Great little hole in the wall. Good food, big portions, and reasonably priced. Inside it’s pretty small with maybe a handful of tables. Staff seem friendly enough. Asada burrito is a pretty good size, but it was little bit greasy. Still really good. The asada tacos somehow weren’t as good unfortunately. The steak was drier and fattier. Even though I was the only person there, they cranked out my food surprisingly quick. Would definitely stop by again.

I moved to Portland from Southern California for work. I’ve missed the hell out of real mexican food, and this place fills that void in my heart. Antojitos Mexicanos is the closest thing I’ve found to my old stomping grounds taquria’s and the cook in the back might be the nicest guy I’ve ever met. Make sure you ask them about their salsa’s though, they have a few interesting flavors I’ve never encountered before.

By far the best Mexican joint in Parkrose and Gateway, and one of the better Mexican restaurants in all of Portland. Great street food place, good portions for the price. Friendly staff. So far deshebrada and carnitas have been phenomenal

It’s that peanut sauce! Great spot for tacos and Buritos. Went here again with my 89 year young Mom. The lovey lady at the counter was so kind and accommodating. I wish I lived closer. I feel like back in Mexico.

Authentic Mexican food. I’ve been on a hunt for MY favorite Mexican restaurant for about 6 months and after about 20 different spots I believe this is the best. Delicious tacos and burritos with quite a few house made sauces. All the employees have been friendly too.

This is by far one of the best hole in the walls that I’ve been to. The food portions are huge! There is a sassy Latina girl who works at the counter who has a very laid back attitude, the atmosphere is dim lit with wrestling on the tv and random stools to sit on. The menu is plastered on the right wall with worn pictures of the food items. If you come here at night you might question what you are doing in this neighborhood but the food IS worth it. They serve some pretty damn good Lengua tacos here. And they load them up! The beef nachoes are amazing, no no not your typical American bar food cheddar; they use Mexican cheese which even after cooling down still stretches and is just omg. The chef of this place feeds you like he feeds his kids. He didn’t speak much English but was very nice. The homemade sauces here are dank! I tried not to take too many. For less than 16 $ we got 6 tacos and nachoes. Run down: get tacos, get nachoes.

Fresh, friendly staff and cute inside. Reminds me of a true Mexican taco stand. Carnitas were excellent and the sauces were well done. Careful of the green one! I also loved the fresh bar — with sliced cucumbers, radishes and limes. Excellent choice — glad I came!

I’d give this place 5 stars for the peanut hot sauce alone but the newish cashier is so rude it makes me uncomfortable, she takes forever to turn around and just acknowledge me, when she finally does you get the impression she finds you an annoyance. She’s also extremely loud for no apparent reason. The chef is super nice and so is the new one. The previous cashiers were way nicer, the new cashier could stand to learn some basic manners. I highly recommend the fish tacos, steak tostada and steak taco salad — drenched in peanut hot sauce!

Just ok. Pros: friendly, open really early on a Saturday Cons: slow, $ 6.99 for a breakfast burrito I would probably give it another try and order lunch or dinner but not breakfast.

The food here is great! A nice little Mexican joint. They recently went under new management but kept the original cook which is great! It is a smaller place so certainly not for big groups but great for takeout or small groups. I love the food. From the tacos to the breakfast I have zero complains. They will also start being open on Sundays which is a bonus..

A small, cozy place on Sandy. If you sit outside, be prepared for loud traffic and trains. The food was good, they made me exactly what I wanted. Tacos were cheap. $ 1.25 and you got quite a bit. Our entire meal for two including drinks was only $ 13. Very reasonable. Not much to eat for vegetarians though. Service was friendly. Lots of people eating lunch there who were also friendly and shared a table with us. The peanut salsa was definitely unique and the main reason my friend goes there. I recommend trying out this place.

The combination plate(taco, tamale, enchilada) was fresh and tasted great. Our 4-year old daughter loved the taquitos, but the rice was too picante for her and my wife’s liking. I thought it was great. The homemade salsas are delicious. Mild, smoked, and peanut are the three that I tried. Mild was very tame, smoked had good flavor, and the peanut was very good and SPICY! The dishes we tried are fairly staple for a Mexican restaurant. Next time, I will venture into some of the specialty plates offered by this establishment(I noticed after ordering that tongue was a meat option). Lastly, the prices were quite reasonable and the service was very friendly which, when combined with the tasty food, is why Antojitos Mexicanos ultimately earns a 5-star rating.

Yes this place is great! I’ve gotten a vegetarian burrito on several occasions during the lunch hour. Plenty of rice(no surprise) guac, pico, beans, cheese, sour cream and delicious salsa. The rice is super fresh. They go heavy with the sour cream also! Service is super fast. I’ve also had aqua fresca here a couple times. The cantaloupe is perfect — light and sweet. I want to try their horchata as well — it looks homemade

I’ve been there a couple times, the food was good and the service was good too. The place was on the small side but that doesn’t stop me from eating there.

This is my favorite Mexican food place– anywhere. The service is fast, the cook is friendly, and it is super authentic. The salsa options are amazing– peanut salsa, a chipotle salsa, an avocado crème salsa, and a tomatillo salsa. I have not tried the one marked with a skull and crossbones. The beans are slightly smokey and delicious. The tacos are extremely light and fresh. The tamales are the best I have ever had and taste amazing with any of the salsas. The horchata is home-made and served in a nice ice filled straw cup with a lid and topped with ground cinamon. They have an assortment of fresh Mexican cookies for desert. It is a very short ride from the airport and the hotel I usually stay at and will continue to be my first stop in Portland whenever I am in town!

Ok everybody listen! Can you say This Little hole in the wall joint located on sandy blvd is the type of place that you would never expect to have such phenomenal flavored Carna Asada!!! I honestly can’t believe this only has 10 reviews because the flavor of their food will blow your mind. This is authentic cooking, you can tell and the sauces are so off the chain good it is a pallet teaser! Not to mention the prices are so affordable ! Hey they make homemade Horchat too… Plus breakfast plates for the morning to satisfy your weekend hangover … And remember Mexican is gluten free … It starts getting busy at about 11: am

I love this place. The first time we tried a selection of tacos and all were great, but now I just get the same thing every time – the pastor burrito. My favorite pastor anywhere! And their salsas are fantastic. They have this one that is orange, it’s habanero with roasted peanuts, so amazing! It’s kind of a hole in the wall but there is never a wait and the owner is really friendly. Burritos are huge. The kitchen is right there so you can see him work his magic. If they had a better sign they would probably be busier but I like it just the way it is :)
