You should go here. We’re grateful to have found such a wonderful establishment! My son loved his halibut. I had the flat iron medium well. Both were delicious and we washed them down with a cold root beer. The staff was exceptional friendly and the patrons were happy! We waited until he crowds died down. Speedy service. Yummy!

In the middle of nowhere is this place. Omg. Took forever to get there but so worth it. My husband had the flat iron steak and it was amazing. I had prime rib and they have actual fresh horseradish! !! Let me tell you it’s always busy for a reason. The food is cheap and the old fashioneds.. well get a designated driver. Yummy! All the food is amazing and delicious! This city slicker will be back! Best tip. Come before you’re hungry. There are no reservations. It’s a hoot and watch out for deer!

Fish fry is the best I’ve had in Wisconsin. Baked fish is perfect with a great Suttle seasoning. Never overcooked and it is worth the wait. Get there before 5:30 or after 7:30 and you’ll be fine. I love Friday fish frys and have alot to compare to. The steaks are good but if you don’t want your steak soaked in butter you’ll have to request a butter free steak. The prime rib is very good and cooked perfectly every time. I haven’t found a restaurant around that has this kind of food for such a great price.

I’m no steak expert. I don’t frequent steakhouses and I rarely make them at home. So I will defer to my coworkers who proclaimed this their favorite steak in the world, and convinced 6 of us to drive over an hour(one way) just to eat here. For my tastebuds, it was a delicious steak at a very reasonable price. The steaks are unique in that they come up sizzling hot on a cast iron plate, covered in delicious herb butter and topped with your choice of mushrooms, onions, or both. I went with mushrooms, with baked potato and a side of shrimp scampi. A meal fit for kings. The butter keeps the steak melt in your mouth tender, the mushrooms just add to the flavor and tenderness, and the nuclear hot cast iron plate keeps the steak nice and warm all the way until the last bite. This was really my perfect steak, and I didn’t regret the two hours of driving for a second.

The place is kind of a bitch to find. You keep driving thinking you passed it or made a wrong turn. It is well worth the drive and the nagging of the wife. The service is phenomenal. The staff is organized and well rehearsed. No need to order an appetizer as there are endless rolls and the meal will be up quickly. The food is delicious and plentiful. This is unquestionably the best restaurant in the Portage area.

This is a must stop place if you’re in the area. Not so much for the food but just to experience this place on a Saturday night. When we went at 6:30 we were told an 1.50 hr wait. It was every bit an hour and half. It is in the middle of nowhere so we waited. I have never seen a restaurant this packed. They were 4 deep at the bar. If you ordered a drink it had to be passed back to you. Unbelievable. They line people up inside and outside. They have balls outside so you can play to pass the time while waiting. $ 2.50 for Old Fashions WOW Somehow, luckily we were able to get a seat at the bar after awhile. There is a one man guitar player who provides entertainment. He takes requests. Cheesy but fun. It wasn’t the older guy the rest of the reviewers were complaining about. Wife and I ordered the Prime Rib. Nothing special-edible but not worth remembering. Baked potato, Ehh ok, typical iceberg salad and heated roll.. As mentioned in other posts, yes we did see several employees doing shots and drinking on duty, but the bartender and waitress that served us were on their A game. We didn’t have to wait. I see how busy this place is and they have their routine down so if something changes that for them I can see them getting a attitude.

It’s a hidden gem. Down a long narrow road for a few miles off the interstate comes this great steak house. From the out side it looks like a large house with a giant parking lot and grand deck. There is a basketball court, frisbee, and other items to play with while you wait for your table. If that is not your thing, then stop by the bar(awesome prices), grab a drink and head out to the grand deck until your party is called. They have a variety menu but most come for the excellent priced drinks and awesome steaks. I have been here twice and walked away amazed. Both times we all had their steaks. They come out on a hot skillet plate with what ever sides you order. Service is outstanding and they put every effort and go the extra mile to make sure thing is better then expected. A must try !!

Came here on Sunday afternoon and before they were even open there was a line waiting to get in. Even so, our group of 9 sat down almost immediately. The food was decent. The prices were fair. The service was excellent. I will definitely be back.

Came with a group of 15 friends on a Saturday night and our group asked for 14 separate checks. I thought the waitress was going to faint. She thought then counted her tickets and carried on. Unanimously we agreeded the food and service was excellent and a good value. To get 15 people to agree on any thing is almost unheard of. Also our waitress made us all happy and content with her accuracy, her water off a duck attitude, and a sweet wink. I wish I caught her name. Tip: be prepared to wait during peak times, but there efficiency after makes up for the waiting in a tight area.

Went here for the prime rib specials only to find that it was for seniors only. And the entire restaurant was comprised of seniors taking advantage. The salad bar that comes with your entrée is excellent. However, the baked chicken dish I had was nothing special. One of my friends got the tilapia, which was apparently only one fried tilapia in the center of a large plate! The staff were friendly until I asked for an itemized receipt, in which the waitress did not hide her irritation and make a comment under her breath before writing one up. Thus, not really worth venturing here again. 2 stars solely for the salad bar feast.

If you’re in the area and looking for a fish fry it just doesn’t get any better than Cimaroli’s. All of there food is really good but the fish fry is tremendous. We’ve actually only ever gone on Friday and it is busy. Extremely busy and you will likely wait but it is worth it. Usually they have some man on a guitar to entertain you so it’s not that bad. The old fashioneds are great — brandy sweet, the only way to go. And cheap! Back to the fish. We like the perch. The sides are also a huge part of what makes the dinner so good. Baked beans = good. Cole slaw = good. Fries = good. Tartar = good. Perch = good. THECORNNUGGETSWITHHONEYBUTTER = WOW!!! The corn nuggets are great. The honey butter takes it to the next level. If you aren’t feeling fish, I’ve tried that flat iron steak they advertise and it’s great. Really good meat. If you saved room get a grasshopper because duh.

Food: I had the 10 oz flat iron steak(apparently their signature dish) with a baked potato and dinner roll. While not terrible the food could be described as average at best. While claimed it was their most flavorful steak I must confess I did not enjoy the flavor as I found it bland even with onions and mushrooms. I was forced to resort to steak sauce to improve the dish. The baked potato was good and met expectations. Unfortunately the dinner roll, while good, was nothing more than a pre-baked frozen roll heated up prior to serving. My wife had the fried shrimp and baked potato and loved the shrimp very much. Service: Our waitress was prompt and did a nice job at fulfilling all requests. Atmosphere: while the outside is quite lovely I found the interior to be rather confining and below expectations set by the exterior. It just appears to have been cheaply done somehow. Conclusion: Cimaroli’s was a pleasant if only average dining experience. I would go again with a group but never on my own.

Came in for a family dinner this evening and the table wasn’t ready so we went and sat in the bar. There was a one man band in the corner. He was shouting out insults to the customers and was acting completely inappropriate. He was calling out people individually and making fun of them. I found this behavior completely appalling. Beware if you head to the bar that you will be harassed. This music man psychopath completely ruined our evening. Don’t waste your money coming the middle of nowhere to become a punching bag for some drunk with a guitar.

WORTHTHEDRIVE! My friends and family go every time we’re in the area. It’s a local place with great food and they don’t over charge you like everyone else in the tourist areas. Go early to put your name in and hang out by the bar. Occasionally one of the owners sings and plays the keyboard which is great! I would highly suggest Cimaroli’s… I’ve been here countless time and I’ve never had a bad experience.

There flat iron steaks are great, it’s just a perfectly grilled steak covered in a delicious herb butter. Nothing to unique but a simple well executed dish. Italian potatoes are also very good

This supper club is in the middle of no where but worth the drive. They had remodeled since the last time we were here and it is very nice décor. We both had the flat iron steak and both were cooked perfectly. I had their steak and potato soup and it was fabulous! Great service from Hannah. She was attentive but not overly so. We will certainly be back(in the near future).

Good rural Wisconsin supper club food. Good food but not great food. I had a half rack of ribs. Very well done with a nice sweet BBQ sauce. The dinner came with four very small potatoes in a butter sauce. I thought $ 13 was high. Service was timely. Do not plan to talk with you dining companions. It is very had to hear in this building. Even with the room about half full the sound was overwhelming. I had been here several years ago and the sound was exactly the same.

When in Rome… We wanted a nicer dinner after a day of skiing at Cascade Mountain and found this place on Unilocal.Probably the best choice for Portage, WI. It is in the middle of nowhere, but that’s a requirement for Wisconsin supper clubs. Beyond that, this is probably the nicest supper club you’ll ever go to. Looks like it was recently remodeled(nice décor, fresh paint, etc.) and has a paved parking lot! Drinks were really cheap and the bar area was nice, though very crowded and somewhat loud. The food was good. Try the flat-iron steak, though be warned that it was a bit over-seasoned(they get a lot of mileage out of their garlic butter sauce). I asked for it medium rare and they actually cooked it medium rare(an increasingly difficult thing to find these days). And the key lime pie was surprisingly good. Steer clear of the cheese+anything soup unless you have an appointment with your cardiologist the next day. Service was decent, but nothing special. Dress code is casual; we saw the gamut from hoodie and jeans to collared shirt + sweater and slacks. If you’re looking for an authentic Wisconsin supper club, this ain’t it(you’re going to have to continue north for that). But it is a decent meal at a very fair price.
