Wow. We’ve stayed at a lot of Best Westerns and this one was the worst. We opted to hold a professional retreat at this hotel with 25+ attendees over the span of a weekend(Friday-Sunday). We rented the large meeting room on Saturday of that weekend. On Saturday we began the day in the meeting room and the heat was not working. After about an hour it became unbearable, and management did not make any attempt to resolve the issue, so we asked for permission to set up in the breakfast area, instead. This was definitely not ideal, but our only choice. The manager on duty said that they would take care of the issue overnight and we could use the room the following morning(we only needed it for a couple of hours) since«no one ever reserves this room on Sundays anyway» and for our«troubles.» After dinner on Saturday night, our group gathered in the breakfast area(as pre-discussed with management) for snacks and drinks. On Sunday, while we are eating breakfast one of the staff members approaches the organizer of the summit and says that she has set up space heaters in the room and it was«all ready» for us. Our tech person then begins setting up our projector when and irate front desk manager(LeAnne) comes in and begins screaming at him. As he’s trying to explain the situation and what we are told, LeAnne starts telling him he’s being an «a**hole» and to «get your sh** and get the f**k out» At this point several guests from the hotel as well as our organizers attempt to diffuse the situation but LeAnne continues to scream at our group and say she is going to call the police. She also began accusing our group of stealing cups and lids from the breakfast area the night before(which was absolutely not true). Keep in mind we never at ANY point used foul language or were disrespectful. She literally went from 0 to crazy in less than 60 seconds. Long story short NEVER use this hotel for any kind of professional event. Ever. It’s too bad because the location is decent and the rooms were nice. But eeek. Management has clearly never managed before.

I stayed here on 10÷31÷14 with my girlfriend and my service dog. The clerk told me upon check in that if there was any problems with the service dog we may be asked to leave. This is illegal, but I ignored it. Upon check out, they informed me of a $ 100 charge because they got an anonymous complaint that my service dog barked. I spoke to management and they informed me that they would not reverse the charge because«service dogs don’t bark» and because he barked, he was therefore not a service dog. This is in wide violation of ADA guidelines and fully illegal. There was also never a mention of a fee at check in, but was told we would be asked to leave, which we never were. Be advised that Best Western adds whatever charges they feel like to your bill with no consent or notification of said charges as well as violates federal law so that they may persecute people with disabilities.

For scandalous debauchery part 2 The room was a suite and I was very pleasantly surprised at the nice décor, the layout, the cleanliness(so sad that has to even be mentioned about a hotel stay). — 2 stars for the missing gratis breakfast and the bar of men that did quite a bit of ogling with their eyes.

Great hotel. Probably the nicest Best Western I’ve stayed at, definitely on par with a Holiday Inn Express. One gripe, the bathroom could have used better lighting. Good hot breakfast. Huge truck parking lot, and truckers get a discount. Edit: This place seems to run on Central Time, even though it’s in Indiana. Breakfast is supposed to be 6 to 9, but it didn’t start till 7 Eastern time.

Wow we never would have expected this hotel to be so nice. As we drove through the area we weren’t expecting much, but this hotel turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The staff was really nice and we enjoyed our stay. The only downfall of this place is that it’s in a very bad area. I was a little worried that our car may get broke in to so we brought our valuables inside. The parking lot was well lit though.

Nicest hotel we stayed at on our road trip. Was pleasantly surprised at how clean and upscale this place was for a best western!

Wow, I never would have expected a BW to be anything close to a lower grade– Hilton or Marriott. This one would pretty much range in the same realm of Marriott’s Courtyard or Hilton’s Doubletree. I was pleasantly surprised that this is a newer hotel built just outside of the the Indiana Dunes National Park and an hour from Chicago. Nice business center that does everything from faxing, copying, printing, and scanning. Beyond what any of the other standard fare– Holiday Inn, Ramada, Rodeway, Comfort Inn, etc. The next thing is that there is an indoor pool and game room with video games. The fitness room was nice as well and got to squeeze some exercise in. The breakfast was also really nice as well. The room is huge and it comes with a fridge and microwave– able to reheat some leftovers. The only thing lacking is restaurants which seemed to be limited to the Denny’s across the street. There were some local restaurants but don’t remember their names. I recalled my neighbor just ordering a pizza since a delivery guy showed up.
