Served. Me. A.(GREYGOOSE)Cosmo. In. A. Plastic. Cup. I am insulted, quite frankly. My family’s food has yet to come in 2 hours and quite frankly, I’d rather be home at this point. I’ve lost my appetite quite frankly. So quite franklin, franklin. P. s. — Scallops were asked to be cooked well done. When we first received them 2 hours after ordering, the 4 scallops came raw. Quite frankly, I had to send it back to cook more. They quite frankly came back with 1 scallop missing and also franklin, tasted straight from the refrigerator. Horrible taste. And quite franklin, I asked to get these pieces of garbage out of my face and I ended my dinner right there, eating only a half of a fridge scallop. Quite frankly, will not come back here ever again and quite franklin, franklin was a great turtle in the cartoon series. I give the restaurant a 1⁄5 and the franklin from the cartoon a 4.7÷5, great actor.

This was our first time back to The Wave since last fall. Overall, the food was OK(with. some exceptions) and the service was so-so. It was a quiet weekday and we came for early lunch. Initially, there was only one other group of diners seated. We got our drinks and our orders taken fairly quickly. One thing we noted immediately was how cold it was in the dining room(this was in mid-June). Luckily my wife had a sweater with her. I had to run out to the car for a jacket, while we waited for our order(it was a little slow). They gave us a couple of small rolls with pre-packaged butter, while we waited for our food. In the past, they had served an herbed butter with a roll assortment. It was a minor dissapointment. My wife got the Turkey Panini and I had the hamburger. Previously, the turkey sandwich came on a pretzel roll, but now it was a conventional panini roll. Still, it was pretty good and came with a very tasty sauce. Both orders came with home made waffle chips(previosly they came with fries). The chips were pretty good, but a fair number of them were undercooked and flabby — another disappointment. Also, my burger was tasty, but a bit undercooked(I ordered medium and it came out medium-rare to rare). Our waitress was reasonably attentive at first, but later on she seemed to spend more time gabbing with her friends than keeping an eye on her tables. So it took us a little while to get hold of her when needed. Still, we’ll consider coming back to The Wave again, for the view of Pt Jefferson Harbor and a leisurely meal.

Date night with my wife brought us to Wave. We had a great seat out side and right next to the water. Edward was our winter and took care of everything. Try the Turkey panini! Great sand which. My wife had r other salmon burger. Even better. No rush atmosphere and good food makes for a great evening. Thank you.

My date night here was simply perfection. We came here on a Saturday night say by the water outside. We got a gorgeous table right by the edge of the water overlooking the docks and boats. The set up makes for a great atmosphere. Nice tables with umbrellas and plants all around the perimeter making a natural fencing from the outside. The menu was phenomenal and I had a difficult time choosing but I went with a fish plate and my other half ordered a steak. We were offered bread to start with and normally I don’t touch the bread at any place I go to eat because it’s just not my thing but I couldn’t keep my hands off it! The butter that they served with it was churned with water chestnuts and sundries tomatoes. Holy hell it was amazing!!! When we got our dishes it was even better than expected. Mine came with 2 lobster ravioli sand my seared fish(I think it was tuna, I just don’t remeber) over it. The ravioli was almost just straight lobster. It was just so so good. My boyfriends steak came with a side of Potatos but I’ve never seen or tasted how these Potatos were cooked. At first we didn’t even know what it was until we tasted it. It had a garlic, sweet butter and herb taste to it. I don’t know how they do it but I was blown away by everything. Can’t wait to come back here again for another date night!

Great location. The view of the sunset over the harbor was beautiful. It was lovely to look at as we waited over 40 minutes for our appetizers to be served. The waitress was apologetic, says they had a rush and were a little behind. Offered us a refill on the bread basket. We were never given plates to eat the shared appetizers and decided not to ask because we were afraid it would take another half hour. The roasted artichoke was very tasty, but a very small portion that was not worth the $ 11. Baked clams and calamari were also good. For dinner, Linguini and clams were just ok. My friend enjoyed the shrimp and lobster roll but tried to order a side of French fries, but they were out of them. The other 2 in our party had fish and chips that were enjoyed. I would go back and maybe try to eat outside.

This is a prime spot on the waterfront in the harbor for parties, weddings and a big deck when weather is favorable. Inn and restaurant occupy a good slice of harbor front. On the plus side, there is an attached pay parking lot — 50cents per hour, which is a bargain compared to the $ 20 for the municipal lot near the ferry! Inside is still nice, with great window views and comfy seating in the lobby while you wait for a table. Choices on this Sunday are full menu at the 12 seat bar, or two seatings at 12 and 2 for brunch — and we missed the bar seats. Brunch was very good — a wide range of choices from pork tenderloin and fresh carved roast beef to salads and more traditional breakfast foods. Plenty of dessert and sweets too if you want them. Service was very attentive and prompt. Brunch comes with unlimited bloody mary champagne or mimosa. If you can find a place to put your car, this is a fine place to put yourself.

The food is terrible and over priced! The second star is for the porch outside to have drinks. The service is so slow. Expensive martini in a plastic cup! So ridiculous!

Disclaimer: I’ve only been here for drinks in the cooler weather and mothers day brunch. Never properly ate at the restaurant. With that being said… Never any problems with the bar. Wave is a little quiet during the cooler months and attracts an older crowd. It’s a toned down spot to just hang out with a cocktail. Mother’s Day brunch(Tip: Reserve EARLY), was served buffet style. All of the hot items that I tried were delicious. In addition to the normal breakfast items, they had lobster ravioli, mussels fra diablo and pasta. Most of the other patrons wandered over to the eggs, waffles and warm things while I whisked away the seafood at the cold table first. Their loss! The clams were fresh, fresh, fresh! They had a giant iced seafood display with clams, lox, shrimp etc. It was among the collection of savory cold foods. They also had salads with beets, orzo, feta, etc. The asparagus looked tasty but my plate was full by the time I made it over there. There was enough variety to please even the pickiest of eaters. Most of the desserts and breads looked to be made out of house, from commercial bakeries with the an exception for crème brûlée. The staff was wonderfully welcoming and accommodating. Although it got a little crowded over by the food area, the staff handled it with ease, and refilled certain hot items when they were running low. Outside of the restaurant, the men working the docks gave us an entertaining show to watch as we were enjoying our brunch. My only real complaint is the price. Including tip, Mother’s day brunch for 3 was about $ 200SANS libations. It was a special day for mom, and I was aware of the damage beforehand but I was secretly hoping they’d come around the tables with little mimosas or something of that sort. Since it was a snotty, brisk morning, mom really enjoyed sitting by the ornate fireplace in the lounge on the way out. It’s the little things, I guess…

Experience was ok. Not great not bad just ok. Went there for mother’s day brunch and the food was a plenty. Yet it was cold so that was a disappointment. The waitstaff was nice and attentive. Yet the folks behind the buffet counters looked as if they did not want to be there. All in all it as an ok experience. There is way too much competition in Port Jeff for me to return though.

First and last time here. We walked into a completely empty place, which I guess should have been the first warning, but hey you never know. Of the four people working we could see, nobody greeted us or asked if we would like a table. We had to go looking for someone to ask if we could eat dinner. Not a huge deal, but shows the lack of attention to customer service that we experienced the rest of the night. We ordered fish and chips, sea bass, and a cocktail. I must say the cocktail was pretty good, and while the fish and chips weren’t bad, I certainly wouldn’t order them again. Regarding the sea bass… at $ 34 I was very surprised by the tiny portion I received. It smelled a bit strange, but not bad. When I went to cut it I found out why — it was completely rare and uncooked in the center. The waitress did say she was sorry for that, however no manager came over to apologize or at least offer to comp the single cocktail we ordered. We just had them take the dish away, but were surprised when the check came to us with incorrect charges on it(keep in mind we are the only people in the place eating), which we had to point out to get fixed. I will say the view of the marina and ferry was nice from the dining room, and the cocktail was good, which is where the stars come from. If you’re going for drinks, it might not be a bad choice, but I’d rather go to a place with great drinks, great service, and great food — all of which can be found in the area. I hope someone steps up and makes this place great, as the potential is there in the location.

This was my first experience dining there and from the beginning, it was a wonderful place… Great views and a friendly staff. We tried many dishes/drinks including the scallops, baked clams, lobster as well as the crème brûlée and PB& J cheesecake… All of which were fabulous… Reza was our waitress and she was professional, friendly, and really took excellent care of us… I will definitely return to this place…

Visit Date: December 6, 2015 I visited the Port Jefferson Dicken’s Festival with my husband, MIL, BIL and his fiancée. He convinced us to eat at Wave Seafood Kitchen and at first I wasn’t thrilled about the suggestion because I’m a vegetarian and thought there wouldn’t be much I could eat but this place surprised me. We had to wait about a half hour to be seated and I was starving so I didn’t appreciate the wait time but the meal made up for it. The bread we were given to start the meal was fantastic and the butter they provided for us was a mixture of butter, sun dried tomatoes and spices. I definitely enjoyed the unusual butter. I split the burrata appetizer with my husband, MIL and BIL. When I first heard about burrata I thought it was over the top but I wanted to try it anyway. I was surprised it was served cold(I expected it to be served warm) but it was still delicious anyhow. The small salad served with it complemented the burrata very well. For dinner I had the winter vegetable risotto. I loved it. Even though it was winter vegetables I felt like I was eating autumn in a bowl. The vegetables and risotto as well as the spices they used in the dish blended together perfectly. For dessert I had the Vol au vent. It was incredible. They served me chocolate fondue inside of a puff pastry along with fruits and some mini brownies to dip inside of the chocolate fondue. I loved every single bite of this dessert. The pike place coffee they served from Starbucks was brewed to perfection. As a vegetarian(aka carbatarian aka junkatarian) I left this lovely establishment well filled and dinner at this restaurant is well worth it!

I had a company holiday party upstairs and had a great time. Great, friendly, fun to talk to bar tender. Fantastic little appetizers. Brunch was good as well. Nice location, usually friendly staff. the downstairs bar, just as great, they serve a malbec by Alamos for 30 bucks or so, the bottle cost 10… not a surprise, all wine is sold at bars for a 400% mark up– yer screwed no matter where you go. the entire staff has drama and affairs with each other from what I hear… so that’s fun, just try to pry it out of them… all stoners too. FYI. don’t ask how I know. eh that’s neither here nor there. catch the wave! check out some good grub. no one makes a better bloody Mary than myself, but theirs is pretty damn close, grab this and a seat out on th deck. that where you want to be in Port Jeff, a great view and a breeze off the sound.

This place deserves a 5 stars!!! It has great service, relaxing atmosphere, beautiful food and delicious food. Food: Raw oysters — had better. Would not order again Bake clams — it was ok Shrimp lobster roll — awesome Maine lobster — cooked perfectly We came on Labor Day weekend. The marina had live music throughout the day which is a great addition to the atmosphere. You can hear it at the restaurant while eating. Coming to this place definitely completed my trip to port Jefferson.

We have been to this dockside resort venue a few times, and the latest visit was on a hot, rainy Saturday afternoon, with multiple weddings going on, so the lot was full. We used the valet parking, which wasn’t bad. For a busy day, the service was good, too. I had the Roasted Turkey and Bacon Pretzel Pannini, which was a mouthful in more ways than one. It was a big hit, with melted munster cheese too, and the side of fries was crisp and golden. The avocado aoli… I couldn’t stop eating it. I’d happily order this again. Not so for my companion’s WAVE Salmon Burger, which was a little fishy, and when I sampled the Wakame Salad… if I could have spit it out, I would have. Like swallowing a mouthful of worms. I’ve also had their Seafood Cobb Salad, which is enormous, dotted with salmon, shrimp, scallop, and avocado. The Fish and Chips don’t really come with chips, but ‘potato twists,’ and despite that shortcoming, they are better and less greasy than those at The Lobster Roll. You can’t beat the view of Port Jefferson Harbor, but they really crank up the air conditioning. Bring a jacket or sweater!

Not the most impressive seafood restaurant you can go to, but good service and nice food. Limited menu choices, average tasting food, it’s not hard core delicious but it’s nice. The staff are friendly and attentive, the view is nice as well, right on the port. I’ve had the broth muscles and pita trio, which were more than enough for someone who isn’t very hungry.

This was my first time on Port Jefferson Main Street and wow I was taken back! First, parking wasn’t too bad but it was a Tuesday and I hear that in the summer its just flat out annoying so be weary of that. The Wave is part of the joining Danfords Hotel & Marina and located right next to the ferry. This review is only based on my experience outside on their deck which overlooks the harbor. Beautiful view, sunset was great and not too much high tide smell. Four of us were seated promptly and it was pretty empty but again Tuesday for dinner. Three part review;drinks, food and staff– Drinks that were ordered at our table; Blackberry Sangria(easily the best drink of the night!), Phoenix Daiquiri(martini glass served and light and refreshingly strong), Safe and Sound(also know as Bonbay’s Sapphire Gin, hint of spice with the black pepper and floral from the elderflower liquor), Real Mccoy(nothing too special), Mango Jalapeño Margarita(spicy and mango flavored for sure, don’t eat the garnished pepper) and a close second to the sangria the Sparkling French Pear which I could have a pitcher of in the summer months. Food that I personally ate– split the raw oysters which were very fresh, they were out of little necks. Tried some of the pita trio and was blown away! The three dips were amazing, pita salty and tasty homemade and a large portion. Someone else ordered the baked clams and finished them in about 2 minutes. Entrees– the Salmon was perfectly cooked and seasoned well. I had the seafood Cobb salad and totally worth the price! Had leftovers to take home because it was such a large portion. I suggest the salad if your in the mood for fresh seafood, avocado and of coarse… bacon. At the table, lobster roll which was super tasty according to my friend just a small portion for the price, served with a tiny salad. Also ordered at the table was the fish and chips based on the server’s suggestion. The chips are a cross between potato tweels and the best french fry you have ever had. The sauce served with it was great but we asked for tarter sauce, twice and they just brought out more of the mayo. Staff-looked under staffed and we waited long to order our drinks and food. Food took a while to come out but apps and entrees were spaced out well and food made up for the wait. Our waiter seemed a little flustered and all over the place. He only served us drinks and kept asking about how we liked them which was nice but we had a different staff bring out our food and another one clean up. Hard to tip when there are so many staff members involved. Overall can’t wait to come back when its warmer out for some more great food, great drinks and a great time.

This is a really awesome spot, I’d be here all the time if I lived closer! Food was on point, but service could be better. I’ll give it 4 stars because the waiter explained that the chef was out due to a family emergency. Which was also the reason for no specials in the menu. It was okay though, the food made up for the wait. My family and I split baked clams as an appetizer. The dish was served with 4 medium sized clams. The breading was tasty with big chunks of clam. For my entrée I had the salmon burger. It was a very big portion, I couldn’t finish it all. This too was seasoned well and delicious. It we topped with lettuce, onion, avocado and an orange sauce. Although the sauce was good, I wish they didn’t put it right on the bun; it kind of overwhelmed the burger. It came with a side of seaweed salad which was amazing. My mom got the shrimp roll which was also very good. This place is pricy, but given the waterfront location and the quality of food they serve, I’d say it’s worth it. Although I didn’t sit down at the bar, it looked very cozy and inviting. There are couches in the bar area and also in the lobby near a fire place. I’d definitely like to come back for brunch and when the weather is nicer.

Love this place! It’s my favorite spot in Port Jeff when it starts getting nice out. They have a wonderful deck outside right on the water that’s surrounded by flowers with a perfect view of the LI Sound. Their menu changes frequently but my go-to is the lobster roll(when is it not.) and their Bloody Mary’s are really on point. Can’t wait for the nice weather again!

Make reservations! The last thing you want to be doing is standing around for this place while everyone else is being seated. Wave Seafood Kitchen on Sunday is not a sit-down restaurant but a «All You Can Eat» buffet. Now that we have the logistics out of the way, Welcome to my review of Wave Seafood Kitchen! We had a 1:30pm brunch reservation. Everyone is gathering up front, if they have reservations don’t worry. Your name is connected to a table. Now I’ve been on enough cruises to know how to handle a AYCE breakfast buffet. Its satisfying and works everytime. Otherwise you’re going to have a belly ache and give this place one star. First plate — Carving station: When you see rack of lamb, you go up twice and fill up on the expensive proteins. They had both rack of lamb and roasted pork. I took a slice of each, not bad. I also took some lentil salad which was pretty good. Second plate — Bagels: Don’t get a bagel at the bagel station, you’ll be shot the entire day. I made a plate of a few lox pieces, a few onion pieces, cream cheese and a overcooked potato pancake. Third plate — Cheese plate: blue cheese, brie, grapes My kids? They always make the same buffet mistakes. Here’s what they told me: Omelet station: the prep guy dropped a cleaning rag into the egg bucket. Oops. Still kept cooking with the eggs. Omelets aren’t too bad but would you rather get full on eggs or rack of lamb? Waffle warmer/Pancake Warmer/Bacon warmer/Sausage warmer: Do you really want to eat warmed over meats and pancakes? My kids beeline for this line, your call. They offered ravioli and some other warmed up food, I filled up on natural foods. I passed on these offerings. Drinks: do you really think they’re even giving you at least one ounce of vodka in your Bloody Mary? Honey Boo Boo child, guess again. The table behind me is ordering champaign! Really folks? Dessert — They had Pepperage Farm cookies. And the crappy one like the chess piece on the top. This place used to be nice years ago. You could sit on the deck outside and have a drink. This AYCE nonsense brings down the restaurant. Lots of sloppy mistakes, your call. If you like AYCE buffet foods, enjoy. I’m sure this mothers day, its gonna be packed so plan accordingly.
