We have been to Port A three times and we always stop in here. The owners are wonderful! We swung in today to get some bait and he blessed us with a Merry Christmas gift of free bait! You can’t go wrong here. They are helpful, decent prices and good people!

Nice staff. Really nice. They rent poles and she gave us good advice where to go fishing. She picked out all gear necessary and offered cut bait too because she knew the island was out of live bait. Inexpensive too, a great deal.

We were on the hunt for a crab trap, but not just any crab trap. My husband specifically wanted a wire cage type, not the soft collapsible ones we’d seen elsewhere. We were passing by and thought we’d check here. Not only did they have the type we wanted, but also had the exact same net we’d nearly bought down the way at the hardware store for $ 10 cheaper. The owners were friendly and helpful. Browsing their selection of fishing equipment, their prices were very fair and comparable to mainland prices. Excellent find!

My boyfriend and I were looking to rent fishing poles for the afternoon and found this place right when you come into town. It was a great experience. Super helpful and friendly! Renting poles was inexpensive and they had everything else we needed.

My husband and I recently went to port a on vacation and decided to do some fishing, which neither of us have ever done before. We got lucky meeting Leeland, the owner of Island tackle. He is extremely nice. Probably one of the nicest people I have ever met :) He got us set up with all the right gear and a great price. We spent most of our trip fishing and i loved every moment of it. He was extremely helpful and kind. I completely hooked on fishing lol and its because of him. If you are in the area, you must stop in! Not only will you get want you need, but you will make a good friend in the process!
