being yummy anymore. If you never had one — like me — definitely stop by. I got mine spicy!

$ 6 for, what might be, the greatest thing you ever put in your mouth. I would for sure recommend this to anyone at anytime, but I have to be honest… this is perfect hangover food. A massive crêpe/wrap, eggs, spicy, crunchy, vinegary, sweet(have to add the plum sauce), and it’s portable. Roll out of bed, make your way to Bing Mi, then stumble back to bed with the most perfect cure for your day after hunger pangs. I cannot stress this enough, the Bing Mi cart is amazing!

Think Chinese crêpe. It’s pretty much the perfect snack. Salty, sweet, eggy, with a touch of crunch all rolled into a chewy crêpe. I’m all for new Asian snack foods, so I was keen on trying this cart since its opening. The lady taking orders was super friendly. There’s pretty much only one thing to get so no ordering anxiety here. We just added sausage for $ 1 more. The normal $ 6 savory crêpe has scrambled egg, black bean paste, chili sauce(if you want it), green onion, cilantro, pickled vegetables, wonton cracker(see my menu pic). She asked if we liked a touch of sweet. I’m big on savory sweet so she added plum sauce too. A & I were splitting so she offered to have it cut in half. Perfect! Wasn’t long until we were holding the piping hot little goodies. I think others were eyeing our little concoctions as we hid from the rain & ate.
