Laurie is the one that’s greats you when walking in, she is also in the kitchen, this means since the moment you walk in you feel the family style ambiance, good breakfast and prices are affordable. There’s a no cell phone allowed in the room, which makes it quiet and enjoyable, a good moment to talk with friends or make new ones, for what I sense is a good space to know the locals and hear their stories

This is a sweet, cozy breakfast and lunch stop right off 771 near Ingraham on Wiltshire in South Gulf Cove. Everything is prepared to order and the breakfast menu offers a nice variety of dishes as well as yummy specials. Coffee is endless. The owner is personable and does the cooking. It’s a great place to relax and, if you’re inclined, get the local news and pulse of things.

Enjoyed a great breakfast. My son and I had the pancakes. Husband had the breakfast burrito. The coffee was fabulous! Nice little café with character!

Driving from Placida to Port Charlotte on Gasparilla Road, we passed this cute café & decided to turn around and go back to have breakfast. As we pulled into the small parking lot, there were 4 cars parked which is a good sign of locals eating at their favorite breakfast spot. The first thing that caught my eye was the NO CELL ZONE sign on the front door. That did not deter us as we are on vacation & use of our cell phone has been limited.
The café is very small and was filled with locals enjoying breakfast & visiting with each other. Lucky for us, one table was available. The café consists of 2 tables that sit 2 people each, 2 tables that sit 4 people each & a small counter with 4 bar stools. The owner is waitress, cook, server & dishwasher.
I had the croiss-​omelet which is a fluffy omelet on a toasted croissant. J had the sausage, cheese, onion scramble with hash brown patty & toast. We both enjoyed our breakfast.
This café has been serving breakfast & lunch in a casual, friendly, home style atmosphere since 2003. Breakfast is served all day. The menu includes omelets, scrambled eggs, French toast, pancakes, breakfast burritos, soup, salads, sandwiches and wraps.
It was a good breakfast and we were happy to support a local, small business. I respected the NO CELL ZONE policy with regards to talking or texting on the phone but did use my iPhone to take pictures.
