This shop is a dream. If you are in the area, you must stop in. I found a dress designed and sewn by Amelia. It was beautiful but a tad long on me. The gal who was tending the shop recommended I leave it for Amelia to alter. I took her advice. I came back two days later and my dress was ready. It needed a slight alteration again to make the perfect fit. Amelia was on site and able to run upstairs and make the adjustment. While she worked on the first dress I found a second dress that fit perfectly. As for the prices, I think they are totally fair. These garments are being made in small batches and in the US. As an aspiring sewist, I understand the skill and time it takes to make a well fitted garments. Amelia was lovely and humble. I really enjoyed the time I spent in her shop and hope to return if I’m ever in Portland again.

I wandered into this cute little boutique after having brunch at Pine State Biscuits. I was greeted by two cute little dogs and the owner. Upon perusing the racks, to my shock and amazement, there were sizes above L. It was like I had found Nirvana — beautiful dresses by local designers that might actually fit me. I tried on several dresses and settled on two — it was very hard to choose. The dresses are pricey, but you are paying for quality. ANDTHEYHAVESOMANYSIZES. I highly recommend this place!

What a wonderful shop! I own a business near this shop on Alberta. I’ve gone into there many times since it opened, and have always been impressed by the style and quality of the dresses there. Recently I decided to treat myself to new dress after significant weight loss. I loved the options in sizes. The fit was almost perfect but I now have pretty crazy proportions and it’s hard to find a dress that fits well and is flattering. Amelia helped me find a great style that worked with my body type and was able to alter it slightly to get a perfect fit. Now it is my very favorite dress. So worth it and such a great experience. Thank you!

I recently had the opportunity to stop by Amelia’s. I was looking for a simple dress to take with me to Europe this summer. I really liked the simplicity of the clothes, that they are essentially almost one of a kind, and they are all made by independent West Coast designers. The sales person was one of the designers so it made the experience extra nice and she was so sweet and thoughtful. If you are looking for clothes that are unique, modern, and designed and made locally, this is your place. Enjoy!

I absolutely love everything about this shop. I’ve bought some wonderful gifts for my family here. I love how the inventory changes yet the aesthetic is consistently awesome and uniquely fun! The staff is very helpful. And Amelia the shop owner has a wonderful passion for beautiful dresses and fabrics; go check it out; you will not be disappointed!

This is one of my favorite stores in all of Portland! The owner is a sweetheart, the shop pup is adorable, and the selection of beautiful handmade clothes and doodads is amazing and inspiring. Also, there’s a true range of sizes, from xs to true plus sizes, and Amelia offers tailoring as well, which I’ve taken her up on. Every trip to NE Alberta requires a shop stop at Amelia!

I love this store, it is super cute, cozy, and welcoming. They carry only local and less known brands so you know your finds will be unique. And their jewelry collection is superb, I could eat it all up! Definitely worth checking out.

Love this little shop! She carries a wide range of sizes, bucking the general trend of quality clothing boutiques carrying only tiny sizes. Lots of med, large and plus sizes in dresses at Amelia. Everything seems local or near-locally made. My absolute favorite is the jewelry collection, which is a carefully curated who’s who of Portland artists. Prices run the gamut, and there is something for every budget! Plus, the owner’s little shop dog is adorable!

I am a size 16/1x so I almost never go into boutiques like this, because they rarely have anything that fits me. To my amazement they carry up to size 3x, in many of their styles. I found several dresses that I love, and will make this shop a regular stop. The customer service is also amazing, and they even offer free basic alterations.

Sheila B.(#TheGirl, @ElvisIsMyMan) happened on this Boutique while planning to go to Pine State Chicken and Biscuits. We were drawn to a beautiful green dress in the window. We were drawn inside by the fact that they had Plus Sizes. We were stunned by the variety and selection. Each item was prettier than the next. She found a beautiful black lace dress that was awesome. She is truly a vision in it. Having spent a lot of money at the dentist, it wasn’t really in the budget. I asked if they would hold it and they did! The sales staff are super friendly and personable. This is an awesome place for woman’s clothes… and that’s a dude saying that! :-) I really recommend this hip little Alberta shop that deserves a visit. Amelia’s is highly recommended#

Stunning little shop. This is what a dress shop is supposed to be like, I imagine, if there was a true definition. What I love about it, is it’s timeless elegance. Of course that dog is an angel but there’s magical little things here as well as the clothes. I can’t think of any woman I know who would be unable to find something here.

I love the selection of beauty products here at all price points. The nail polish here doesn’t have the harsh chemicals of regular nail polish and they have great bath products. Most of the clothing is too expensive for my budget but it’s quality hand made stuff. Also, Amelia has a really cute dog!

Love this pretty shop! Many of the clothes are made on prem, by local designers, and the asthetic is very classic, classy, and hip.

I’m buxom and hefty on the back side. If you read my reviews, you’ll see that shopping for me is generally not so fun because often boutique stores don’t cater to the more luscious ladies but Amelia is another gem of a store that has great options for fuller-figured women(probably the largest size they carry is 14⁄16). I’ve purchased two dresses and some jewelry here. Staff are helpful and friendly and definitely have an eye for style. The dresses they stock are beautiful, sexy and classic. If you want to treat yourself to something saucy and chic, visit this little boutique!(The rhyming is a bonus feature, was not intentional at all).

Super cute little shop with a lot of neat handmade items and a friendly shop owner. I received a dress as a gift that unfortunately didn’t fit, so I made an exchange for a really awesome fold-over zippy purse(Made by Hank) that is perfect for every day, and some natural perfume by Imaginary Authors that I was told would bring on the boys(5 stars because it actually worked!) I also bought some pretty nail polish that’s free of nasty chemicals and stays on for longer than a day. Prices are surprisingly reasonable and shopping here is always pleasant. Check it out, y’all!

This store is fabulous. Really well priced selection of handmade/regional goods, heavy on the cute day dresses and hip jewellery. My favorite dress(by Fleet) AND my favorite perfume(Imaginary Authors/Cape Hearrtbreak) are from this store. Which is a big deal, I own a lot of dresses and bottles of perfume.

I love this shop, and I don’t even wear women’s clothing! I came in on Black Friday expecting the worst, but was instead greeted by the offer of a free Mimosa. I sat on the couch, sipped my drink, and pet the ridiculously friendly shop-dog, while my lady-friend tried on a few dresses that looked great on her. I’m no expert on dresses, but they seemed to be very flattering on curvy ladies, and they are in the wearable-almost-everyday category. But the best part was the prices were so much lower than I expected for locally made clothing! She got two dresses, one by Amelia herself, which was about $ 120, and another by Fleet, which was $ 50. Amelia is even hemming the bottom of the dress(for free) so it looks even better on my girlfriend, who is only 5-foot. We’re picking the altered dress up this week, and I can tell you she is very excited. Although we didn’t pick up any jewelry on this trip, it is also surprisingly well-priced and hip(think brass triangle necklace things). There are also some nice perfumes and nail polishes, although that’s not really my thing, but we might return to get some stocking stuffers. All in all a great little boutique, and we will definitely be back!
