What a all American real mom & pop burger joint! If you want a REALHAMBURGER… You hit the jackpot here! My family of five are all hooked, I’d never eat another fast food hamburger if Petes was opened 24⁄7 :) The mushroom Swiss burger is to die for, you gotta try it!!!

I bought my daughter and myself a meal here. My daughter wouldn’t eat her hamburger saying it didn’t taste good. So I tried mine. After taking off 4 huge pickles and 10 onion slices I found out that the hamburger was dry and very little beef. This place has gown down and the owner thinks his place is all that. THis meal sucked and I won’t be buying from there again.

One of my favorite all time burger dive joints. Burgers are great and they don’t break the bank. Restaurant is clean and homey, service is outstanding. Just an all around great place to come for simple menu items.

Loved this little burger joint! If you are looking for overpriced burgers and fancy décor this is not the place for you. The prices are more than reasonable, and everything tasted so good! Pete’s is worth the drive for sure.

This place is legendary. Stop by for the fried sides and delicious, classic style burgers! Our organization likes to come as a group to this eatery with extensive, interesting seating options.

Super great mom & pop burger place in Kingwood. Stopped here while visiting my sisters over the Holidays. I had the cheeseburger, my boyfriend had the two chili dog special. My cheeseburger was cooked perfectly. The buns were soft and the meat/bun ratio is perfect. The cheese was melty and gooey. The chili is tasty with a good amount of meat and spices.

Frozen everything. Patties, fries, onion rings… might as well be a concession stand.

Jalapeño cheeseburger! Wow! Been looking for a little hole in the wall that serves ‘homemade’ burgers. Very happy with this place. Juicy, handmade patty that was far from dry even though I asked for well done. Tasted like actual beef; nothing close to overly processed ‘beef’ being served from fast food joints. Bun was fresh. Soft, yet able to hold a burger and toppings. I ordered cheese, jalapeños, lettuce, and grilled onions. Came with mustard. I forgot to mention I wanted mayo, but great nonetheless. Fries were disappointing though. I like them a little fattier and mushier. These were left too long in the grease. Got a side of onion rings. They almost looked burnt, but tasted awesome. Very crisp coating with a chunky onion on the inside. I like my onion rings fat too, so these impressed me. I will definitely go back. They sell Coke in the old timey glass bottles, too!

One of my favorite home style hamburger joints. And a bonus: it is so spotless you could eat off the floor!

The service was great here. The man taking my order was nice on the phone and nice in person. Very friendly & helpful. I got the chicken strips, fried pickles, and fries. I must say I am an extreme pickle lover. And I’ve been searching around for years for a place, that serves fried pickle spears(not pickle chips) in the Houston & other various areas. however wasn’t in luck, until today. The fried pickles were crunchy & just the way I like them. The chicken strips were also crunchy and the fries tasted homemade. What I also liked about this diner was they made sure I went home with every condiment I could possibly need. They provided ketchup, salt, pepper, gravy, and ranch for my order without me having to ask. That is a BIG plus. The store is also decorated very nicely. They have lots of old fashioned décor, which was pretty cute because it reminded me of the typical 80s diner… Props to the interior designer of this restaurant ;) I will be returning to try the famous burgers sometime in the near future.

Went here tonight with the family to grab some burgers. I have to qualify this review since I don’t love burgers. I love going to dive restaurants but burgers aren’t necessarily my fave thing. I ended up ordering a BLT which was pretty good. They layered on the mayo though which I should expect looking at the place. I also tried a bite of my dad’s patty melt and it was actually really good — a few too many grilled onions for my liking but still super juicy. Please do yourself a favor and order the onion rings. They are deep fried to perfection — absolutely fabulous! I love beer battered rings as opposed to breaded and so these were definitely the right ones for me. My sister would tell you to stay away from the chicken fingers — not the best. I think here you really have to stick to burgers and patty melts. The décor is super eclectic and reminds me of an old roadhouse. You walk up to the counter and order. Once your food is ready they bring it over — takes a little while if the place is packed(which is was on a Saturday night). The tables are first come first serve so it may get a little crowded. This is definitely a greasy spoon and great place to get super juicy burgers with fried veggies, onion rings, or fries on the side. Just don’t expect anything fancy.

This place is awesome. We have lived in Kingwood for 3 years now and kept wanting to go, finally did. The locals were right. The food is amazing. The burgers are thick and juicy, the fries are crispy and tasty, but if I had any complaints it would be the breaded menu items(i.e. onion rings) are kinda greasy. It’s not a cheap place to eat though. Our tab for 3 burger combo meals was over $ 27.

I like to patronize locally owned businesses and did so today by eating at Pete’s. Friendly service, but the burger and onion rings did not impress. At all. Frozen beef patties and rings. Very underwhelming and at almost 10 dollars, too expensive. I won’t be back, sorry to say.

We been coming here for many years. Great burgers, fries and staff members. To the point good burgers, nothing fancy, the way a burger should be.

If you want a good homemade burger this is it! They have the biggest juiciest burgers way better than fast food! They can get pricey if you get all the extras like milkshakes, chili and cheese, etc. but oh it is well worth it. It is a rather small eating space but there is plenty of pictures and this to look at on the walls while waiting on your food. Cute little shop with great food. I will continue going here!

just ok. Frozen patties? I don’t know what peeps are happy here? Houston is a burger metropolis, and this place was not a contender. Sorry.

The service at this place is great, no question about it. They will greet you and you certainly feel welcome eating there but let’s be honest, the burgers and fries are average. If you want an okay burger with good service go here, but you will pay more than average burger place.

Love it. Casual country burgers. There’s a bunch of silly junk on the walls and the parking lot is full of trucks. Ask for a rare burger and get one. Fries and onion rings are excellent. I usually get the Mushroom Swiss. Buns are soft and grab all juicy burger goodness. Cooking oils can make me sick but this place just leaves me feeling full — maybe they use lard, I don’t know but they do it right. Some friends like to shout and say this place isn’t «greasy spoon» but it’s still a perfect choice for some burgers and fries.
