Excellent food, service and overall experience. We were seated quickly and our waitress was quick to get drinks out. The manager came over and welcomed us. The food came out quick and every request was taken care of. Our expectation were greatly exceeded. Thanks Fidel for a great experience! Best Mexican food in Port Neches!!!

So first of all I moved here from Alabama where the mexican restaurant food is amazing. They serve white queso cheese dip which apparently they don’t do at any other mexican places in Texas which is depressing. I’ve been to about 4 different mexican places out here. LA Cantina, Casa Olé, Rancho Grande, and Tequilas. All of which tasted exactly the same. Dull out of the jar orange cheese dip, watered down margheritas, flavorless nachos, enchiladas, beef tacos, ect. The service always sucked at those places as well. It takes FOREVER to pay out, refills come after you’re basically dehydrated, and you rarely see your server. Needless to say, I haven’t enjoyed Mexican since I moved here. So when this place was built I was skeptical. We live down the street and my husband convinced me we should try one more mexican restaurant out. We get there and we’re greeted promptly at the door with smiles, and sat. The booths scootch around a bit, but they are very cushiony and comfortable. Our server was with us very shortly after we were sat. She took our drink order and brought them back in a timely fashion. One of them being from the bar. My margherita was flavorful and strong, GREATSTART. The salsa was delicious, perfect spice and served warm. We ordered the cheese dip which took a little while to get to us but was WAY worth the wait. Instead of the in the jar warmed up cheese I’ve experienced at all the other restaurants around here we get what seems like homeade orange cheese with actual spices chopped up within A+++! My husband ordered the enchilada rancheros and I got the chicken quesadillas. Sooooo delicious, flavorful, and fresh. Not a trace of bland! Our server was also awesome. We never had to ask for ANYTHING she refilled our chips and drinks by eye which is how a server is suppose to be. She brought our check in a timely fashion and checked us out as soon as we put the card in the book. I forget her name but she has purplish hair. So ask for her. I don’t know what’s up with all these other bad reviews, but apparently you like modified mexican and should stick with the restaurants I mentioned above. This real mexican. Not mexican that caters to the deep fried bacon wrapped shrimp, and jar cheese dip lovers. The ONLYTHING I would suggest is an al la carte menu.

Food was bland and wasn’t fresh. The chips were stale and the hot sauce was very runny. The prices were high for the quality of food. I didn’t finish my dinner. Will try them in 6 months when they get all the kinks worked out.

Very poor service. …they don’t care… owners and managers drink behind bar… I saw it. And no full bar for real… they won’t make it in port niches treating other races besides their own. Never and its gross… girl shot up in bathroom… wow.

My wife and I have been a few times. We have always had good service and have enjoyed the food. We order a different dish each time so we get a full range of their menu. The personnel are very attentive and management also. The A/C could use some work, but we enjoy this place so much!

We went for the first time a few days avo. It was during down time and shift change. Everyone was very attentive including the manager. The iced tea was good, chips and salsa was excellent. I ordered the stuffed avacado with queso instead of sauce on my enchilada and it was wonderful. The best food i have had in a very long time. I believe they have worked out the kinks and will be around a long time. I can’t wait to go again!

Fajitas for two were dry and didn’t come out sizzling. They were overpriced for the portiin size. The atmosphere was nice. The only reason I would go back is to have chips and salsa, and a few beers at the tiny bar. Boo. LA Cantina fajitas are WAAAAAY better and they’re the same price!

The food was very plain. Dry even. The server was coughing while carrying food. The fact that the AC was hardly effective wouldn’t be a problem if it weren’t causing the place to smell bad. I would have given it one star, but they were very attentive.

Opening week kilter? A/C was barely working, warm beer, typical chips and salsa. Can’t comment on the food; despite being one of a handful of tables we waited an inordinate amount of time for food that didn’t arrive before we left. Based on the menu I don’t see any reason to return as it’s basically more of the same as the twelve other Tex-Mex places within a few miles drive.

Grand Opening today. It was busy but worth the wait! Salsa is served warm and very flavorful! Husband had the Carne Guisada which was excellent and the taquitos are good too. We definitely will return
