Decided to stop here with family(4 adults and 2 kids) for lunch. Staff/owners were friendly and helpful. We got some gyros and burgers, plus fish and chips. The burgers were juicy and flavorful, about average in size. Gyros were fresh and also quite tasty. And the fish in the fish and chips was fresh and flaky. While we were only visiting town, I would definitely recommend this place to others.

4.50 to add fries/drink, making basic bacon burger a total of 11.50, plus tax. Wtf? Hell no I won’t be back, no hole in the wall cold uncomfortable seating, slowwww to cook food place is worth that, even if the food tastes good.

We visited Harold’s when we stopped in Port Angeles. We had a nice walk up from the Ferry. The burgers we had on our first trip were really tasty old-fashioned style home made goodness and the fries were amply portioned well cooked and yummy too. We stopped again after spending a few days in the area, again our food was fantastic. The folks in Harold’s are very nice and friendly people, the food they are making is very well presented, there is a nice variety of menu items, the prices are reasonable, and they even offer a daily facebook special. I recommend, don’t miss a stop in at Harold’s.

Harold’s. Not fancy. Family owned and super nice people. Just ridiculous good food. Everything is hot and fixed fresh, even the burger patties. Fish and chips were great, served with fresh tartar and fry sauce. Onion rings were perfection. Even have ring sauce. Fried mushrooms were yummy and the fresh ranch had dill in it. The Harold burger was very good, unusual eating a burger with ham and eggs on it but we were hungry and it was tasty! The little John was ridiculous. The cook told us it has ten slices of cheese. I still am not sure if it was a joke or not. The grilled cheese was perfectly golden and crisp, and all the fixings and sauces made it a work of art. Four of us ate way more than enough for under $ 50.

Exactly what we wanted before our two day hiking trip. The burger selection is phenomenal and the the«little joe» is a bacon burger between two grilled cheese sandwiches. A must get. The place is a little hole-in-the-wall, so don’t get thrown off the trail by the small entrance. When in doubt, follow your nose.

This is literally the only place I get my fish and chips in Port Angeles. Got take out last week while friends were in from Arizona. The one thing they were dying for was fish and chips. So we got some for our drive to lake crescent. They both were delighted at my choice, and LOVED the food!

Overall the burgers are excellent and the best in town in my opinion. I love their western burger! My only complaint is that they can be a little slow when waiting for your food. I’ve waited 30 minutes once for my food. But in the end, I do come back because they are that good. The prices are also some little steep for a take out stand. Expect to spend well over $ 10 to eat for one person.

It was good, but the prices were not in line for a takeout or fast food type restaurant. It wasn’t great, just good and the value is not there. For the same price or even less you could have a really nice meal in a nice restaurant instead of a hole-in-the-wall take out place like this. Would not recommend wasting your money here. We won’t go back.

Good burger and fries but… After spending $ 30+ dollars on food and dropping a couple bucks in the tip jar they wanted an extra 30 cents each for an additional mini container of ketchup! Really? The memorable part of the meal was being nickel and dimed for an extra ounce of ketchup.

First, these guys found my wallet and are going to the trouble to mail it to me as I got to Sea-Tac by the time I discovered my loss. So, they are good people and I think that matters. Second, my wife had their mushroom burger, I had the turkey havarti. Both were superb, first-rate, hand-made awesomeness. My wife added the tater tots which were quite crispy and wonderful. I had the small fries which were very tasty and very plentiful. They grind and pound out the burgers after you order! The turkey was deli sliced. Talk about fresh, and it does make a difference. We constantly travel around the USA for work and make a point to use Unilocal to guide our eating choices, so we are used to eating good burgers. Harold’s goes in to our top 5 in the USA for the past few years!

We spent the afternoon at the Olympic Game Farm and then headed to Port Angeles for dinner based on the Unilocal reviews. The burgers were hand made. No frozen patties here. The milkshakes were really good and they even had peanut butter. People with allergies be damned! The guys working were friendly and got the food ready fairly quickly. We will be back the next time we are in the area.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I sat down to eat lunch, and was pleasantly surprised by everything I ordered. The burger was a hand formed patty which tasted just the way a burger should, and the milkshake was made with real ice cream. I will definitely eat there again if I’m ever passing through.

The food is quite good, but I’m not convinced that you get what you’re paying for. I had to wait a while behind somebody else in a cramped room while sitting in a incredibly uncomfortable chair. When it was all said and done, I paid $ 22 and some change for a mushroom melt meal and a single chicken wrap. If I’m going to be paying that much, I need a mind-blowing burger and that’s not what I got.

Stopped here tonight based on Unilocal reviews. Very pleased. Friendly service and tasty milkshakes. Food was very good but portions are enormous! One order of fish and chips could have fed the three of us. We are stuffed!

Good, honest takeout burgers and shakes in a no-frills storefront location. Don’t plan to eat here, but for the road it’s great. You may wait a few minutes, but that’s because they are really cooking to order. The people working there(the owners?) were solid and friendly.

Fish and chips are amazing! Little Joe is huge, better than any of the other famous local burgers. Love the Gyros. This has been my treat out place since they opened and I have never beed disapointed! Love that its fresh. Love that they put a deal of the day, including pictures on facebook. Give this great local takeout a try and you won’t be disapointed!

Yum Yum! My boyfriend and I spent the weekend exploring the Olympic Peninsula and after a long morning at Hurricane Ridge all we could think about was food. We found Harold’s Take Out on Unilocal and were impressed with the great reviews. The reviews were right, this place was fantastic! The owners greeted us with a smile and were very nice and friendly. We each had an order of the cod fish and chips and we probably could have shared, but it was so delicious we scarfed it down! We will definitely be stopping here the next time we’re in Port Angeles. I loved the place and am already craving the delicious fish & chips! Thanks guys for a wonderful memory!

Staying in Port Angeles for a night and looking for a quick bite to eat… saw the good reviews here on Unilocal and they did not disappoint! Had two orders of their cod fish & chips split between 4 people. We’re all sitting here stuffed with big smiles on our faces. Walked in to order, guys were super nice, and they not only hand battered the big hunks of cod, but made the batter fresh in front of us with some Red Chair NWPA for the beer. Hand-cut fries even came seasoned with Johnny’s in true NW style. Didn’t try any of the sandwiches but I’m assuming they must be good from how the fish and chips turned out. Highly recommend it, keep this place alive so I can come back next time I’m in town!

Went here today with my friend. We have been going out on Fridays looking for a place with good food and service. This is the place! Very friendly and really good food. I enjoy the fact that these two brothers had a dream and are living it!
