If your looking for one the best Real beef hamburger. Fat Smitty’s is the place to stop by, with a awesome atmosphere ! Great friendly service and a supper kind heart. Oh yes what’s a great cheeseburger without a great milkshake :/)
And there’s more on the menu to choose from .
For the last 35 years they never let me down for a good stop over lunch, to or from fishing.

I’ve heard wonderful things about Fat Smitty’s and being a PT resident for over 10 years I finally tried it. Well, not exactly. I was greeted by a very large «Trump for President» sign out front, and although I don’t generally involve politics in my cheeseburger cravings, I just couldn’t. (Though the irony of a Trump sign and the interior being covered in dollar bills was not lost on me).
That being said, my boyfriend who would probably vote for a cheeseburger if that were an option, said it was delicious and once I saw the quantity of food he got, the price was great. I may have to put aside my stubborn opinions and give it a try.

This is great place! They were great burgers could of had more ff with my order. Need to work on the tarter sauce. They has variety of things on the menu. The place itself is awesome. Love décor and we had great service. Make sure you contribute to the military lunch fund. It goes to part of their meal. That alone got my 5 stars. So give it a try! It’s diner food but good diner food.

Anytime someone says generous servings I think low quality. I’ve tried this place twice cause I like good burgers. Burgers were huge with a huge price. Had an off taste to them similar to cardboard. Not going to give them a 3^rd try.

Wanted to give a good review for this place as it looked very quaint and close to where we were staying for my husband’s birthday. However when we drove up at 6 o’clock the place was dark and closed. Their hours state that they are open Wednesday till 7pm but I guess that isn’t true. Bummer. Not sure will try it again

A bit overpriced, but a fun atmosphere with all the dollar bills everywhere. A Democrat may be offended coming here because some of the décor is very Republican. I’ve only ever gotten burgers here, and I have to say they are the epitome of deliciousness. I STILL haven’t been able to finish one in one sitting! The fries are good too. Love coming here.

Fat smitty burger is it. I’ve had it several times, love the local mom and pop feel. It’s very unique and you need to treat yourself. It’s cash only which I do find odd is this day and age but it’s a minor draw back.

What a fun divey place! We popped in for their famous burger, it is quite large :) And also very good! Be sure to pin up your dollar bill on the wall/​ceiling and leave your make — they donate it to charity. Super fun stop with great service.

The restaurant is small, cluttered and the walls are adorned with fun nostalgia. The food was decent and I thought it was a great place to stop to grab a burger.

Ran into this place by accident. Lucky us! Very cool to look and read all the dollar bills. Good was awesome. Hubby and I shared the smitty burger and it was still more than enough food!

I would definitely recommend this place!
A little over priced but the sight seeing inside is worth it burger and fries pretty good… basic.

Wonderful building exterior.

Horrible Service! Four of us sat at a table set for six and we were asked to move to a four top outside. We went outside on the patio and we’re told the patio was closed, so we came back inside and sat at a table around the back by the kitchen. After the musical chairs we ordered and waited 30 minutes for average burgers and greasy fries. There were only 12 customers in the restaurant. What are the employees doing?

Probably the biggest burger ever but way too much and greasy for my taste. Overcooked fries and greasy onion rings. $ 11 for a burger. Cash only. And an insult to the President on the way out.

Very busy place on Saturday for lunch. Only cash. Big portions. Smithy burgers are huge with double patties and lots of stuff. Onion rings look good. We split the BBQ Pork special with fries and coleslaw. Very good food. Friendly but very busy staff. Good service, considering the crowd. A unique place.

You can’t get much more character than Fat Smitty’s! This place is full of kitsch, memorabilia and signature laden cash pinned to every wall and most of the ceiling.
The Fat Smitty’s burger seemed a bit overpriced, but then when they brought it to the window, we could see why it cost $ 10.50. The thing was massive! And delicious.
If you find yourself in this part of Washington State – stop here for a real treat!

Fat Smitty’s is a quirky, quick burger place in Port Townsend that’s so worth stopping by. If you are coming from Seattle, you will pass by this place on your left on the way to the Olympic National Park. Consider stopping by this place for lunch or dinner for an interesting stop! Upon entering the restaurant, you will see countless number of dollar bills hung, pinned to various places in the restaurant. It’s been part of the tradition for Fat Smitty’s for years when the restaurants are filled up with so many donation bills to take down the bills and donate those moneys to nearby non-​profits. What a great cause and an interesting concept that’s photo-​worthy and worth participating!
Their burgers are ginormous… so be ware that you might not be able to finish it. The burgers are greasy, but hey, that’s what you come to Fat Smitty’s for… so no complaints accepted! :D Do yourself plenty of exercise before or after stopping by Fat Smitty’s so you won’t regret eating the burgers there! :)

Our order, for two people was:
One cheeseburger combo with fries and coke
One Chili-​cheeseburger combo with fries and coke
Cost = $ 27.00 No refills on the drinks. Cash only.
The cost for two burger combos is over the top. We did not get the giant burgers, just the standard size. The burgers were good, we both liked them, but not for that price. Considering we spent close to thirty dollars, a refill on the coke would be appropriate.
Service was semi-​adequate, (they basically got the job done) but seemed a bit rushed. No one ever came by to ask if everything was okay or if we’d like anything else.
We waited for our bill, but we’d been forgotten, had to ask for it. We left feeling disapointed.

We passed by here on our way to Olympic National Park. It is a corky restaurant and a fun stop. I especially like the outside where they carved a hamburger out of a wooden block. The outside area is decorated like an old country restaurant that you just can’t help but take pictures by it. The inside is even more glorious since there are thousands of dollar bills sticked to the walls and ceilings. People write their names or messages on these dollar bills as little momentos to show that they were here. I liked that they donate the dollar bills to local charities when the room gets too filled with dollar bills.
The food on the other hand was kind of disappointing. I ordered a cup of clam chowder. On the top of it, they dropped a thick scoop of butter and just plopped it on top. It was both very unhealthy and unappetizing. It looked like butter dropped on top of toast. The chowder was really mush and not creamy at all. I think they put mashed potato box mix into the soup. I did not finish my chowder. Sad because I usually love love love chowder. My husband got the Smitty burger. It was okay. The burger was definitely large and you could share it with someone else. We walked out of the restaurant smelling like grease.
Overall, if you’re looking for a restaurant nearby, I’d recommend coming here. It is a great rest stop. Just don’t expect the food to be stellar.

Recommended to us from a Seattlite. Very large burgers where the fat smitty namesake burger looking like a giant McDonalds Big Mac. The burgers are ok.
Décor wise, there are thousands of dollar bills everywhere. They donate the proceeds to charities.
