I do not know what is going on with this location. I have been a huge fan for over 15 of Amigo’s but now after switching names twice in the past year it seems to be having some problems. Stopped in here for lunch at around 11:30a and the door was locked with no one in sight. Had to go down the road to Red Pepper 35 or what ever the name of the generic Port Huron Mexican restaurant located in the Kroger plaza is named.

HORRIBLE, this was barely even food! We went at 5:00PM on a taco Tuesday. They were out of chicken, they were out of quacamole, there was no carbonation in the soda machine, we had to ask three times for menus. We ordered some beef and fish tacos. Ground beef was bland, the«fish» was basically fish skin with breading, there was no meat! and then… we found a hair in the rice and beans! That was the last straw, we couldn’t tolerate the meal or the restaurant anymore. Also, the restaurant felt extremely dirty, service was miserable, there were lots of people coming in for carry out and as we were sitting relatively close to the check out, we had a lot of people hanging around our table, which also made for a very unpleasant experience. We were excited for Taco Tuesday, but this experience will go down as the worst restaurant/food we have ever encountered! Stay away!

Amigos? nope. Fajita Joe’s? nope, Red Pepper 5 which is apropo it always was like a Red Pepper step child anyway… and I think Fajita Joe is still cooking back there… same stuff… dive, cheap, and ok quality. Not a rave review, but I’m still here once a month.
