I’m sure they hear this all the time but…
Best Coffee Ever!
The staff are friendly and happy all the time.
Prices are great.
And an extra treat they offer are chocolate covered coffee beans they place on top of your cup. A nice little crunchy to go with your awesome cup of coffee.
In Washington state we have coffee stands everywhere. If your in Port Townsend I highly recommend holding out for the Mean Bean.

I miss you MEAN BEAN!!! I lived in PT for about 6 years and worked at the Hospital there prior to moving to Austin TX. I dont think I can really convey HOW GOOD Mean Bean was. The coffee is delicious, the drink selection is awesome and I’ve never had a bad experience no matter what I get. I just cannot find coffee that can compare down here in TX. I dont think they know what coffee stands are down here, it’s quite sad. I miss Jeromy’s morning Mocha’s more and more everyday… maybe he needs to franchise so I can bring the goodness to Austin! ;-)

Don’t let the name fool you, these Baristas are anything but mean.
I feel good every time I swing by Mean Bean Coffee. It’s partly from the quality of their coffee, but mostly I pick up the good vibes emanating from their baristas. Mean Bean is staffed by sweet people who make great coffee.
Located in the QFC parking lot at the top of Castle Hill, I pass their little drive-​up coffee hut any time I leave Port Townsend (by car). Their building is simple and their prices are standard.
The advantage to Mean Bean is that it’s a quick way to get your coffee fix as you head out on the road. Drive up sometime and try Mean Bean Coffee Co.
