Enterprise Rent-A-Car

I’m a frequent renter, and for the most part the Porterville office staff treat me well and make me feel valued. Only a few times I’ve felt like they didn’t particularly care whether I came back or not. Like all places, some of the staff are better than others. As a company, I think Enterprise could do A LOT more to make me feel valued. Their rewards program is only so-​so. The cars have almost always been fine or when there has been a problem, I’ve been able to trade the car in at another Enterprise without any difficulties. I appreciate that they provide rides, and how easy it is to rent over the internet.

Recently rented a car from this location and had a very bad experience. First the car I received was not clean had cat hair all over the back seat and smelled like cat and the trunk had an odor of cat and cat urine! I had the car for about a week wasn’t very impressed with the car itself but since I only used from work to home it was not a big deal to me. On my return date I left the car clean with half a tank of gas I also accidentally forgot my prescription glasses in there. Called the very next morning to see if they had them and was told the car had already been rented and that they would give me a call back once the car was returned. Left all my info and waited for a call. Two days went by and no call so I decided to call my self and was told the car was still not returned and was scheduled to be returned that afternoon and that they would be calling me back. Next day came and still no call and I called again myself this time I was answered by an employee by the name of Elizabeth who I tried to explain the situation before she cut me off and just asked for my name and number. I was still explaining my situation to her when she said I will call you back and hung up the phone. That same afternoon I called again and was told that they would check the car and give me a call back again did not receive a call so the next day I called and and I was told that they checked the vehicle and there was nothing in there I asked if they could please call the renter after me and ask if they had seen them they said they would and would give me a call back. Two days went by and no call back so I called AGAIN and was told the previews renter stated he had not seen anything I thanked the employee and said if they come across them if they could let me know. I understand that they are responsible for items left in their rentals but the way they handled the situation was very unprofessional and upsetting. Took me several days of me calling to finally get a response from them.

Horrible experience! Had reservation booked 3 days before. When we arrived at time of pickup they stated no reservation existed. They stated confirmation number did not exist. Horrible customer service. Would not offer any solutions. I personally had to call corporate and the were able to get me a car 40 miles away! Will never rent from them again. Do not recommend them!!!

Recently rented a Toyota Carolla from this place. They gave me a very poorly washed car that had an empty tank. When I asked what else they had available I was told the only other car is due for maintainace and could not be rented.
I had to take a dirty car with no gas.
