What an amazing experience, we thoroughly enjoyed our time making each others rings and learning/chatting with Stephanie. The location couldn’t be in a better place, Pt Townsend is a great unique town with a lot to offer. The ring making session was very informative and enjoyable. Stephanie made the process very easy to understand, and what is a better way to symbolize marriage than to make each others ring by hand!

I found With These Rings when browsing wedding blogs months before our nuptials. I sent the link to Stephanie’s website to my husband, and he thought making our own wedding rings seemed like a pretty cool idea. He was pretty excited to forge his own ring. I had to tell him he wouldn’t exactly be forging his ring, and although he was slightly bummed, he was still looking forward to the process. When we went to make our wedding rings, we were extremely impressed by the location(we love Pt. Townsend), as well as the time Stephanie took to explain to us each step of the process. We learned a lot in the few hours we spent making our rings(simple gold bands), and we could not be happier with how they came out. These rings are truly more«us» than anything we could have bought in a store, and each one was made with a lot of love!

My fiancé and I wanted something a little different than a cookie cutter ring, so we figured it’d be a great experience hand making rings with With These Rings. It was even more interesting than we anticipated, and we enjoyed traveling to Port Townsend to get it done. The town is a nice escape from Seattle and opens the opportunity to make a weekend out of a visit to the peninsula and Stephanie’s studio. The process was not difficult and Stephanie was very reassuring that everything was going smoothly. We’re both very happy with the results. I would recommend it to anyone.

I just want to add to the 5-star reviews here… When we decided to make our wedding bands, we did a bit of research to see if there was anyone in the Portland area(where we live) who had this sort of business; we came across Stephanie’s lovely website, and started communicating with her. From the get-go, she was helpful, professional, and prompt in her replies. We made the trip up to Port Townsend a few weeks ago(we’d wanted to go, so it was a nice excuse to make the trip), and spent a few hours with Stephanie making our wedding bands. We had never done anything like this before, and Stephanie was the perfect combination of laid-back, supportive, and reassuring. She explained everything to us along the way, walking us through each step, watching closely when needed, while giving us room to just have fun and enjoy the process. We couldn’t be happier with our wedding bands! We’re not getting married until next year, but couldn’t wait that long to start wearing them. :-)

I cannot speak highly enough of Stephanie and With These Rings. The process is not difficult, and she was there every step of the way to make sure it was all going well. It was my favorite part of the wedding planning process. Making our rings was a special experience that we will cherish and talk about for the rest of our lives. I hear she’s moving to Port Townsend soon, and I tell you – she’s worth the trip! Plus, Port Townsend is a wonderful weekend getaway.

We made our wedding bands in May for our June 14th wedding. We arguably cut it a little close, but Stephanie was more than happy to help(and accommodate our last minute-ness), and the result is perfect. Having shopped around a little bit with a pretty specific gold band in mind, we kept finding the same pricing out of our range and the same slimy jewelry megabrands we wanted nothing to do with. It seemed like we were going to end up either settling for something generic, overpriced and unsustainable, or hit the pawn/antique market and hope for the best. I came across With These Rings in a flyer for a Vintage Wedding show in Fremont and immediately fell in love with the idea. Once I had the pricing and an idea of the process, I was sold. My husband was arguably even more excited about the whole thing than I was! Our workshop lasted around 5 hours including a lunch outing(thanks, Stephanie!). I think we were both waiting for the curtain to be pulled back to reveal that we wouldn’t actually be doing most of the ring making ourselves — but that never happened. By the end of it all, it felt like a hard day’s work. We sawed, hammered, soldered, filed, hammered some more, filed a lot more, and scrubbed eachother’s rings to perfection. Stephanie was and infinitely patient teacher, and limited her interventions to the few instances when we really needed her. We definitely came away from this experience with a newfound respect for jewelers and metalworkers alike. Most importantly, though, we came away with a set of beautiful bands that we made for each other. That’s something no retail jeweler could ever compete with.

We made our wedding rings with Stephanie at With Your Rings, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! With no jewelry-making experience, we were able to make two gold bands to our liking that look professionally made. Pricing is very reasonable(you pay material based on the size and metal-type of your ring + labor fee for the session), and Stephanie is a great teacher. You have a private consultation to discuss styles and what you want, and then you go in for a ring-making session(~6−8 hours). Stephanie is patient and friendly(and funny!), and walks you through every step. You get to to almost everything yourself and she makes sure you won’t make any irreversible mistakes. Having wedding rings that my future spouse and I have made for each other is a very special and meaningful symbol, and I cannot thank Stephanie enough for providing that opportunity to us!
