This place is fantastic! The customer service is stellar; I felt cared about, and even a little spoiled. Michelle was extremely warm and accommodating on the phone while setting up my appointment and very friendly and relaxed upon greeting me when I arrived. The space is clean, inviting, and smells REALLY amazing. I received an abhyanga/​swedana treatment from Julie and it was heavenly. This was my first time receiving an ayurvedic treatment, and I appreciated how she walked me through everything that would happen ahead of time. The whole treatment was extremely relaxing and delightfully indulgent! The stress melted right off of me. I will definitely be back!

I LOVED my ayurvedic massage with Julie! She has such a healing, calm energy, and really knows this modality well. It was my first abhyanga massage, and I felt so relaxed and relieved of my muscle tension. I even fell asleep! I would recommend Julie to anyone!

Received an abayanga and a shirodhara from Michelle that was AMAZING! I’ve been getting herbs from here also and every time I call it in, the ladies are pleasant and very kind and helpful. The little shop is super darling with a nice selection of local goodies. I’m in love with this place! And I think it is a gem of Portland!

Andrea is AMAZING!!! I have no words to express my gratitude for her and her help in my healing process. She is helping me heal in body, mind, and soul. I just CAN’T say enough about her. And it doesn’t matter what service you get from her (I’ve had a few different ones), it’s always been an incredible experience. It’s something that needs to be experienced; words just can’t describe it. I walk in to see her a complete mess and walk out a different person. I would highly recommend her to anyone (and I have to most of my friends). It’s rare to find someone like her and I’m sooooo grateful that I did!

I saw Andrea Schuman for an ayurvedic consultation and subsequent follow ups. She has helped me with a number of problems I have had. From herbs, cleansing, massage and ayurvedic education in general, Andrea is a wealth of information and she will work with you every step of the way in order to make sure any program you undertake is right for you. Under her guidance, my digestion, cramps and weight have improved. I plan to keep seeing her at Ahara Rasa when I become pregnant since they specialize in fertility and pregnancy. The center itself has all the herbs and spices you could imagine as well as a number of cool ayurvedic products like Ayurvedic Roast (coffee substitute). I highly recommend Andrea and Ahara Rasa!
