Badger Electric

The guy came out on time and we discussed new electrical box plus a line to create an electrical box on back of house. He also recommended running the lines outside the house (as in other review) which would look atrocious. I never received the quote he promised and now can’t even get them to call me back! Glad I checked here to see that I don’t want their call back.

They came out as subcontractors for an A/​C install. They arrived early and didn’t call first. They couldn’t figure out how to get wiring from our basement to the back of the house and initially proposed running wire along the outside the whole way, which I told him was not acceptable. He spent about an hour trying to figure out how to get from the panel to the attic, whining a lot about how many window we have, like we were supposed to apologize. We insisted it was clearly doable, since we’d had the whole house rewired last year, but he couldn’t figure it out.
He ended up running an outside cable from the basement to the attic, then going through the attic, then outside the back of the house. It looks terrible and I had to listen to this guy whine about it for five hours while he did it. I would certainly never hire them directly and will complain to the HVAC company that they should fine someone else to subcontract to.

Too bad about the previous two reviews. My experience was nothing but top notch. From the bidding process, to the communication, to the follow up I have nothing but good things to say about the guys who worked on a panel upgrade on my house. They left the place cleaner than they found it, left me without power for less time than they said they would, and even helped with a couple of little odds and ends that were outside the scope of the work quoted.
I’d recommend these guys to anybody without hesitation.

BEWARE! Previous reviews are oh so accurate. This company does not have any customer service at all and it is doubtfull that the technicians are really licensed. After 3 days, 5 technicians and damage to my brand NEW home I FIRED Badger!!!
They did such a HORRIBLE job that Globe Lighting, who refered Badger and the light fixture manufacture sent out 2 master technicians to re-​do ALL of Badgers work. Badger was also removed from Globe Lightings referal list.
Todd from Badger, claims to be the owner. He was by far the WORST, least responsive and most unethical of the bunch.
They also made their BEST attempt to pad the bill and work aggresively to pressure me to pay the inflated bill

I hired Badger to redo the electrical for a significant portion of my home. 3.5 months into the project it has become clear that Badger low-​balls bids to win jobs and gouges once in the door. They are unreliable with their committment to show-​up and their customer service is amateur. Worst of all, we found them to be dishonest. No subcontractor for this job has come with the headaches that Badger has. Try Westside Electric for quality, honesty and superior service.
