I ordered campaign hardware from the company and from the pictures on the website they were in good condition. When I got them they had dents, ridges, etc. on them. I returned them and they had the audacity to tell me that I didn’t package them well and were damaged. Misleading in quality on their website. I also postmarked within 30 days of shipping but they deducted only gave credit, not return of funds, with a 20% reduction in what I paid because of damage. It’s not damage from customer but actual poor craftsmanship/quality of product made.

DONOTORDER from this company. They sold me metal hardware with a painted finish. The fact that it was painted was not noted on the website. I would never have installed if I had known it was painted. After I installed, the paint began to chip away. This was recessed campaign hardware and trim, so it was really a pain to find a replacement hardware that would fit. They did not want to pay the return shipping or exchange the order. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, who turned out to be the owner, he told me they would not exchange for a differentnon-painted finish. I noted that I could write a bad review of my experience and he says he is threatened with that everyday. Clearly the an ongoing quality and customer service issue. There is a ton of great hardware out there, so find a better company to work with.

As one can appreciate from previous reviews, customer service is profoundly lacking here. I bought a unique lamp approximately six months ago and Have simmered over this review and the experience since. After spending $ 4000, the staff was utterly unhelpful in regards to transport, Referral to a moving company, and even had the audacity to remove all seven lightbulbs and keep them. The young lady who sold me the item seemed more interested in closing the shop and getting on with her life. While I enjoy the museum upstairs, I would not recommend purchasing from this establishment.

I don’t know how they’re still in business, but when I visited Portland someone in my life had a package from Vintage on their countertop. So, now I’m not quite as worried. The selection is fun and I enjoy browsing both levels. The museum upstairs had a story on the wall about an artist that was moving. Thanks!

Beautiful hardware and lighting for +\- 100yr old homes. Nifty museum area upstairs of Art Deco pendants and sconces. We were largely left alone to browse, but the lady at the desk greeted us with a friendly smile and offered assistance if we needed it. Made me wish I was remodeling a grand Victorian home. Some of the brass fixtures were simply stunning.

Although a lot of these great items are a little out of my price range, I love to come here when I’m in Port Townsend and fantasize about how I’d decorate my dream home. Maybe one day. :) However, if you’re not here to shop, the Art Deco Museum upstairs is a star attraction that absolutely should not be missed. The lights, the music, and the experience will whisk you back to a bygone era. Mr. Kelly’s collection of depression-era light fixtures is breathtaking. My only complaint is that the service isn’t wonderful. The same woman has been working each time I’ve come, and she isn’t very friendly. Granted, I haven’t made a purchase yet, but at the very least I would appreciate a courtesy smile and greeting. Ignoring me doesn’t fill me with great confidence to come back and shop when I have the money.

Way overpriced. I found some hinges(yes, simple desk drawer hinges – nothing too exotic) on vintagehardware.com’s website. I was a little pissed at the price($ 30) for a pair of small drawer hinges, but I was tired and just wanted to get the order placed. I added them to my shopping cart and entered my info. Later in the process I saw that the cheapest shipping option was another $ 10. So, they wanted $ 40 to ship a pair of small hinges to me! I don’t think so. I only paid $ 150 for the entire desk. I abandoned the sale. Then a couple of days later they called me using the information I had typed into their form to try to recover the sale. Get a grip, folks.

Vintage Hardware… where have you been all my life!!! If this isn’t the coolest spot on the planet, I will wear an art deco lampshade on my head. Where do I start? If you have a cool home, and need that perfect old(or restored) piece of doodah for whatever, they will have it here. They have an on site lighting museum dedicated to the Art Deco period(of which I know jack crap, but it sure was neat!) They are currently restoring lighting fixtures and also recasting, and reproducing lighting for the White House renovations. I have never seen so many beautiful chandeliers, light fixtures, weather vanes and door knockers in one place. Their antique loft is exquisite. and are you sitting? They are NOTEXPENSIVE! I am almost glad I live three hours and a ferry ride from this place… I would live in it.
