Over priced, cheap looking souvenirs. Only stopped by for the photo op and to browse. I liked the shark teeth necklaces but idk why they sell imported merchandise if they could just grab it from their own backyard. Shells said made in Philippines

Eh. What you’d expect from a cheap tourist store on Alister St. But if you forgot something for your trip to the beach, you can get it here for cheap: sand castle equipment, towels, etc.

We came here on January 2, 2014. We’ve been here hundreds of times before –during the summer. All I can say is they don’t need your money. They must be raking it in. Because no one offered to help us as we walked all over the store. And there was one other customer in the store. We went next door to the yellow ISLANDERWITHRHECUTELIGHTHOUSE and bought a boat load of stuff. Their staff was over the top helpful.

Stupid typical«made in chinese» tourist shop. Nothing spectacular, unless you are into that kind of stuff. I have to agree with everyone else that has written prior reviews. Its not cheap, they are not friendly, they do not take returns, the bathrooms were DEEE-SSGGGUUUSTTT-IIIIINNGGG. I mean nasty. My only desire to step into a toursty shop is maybe I can snag a really nice pair of flip flops or dress from Hurley, Roxy, Volcom, etc… But they have absolutely NO name brand stuff. Just a bunch of crap.

One of the many-many-shops on the island, full of imported and overpriced – yet cheap products, it’s a tourist market for sure. The real reason you’ll visit here? The photo opportunities, but of course! Maybe your fancy is a photo shoot with the giant constructed shark or you want to interact with a live animal and snag a $ 10.00 snapshot with April the monkey, either way you’ll find that here! Now what you will NOT find… –Cheap prices. –Friendly service. –Products that last. –Real beach souvenirs. Imagine that… Upon entering this joint you’re met with some wild music – something short of a European night club; it’s interesting. Not to mention the immense amount of ‘tasteless,’ t-shirt choices, I get that they’re trying to appeal to a certain crowd, but I don’t want my 6 year old asking, ‘Mama-what’s that shirt about lotion down here?’ My goodness I’m trying to conserve their innocence for as long as possible! At least put those shirts in a different section not extremely visible. They have a wide apparel selection, so if you’re looking for something specific they’ll probably carry it here. They are also well stocked on floats, boogie boards and water toys.

I don’t like tourist shops. I thought I liked this place last year, but either I was still drunk from the daiquiris or I’m aging at a very rapid pace. My beef is with the music, I felt like I was walking into some horrible cheap back alley dancehall where they spin everything that no one wants to hear. It is loud, pounding, and if the people you are with are taking their time looking around, you will start to lose it by the 3rd track. In all fairness, they have the largest selection of clothing of every tourist store on the island, and they have a huge sculpted shark walkway/mouth that everyone takes pictures in. Otherwise, I’d stick to the Islander, it is more family friendly for those of you with kiddos and headache free for the other anti-souvenir shop grumps like myself.

TheRE are two grotesquely, gaudy monstrocities like this in Port A-these places are so ugly and detested by locals City Counsel NOLONGERALLOWSTHISKINDOFTRASHCONTRUCTION! TODAY, I WENTINSIDETOLOOK at the great Chinese imports, found a .99 kids shovel, took it to the counter and the man, in heavy accent me cant understand said, «this $ 6.99, not .99. I said, «I’m not paying $ 6.99 for that junk» and walked out, bABY in tow. COMPLETEANDTOTALJUNK, RUDE, STUPIDEMPLOYEES, ANDFALSEADVERTISING… These types of junk stores now clog once charming cities. No more nice shops with quality items. All tralier trash style merchandise, like this place, YU&K!

I. hate. Tee-shirt. shops. Cheap tees. Loud Music. Shark’s teeth necklaces. Boogie boards. Painted hermit crabs. Imported plastic crap. Store-credit only ‘return policy’. All of it seems to cost more than you’d expect if you weren’t shopping on the island. Based on all this, I try to avoid these places altogether. But seriously, the music has GOTTOGO! However, when I need one of these items above for my young kids, I usually have luck at Destination, and at a decent price. Where else can you get all of this — AND get a picture of your family in a shark’s mouth — all in one stop?

Visited here on 7÷29÷2011 I understand that this is a tourist shop very close to the beach, but they should still keep the inside clean so people want to shop. The staff was friendly enough, but it was absolutely gross inside. I noticed bird crap on the carpet in a few spots and their glassware was very hazy, with about a year’s worth of sand and dust inside of them. The giant shark is kinda cool though and fun to take pics with.

We came in here, simply because we were out walking around, and exploring Port Aransas. This isn’t a store that I would generally go into, but since we were tourists for a week, we thought it might be fun! The place is packed with surfing items: clothing, surf boards, wax, etc. As well as many little souvenir things! I almost bought a salt and pepper shaker set, but realized that I really didn’t need them! If you forgot some beach toys or floaties for the pool, you can pick them up here! I guess, if you were looking for souvenirs, or little trinkets to bring home to remind you of your trip… I would definitely recommend this place! It was full of fun little items!
