Bön Appétit at Fort Worden has improved DRASTICALLY since this review in 2011. This review was true in the past, but now they have a new chef & my ratings went from a 1 star to a 5 star! The food is still a bit pricey, but the taste and variety is great! I went from skipping meals to «I can’t wait to eat and find out what’s next!» I’m a foodie and this new chef is great & cooks the food about as gourmet food as one can get at a serving line!

Bön Appetit provided the food for participants at a week long workshop at Fort Worden. We purchased the meal plan for breakfast, lunch and dinner at about $ 13 a meal. This was way, way, way overpriced! The breakfast was always scrambled eggs(ever hear of an omelet?), potatoes and maybe bacon, or sausage. One day they had waffles so hard we thought about using them to keep our classroom windows open. Sometimes they had very good biscuits. However it was extremely overpriced. Lunch and dinner always included one of the following vegetables, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower or cabbage. No corn, no carrots, no green beans, but lots of things to give you gas on a consistent basis. They reused the potatoes throughout the day and they served the same tomato salad several days in a row. My money would have better spent in Pt. Townsend and some of the fine establishments there. BTW Caesar salad dressing should never look like oatmeal.
