Came here with my parents who love this place and the owners and servers who are all very nice. The waitress came over to tell us that they will be opening for the weekend only and they may not have everything on the menu. They did have mofongo so that’s what I got, with steak and onions. I’ve never had mofongo before so I was looking forward to it. I didn’t think the dish as a whole was as special as people are always making it out to be. I always hear about how good and unique this dish is. Overall it was good the steak was cooked perfectly I just wasn’t overly impressed with mofongo as a whole. We got fried yuca as an appetizer and that was also good with a garlic sauce for dipping. Overall I wouldn’t mind coming back because it does have a home cooking feel to it. And although the chairs looked a little out of place they were very comfortable. My parents love the place so I can almost be sure they will want to go again and I won’t have a problem with that.

The food was delicious. We had the jerk chicken and the goat curry and it was delicious along with the cortadito… soooooo delicious. They are very courteous and friendly as well and a nice ambience. Definitely try them if you want some good cooking without having to cook!!! =)

This was my first time eating here so I did not know what to expect. As you drive by heading east on Port Saint Lucie Blvd torwards US1, there is a sign holder standing along the sidewalk that displays«Latin Flavor Grill». Once you drive in the plaza, the restaurant is the last business on the end. It was hard for me to tell what type of seating arrangement or atmosphere to expect going inside because the windows seemed to be tinted dark on the outside. Which makes it a cool environment in the Florida sun during lunchtime. I ordered a café con leche to start off. I am a big fan of café con leche if it is done right. So my expectations were set high but I know from past tastings many have failed. The presentation of this delicious coffee was very nice! I even uploaded a picture of it. I only had to add 2 raw brown sugars to it to get it to my liking. So this café con leche coffee ranks #2 to the café con leche I rank #1 in Tampa @ Las Americanas off of Hillsborough near the airport. Next, I ordered Ox Tails stew. Here again my expectations are pretty high when it comes something I love to eat. I have cooked this dish and I am very critical of myself when I make it. On the menu there are 2 types of this dish: Dominican & Jamaican. I am more familiar with the Southern style and Jamaican Ox Tails dishes so I wanted to try the Dominican style. The presentation of this dish was good. There was plenty of gravy for the rice and peas. But I would have preferred some better seasoning. Maybe the Dominican style Ox Tails wasn’t for me. I think I will enjoy the other foods on the menu so I will be back as this place for another round. The service was excellent and our waitress Shawna(sp) went out of her way to accomadate my table.
