Julea’s Progressive Salon

The services I have had here have been fine, but the environment needs some work! It just doesn’t feel like a relaxing, upscale saon/​spa. The building is old and I remember being upstairs in one of the massage/​waxing rooms and it was freezing! I just feel ilke they need to work on the environment.
I also think alot of the staff lacks professionalism. I got a mani/​pedi and my nails looked good, but I do feel like the staff could have been much more professional. Also, the parafin wax they put my feet in was way too hot! They warned me that it would hurt but I don’t think it should have been that hot. I seriously thought my skin was burning. It kind of ruined the calm/​relaxing experience.

I went to this spa with a friend. It had great advertising so we thought we were in for a special ‘treat” wrong! A big «olé» cat stays at the spa and sleeps on the spa chairs that we sat on for our mani/pedi’s so when we got up to leave our black pants had cat hair all over them. Plus my friend is allergic to cats so she sneezed and coughed and had to use her inhaler on the way home. Bad experience for her. Otherwise the mani/​pedis were fine. Agree about the ambience.
