Horrible horrible service. Went in after Saturday Market for a drink. Sat at the bar. 4 or 5 people at bar and no one else at any tables. Fixed drinks for a couple then should have been our turn. Fixed for a lady who walked in after us. Then an employee sat right next to my husband and she fixed him something. The whole time the bartender is just yacking away to the first couple. Not even an acknowledgement to us. Horrible horrible service.

I did some bar hoping with a few friends the other day and stopped here for drinks. They were pretty crappy. Not to mention the bar tender gave my friend the wrong drink. Maybe turn down your music a little when no one is in your bar, no one can hear and thing. The bartender looked so good, making lots of effort but they were straight up gross not to mention over priced.

Quaint little dive bar, conveniently located downtown. Basic bar food decent drinks. The service has been great and it’s a fabulous for larger groups.

Bartender was friendly, seemed to be enjoying her job and was, well, frankly, darn cute. My drink in the other hand, was only a meh. I ordered something fruity and the first sip was promising, a bit of tart but a few seconds later, it tasted like water. It was served in a pint glass which may have been part of it(high volume of ice to alcohol ratio?), but anyway, odd to take a bartender’s recommendation and then be disappointed. Stopped in on a Wed night and if there had not been an event that night, it would have been empty. Very large space with a video gaming area in back, lots of seating and an unusual hammered copper flooring that I am used to seeing in Wyoming on ceilings. It felt a bit sketch on a mid week night on the street, but that doesn’t bother me. Probably wouldn’t go again unless there was a specific event on hand…

I hadn’t been here in years. I’m happy to see it’s still open. Came here around 11 pm on a Thursday and it was pretty empty. Grab a cheap drink at the bar and go play some air hokey or pacman while listening to thei DJ playing throwbacks. They even have video poker in another back room if that’s more your style.

We stopped in here after the Saturday Market(its right off of it), for some lunch. The place was pretty empty, but had a nice open décor, copper floors, and a large bar to sit at. The bartender was so nice to talk to and made recommendations of beer, drinks and food. I chose the specialty cocktail of the day– the honey drop– which was fantastic. We chose to sit outside, and ordered Greek fries and a hummus platter. The hummus platter was quite large, with tons of pitas to go with their housemade hummus. For the first time ever, between two people we didn’t even finish all the pita! I’m used to it being a shortage! Ample amounts of tomato and cucumber came with it to make little pita combinations. The hummus itself had a good texture, but the taste was a little bland, in my opinion. The Greek fries were also a large portion, which huge chunks of feta, and green onions. They were hot, and tasty. I enjoyed dipping them in tzatziki sauce on the side. I realized just now I probably would’ve had an easier time if I had eaten them with a fork, but I managed! Prices were reasonable, service was good. Looks like it’d be a fun place to go at night time too-they were hosting a Greek party that night. Great experience!

The crowd this bar attracts is suspicious and frankly dangerous. I witnessed 2 different fights in my 30 minutes here. One guy, who told me he’d fight for ISIS if he didn’t have asthma, wanted to fight me but my friend prevented a third fight that would have ended nastily and in my favor.

We had 10 minutes to wait until Shanghai Tunnel opened, so four of us decided to have a quick drink in Berbati while we waited. Apparently not! There was nobody sitting at the bar, and only maybe two other people in the whole place. There were two bartenders scurrying around doing stuff, but not waiting on us. We sat at the bar for a full 10 minutes and nobody said they would be with us in a minute, or even made eye contact with us. So, the reviews say there is good bar food here, but I’ll never know because of their rudeness. I doubt I’ll go back! I mean, all they had to do was acknowledge us!

It’s no secret that I love happy hour. What’s not to love? Discounted dinner essentially, along with a drink. I don’t have to cook, and I pay about what I would if I did. No dishes either! Berbati is a great place to stop when I’m downtown. They open at 4PM. It’s not busy at that time, so I grab a seat, order the chicken gyro and a cocktail. The cocktails are poured on the stiff side so I’m good with one. The gyro is usually out within 10 minutes or so. Let’s talk about the gyro. The chicken is well seasoned then broiled. There is an ample amount. The tzatziki is garlicky, creamy and delicious. They throw in some fresh romaine, cucumbers, red onion, and tomatoes. It’s all wrapped up in a soft warm pita. It get’s a little messy toward the end, but who cares, they give you several napkins. This delicious bundle of happiness will only set you back $ 3 during happy hour. If chicken isn’t your jam, there is lamb, eggplant, or falafel too. It is a full meal for me, but you can order fries, salad, or hummus for a couple of dollars if the gyro isn’t enough. I have tried gyros other places at more than double the price and this one still has them all beat. It’s my favorite. I pay $ 6 for a cocktail AND dinner, and I’m usually out of there within an hour. Let me repeat, $ 6. Less than a drive through for a healthy sit down meal. The bartenders are chill and quick. It’s not a bad place to hang out longer if you so desire.

Berbati has excellent Greek food at unbeatable happy hour prices. The servers are always very friendly, and there are plenty of places to sit with friends or dates. For a fun bar that won’t kill your budget in Old Town, head to Berbati! P. S., be sure to check in here! We were able to take advantage of a very nice promo when we checked in.

My grad school ladies and I met up for some cheap beers and a dive-tastic evening. Berbati’s can definitely deliver on all those fronts. The place was empty for most of the Saturday night that we were there and didn’t start to fill up until 9. Around that time they turned off the TV’s and cranked up dat music, which we took as our cue to move on to bigger and better bars. Based on the number of creepy«hot teacher» comments he made, the bartender clearly has a teacher fetish. But he was very nice, not too terribly inappropriate, and made for very attentive service. We left before he could get too weird, which is where things were going. They had a decent selection on tap, with a few seasonal ales featured. Overall, a solid divey choice in Old Town.

Went with a girlfriend for Happy Hour around 6:30 or 7. I think their Happy Hour runs until 8pm, which is awesome! Because I work and have business life hours that end around 6 usually. We ordered the Gyros! They were pretty tasty and only like $ 5 for the Gyro and house fries. Vodka sour is our drink of choice, they were pretty strong and only like $ 3. Regular price is like $ 4. So, we got pretty tossed on tight budget. Living the dream.

I often stop in here when I’m in this area, usually for something else. It’s always for drinks and never the food, I can’t imagine that they would have very good food choices, but I won’t comment on that since I have never tried. The staff here is always friendly and the place is usually empty because we go here on an off time, like a Sunday during the day. yea. that’s a real popular time! I don’t know that I’ve ever been in here on a bangin weekend night. I expect that I might try that in the near future. Nice strong drinks and some great conversation, how can you go wrong?

This porter is yum! The Black Butte porter tasted like an iced coffee, very smooth and velvety. I don’t usually drink too much dark beer but it was delicious. I sounded like an idiot and asked for the Black«butt»… the bartender corrected me and said«butte(beaut). But, he was cool and got me my drank. They had music playing and an old man in a pony tail was just boogying down on the dance floor. Good place.

3.5 House music on a Sunday night… AWESOME! Otherwise it’s just another bar. Not bad, not great. If I’m out on a Sunday though, I’m there.

I really like this place. I used to come here for happy hour a lot and now that I work in the suburbs, I only come here occasionally. I love the patio seating. It is in a prime spot for people watching. My needs are simple. Get me a refreshing gin and tonic with lime and I’m content. The gyros are delicious too. Whenever I’m in the mood for a refreshing alcoholic beverage and prime outdoor seating, I think of Berbatis.

Where’s the negative for customer service when you need it? Wait… from a really good review to an awful review. That just comes to show you how customer service makes a BIG difference. Seriously mr. Bartender. Glasses and body full of tattoos. I’ll never come back, yeah. NEVER. Racist and you called the security guard on our party of 30?! It’s okay. You don’t want our money, we’ll go next door and make it rain. Bad business I’m telling you. Dear Beratis manager. Please check your staff. You lost yourself a handful of business and negative stars at your venue. You probably don’t care because I’m Asian anyways. point is, if I’m going to be treated poorly and disrespected, there’s will be no business coming from my end.
