The service was fast and the food was fantastic! The fresh pork rinds were awesome and still crackling when they got to the table. Much better than any chain barbeque, and easily the best barbeque in Brevard!

Excellent service, great atmosphere, fabulous ribs! It is a little home town, local place with homemade, daily smoked great food! Very close to the Kennedy Space Center, easy to get to and get back to the highway. Our waitress was super friendly and even got us a sample taste of the brisket! Four sauces on the tsble and she brought two more extra spivey ones for our more daring companions. The owner stopped and greeted each table to check on things, very nice.

Tried Kelly’s after a day at Kennedy Space Center. Glad we took the short detour. Collared greens and Baked beans were outstanding. Brisket and pulled pork also top notch. Disney families taking a day trip take heed: this place is far better than most of your dining choices at the resorts or parks. Eat here instead of making the drive back to Orlando!

Tried this place after hearing many good reviews. Upon first entering, there was no sign or hostess to designate self-seating or otherwise. After a few awkward minutes after seating myself I was greeted by a polite and attentive waitress. Tried several meats to include the brisket, pulled pork, and sliced turkey. The turkey was the best, but I have a sneaking suspicion it is just smoked deli meat, as the cuts were flawless and uniform. The pork was well smoked and flavorful, but nothing incredible. The brisket was below average, needed more flavor and was tough. For sides we ordered green beans, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, and the pineapple chili. The collard greens were average, but the green beans were soggy and had fallen apart. Macaroni was of a less-creamy variety, so take that as you will for preference. Although it was tasty and more seasoned than most, a plus for me. The pineapple chili was the standout side, if a bit hot for most palates. The garlic bread was above average and made in-house, and a good medium to eat the chili with. Overall this visit was a mixed bag. My visit was around 8pm, so maybe quality decreases as the night goes on and food runs out. Pricing was a little high for the portion size on the meat, but the sides were adequate. I was pleased with most of the items but I would choose Louis’ over Kelly’s if the choice was available. I’ll be returning to try more items during lunch hours.

Finally some great BBQ has come to town. After seeing all the good reviews, we finally went and tried this place last Friday. In order to try a lot of different things, we ordered the Feast for 4 and got a sampling of the most popular sides. We found right away that everything was hard smoked and had that wonderful aroma that left no mistake that this was barbecue.(It seems that places like Sonny’s have so little smoke flavor, it could have been cooked in your oven for all you know.) People who complain about too much smoke flavor have probably not had enough Real BBQ to know the difference anyway. That’s why there’s Sonny’s But, this was a welcome sight for us. Here are our impressions: The Ribs: They are dry-rubbed and heavily smoked. Not too much sweet or heat. Just right. A very good balance. A solid«A» on these. Good Job. The Brisket: Good smoke. Very tender. Maybe a little dry and maybe could use a little more seasoning. Overall a «B+» on this. The Chicken: Heavily smoked. Just throw the skin away. That part was way over-smoked. The rest of the meat is Juicy, moist, really good. We give a «B» on that. The Sliced Pork: Unfortunately this was the one that had the least flavor. It could have been turkey, who knows? It needed seasoning and a lot of help. A «C» on that. Sides: The Beans were absolutely Stellar! Besides the ribs, they were the star of the show. The slaw was good. It maybe could have a little more dressing but still good. The collard greens were bland and needed seasoning and the usual, bacon fat, vinegar, something, treatment. The mac-n-cheese was good too. It was better than the usual stuff found thrown together in most places. The garlic toast was also good too. All-in-all the sides had personality and originality. Good Job. Sauces: The sauces provided were interesting too. The sweet was very good and probably what most folks would expect. The mustard based sauce was the favorite and highly recommended. It was the best of the three. The third sauce the«regular» sauce got thrown out. Go with the other two. Overall we would give a thumbs-up to the entire experience. We would recommend it and will definitely will return to try some of the other sides. Enjoy.

Truly the best BBQ around. The Hopkins family is doing something right! I had the Brisket sandwich today and love every bite of it. My wife had the ribs and they were just as delicious. I highly recommend coming here if you want some southern bbq. One last thing the Brunswick Stew will make your tastebuds begging for more. Good job team don’t change a thing!!! Will be back for more.

Little on the expensive side for the portion size. But of course I am comparing to the country restaurant size portion in South Carolina.

Seriously delicious BBQ. «Authentic» is the word that comes to mind. Friendly and attentive service. We thoroughly enjoyed the pulled pork and the brisket. As for sides, the baked beans were absolutely the best I’ve ever tasted. The pineapple chili was great as well. We will definitely be back!

I was in Port St John for the first time visiting a friend. We were hungry and looking for lunch. I had no idea what was in the area so as he listed off the nearby restaurants, BBQ sounded like a good option. Looking over the menu, I appreciated that the lunch specials were available everyday and not just Mon-Fri. I ordered a ¼ rack of ribs which came with garlic bread and two sides. For my sides I had mac & cheese and fried okra. For $ 8.99 it was a large portion, however all I can say about the food is that it was just okay. The ribs were on the dry side. The sides were prepared well but needed just a bit more flavor to take it up a notch. I never had a chance to ask about the fried banana pudding so I might have to go back once more, but overall Kelly’s left me wanting to make a trip to 4 Rivers or Pig Floyd’s for actual good BBQ.

We had lunch here the other day. We did take out. My wife being from Texas loves brisket. So I got her and my daughter the brisket sandwich. I got the half chicken. They recommend the bake beans. After reading the reviews on here we were looking forward to trying this. We were disappointed. The brisket was tender just little taste. The chicken was the same. The bake beans had too much smoke flavor. Just not what we were looking for.

We bought a smoked turkey for Thanksgiving and will be back next year! Moist and just smoked enough! Never been dissatisfied with a meal. Black eyed peas are tender but not mushy. Collards never slimy but have texture and bite. Pulled pork smokey and tender!

My wife and I found this little spot on US1 and we were thoroughly impressed. Since moving to this area of Florida, we’ve been hard pressed to find rock solid bbq. I love hole in the wall type of places without the extra flair and this is what I was hoping for. It’s a very simple style, just tables and chairs, no bar or extreme decorations or theme to it. The servers were extremely pleasant and were able to answer the questions we had. There were a few sauces to chose from and all were very tasty. Their prices are phenominal in regards to both quality and sheer quantity of food! I have a 2 meat combo with chicken and brisket. The food came very quickly and it was oohhh so delicious! We will be back very soon, and multiple times.

Cute country décor. Great service. Meats need a little work. All of the sauces are good. My chili was too spicy for me. My waitress replaced it for me, with no problem. The sides are very good. My husband raved about the mac n cheese and fried okra.

We went again this past Saturday night with a group of 8. I have to give credit where credit is due — it was simply outstanding. Had the pulled pork sandwich on garlic bread with fries & baked beans. Very generous amount of pork, fries & beans. Simply wonderful sandwich, very flavorful and smokey. My wife wasn’t too hungry & got a salad. THAT was served in i huge fried tortilla bowl. She commented to the server that the ranch dressing was the best she’s ever tasted — our server then mentioned that she makes it herself right there. Impressive to say the least. One other thing worth mentioning: I sampled three of the bbq sauces and they were simply killer. Don’t know if those are homemade too but, wow! After this, we’ll definitely be back. BTW, the service was outstanding too.

As a Texan, I tend to be a real barbecue snob. But I was very favorably impressed by Kelly’s. All of the sides were excellent – especially the mac & cheese. The brisket was pretty good, even if it lacked the smoky bark that I like. The ribs were particularly good. But I was mystified by the absence of sausage on the menu. All in all, a very nice barbecue joint. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in town.

Was traveling to area & visiting Kennedy Space Center, so when we were done we were hungry for some bbq. This place was easy to find, the interior sparse but good. We were instantly greeted and sat down. The menu is classic bbq with pulled pork, sliced pork, sliced beef, sliced brisket, bbq chicken, baby back ribs, everything you would want. Plus a large choice of sides. We chose 2 meats and 2 sides, and ended up with a nice serving of classic bbq, but the pulled pork is the best choice. There are 3 sauces to add more flavor. We also enjoyed the baked beans, mac & cheese, french fries, and coke slaw. The service was good, we were frequently checked on and drinks kept full. Overall Kelly’s is a good BBQ place for all. So if you’re from out of town, stop by, you will be satisfied.

What can I say about Kelly’s Smokin BBQ you ask? Well alot of good things. First of all its a casual spot. So come as you are, take a seat, relax. My server Tina was very friendly and quickly brought me a drink. I ordered the two meats combo with mac n cheese and cole slaw. In the meantime my drink was refilled without lifting a finger. Impressive! About 25 minutes later my plate was delivered. I am happy to report this place is a hit. The smokey brisket and pork was very tadty and their three homemade sauces complimented them exceptionally well. None overpowering the meat and it was hard to determine which I preferred. In the end, the mustard base was my favorite. The sides too were very tasty. The mac n cheese was hot, cheesy, and creamy. The cole slaw was sweet with a touch of tang and oh so fresh. The garlic toast too was perfectly toasted and tasty. Everything on my plate was very satisfying, a rarity to be honest. The only thing I would hope to see on the menu that wasn’t there is smoked sausage. To me its a must at any great BBQ place. Keep it up Kelly’s, tastin good!
