At the tasting room they usually have a fire going inside and out and it’s a great place for a picnic. This place is very peaceful and nice place to relax and drink some wine. We will sometimes bring our dog which is not a problem, and the owners will sometimes have their dog around as well. For those who say the atmosphere is horrible and snobby, it’s easy to feel that way when you are insecure, but they have never been anything but nice here! I can get crowded at times and they don’t have a huge staff, but they do the best they can to accommodate everyone. They make a lot of great wine and it’s situated in nice area to visit.

A friend and I visited this winery during the Red Wine and Chocolate winery tour 2÷8÷13. I was excited to visit because of the way this business was portrayed as owned by three women — female entrepreneurs sounded intriguing. It was a little challenging to get to the parking lot from westbound 101 — had to either drive down a questionable muddy road or do a u-turn on 101 as the winery is on the south side of the highway. The winery looked charming from the outside, and well kept. We went in and found the place to be devoid of personality. The store was well stocked and attractively appointed. The woman helping us was not one of the owners but had zero interest in selling us wine or making our experience enjoyable. She made little conversation, barely bothered to look at our choices on the checklist, and simply lacked customer service skills. Perhaps the event was overwhelming; I saw several staff, including two owners, floating around the store and helping folks. A large crowd entered just behind us and we had newcomers pushing into us to get to the counter for the tasting. The set-up was not well done to accommodate the crowding for this tour. The wine labels are fun, being custom-painted by local artists. The wine was lackluster as was the greeting and enthusiasm of the staff. Bummer — it’s a beautiful setting but I wouldn’t drive for over two hours again to visit this place again and will not recommend the product.

Horrible atmosphere unsociable. Somewhat snobby better than you attitudes. Not worth the appointment you have to make. Would never go back.

LOVED this place. WOW stopped in 12 years ago and then back in town now. The place is great. They have grown up a lot. The day we were there they had a harp playing and wine tasting going on. I meet the owners and many of the locals. Its a little oasis. I highly recommend this place. They make you feel welcome.

Beautiful place with a lovely sampling of four wines for your $ 5 tasting fee… we ended up buying the Malbec, which was fantastic. We’ll be back!

The wines were good, although the only one that stays in my mind was the merlot. There are two reasons why I like this place though. The first is the friendliness of the woman who served us. She took a genuine interest in us and was informative about the wines she served. The other reason why this place rocked is simply because it’s beautiful. I was tempted to get a bottle and some cheese and camp out for a couple hours, but alas, we had more wineries to visit…

If you want to satiate your optical and taste senses at the same time — this is your place. a fire-pit and gardens welcome you. two small black doggies met us in the parking lot and escorted us to the tasting room. inside you’ll find a fire-place warming up the bar area. it’s sort of like the Disney World of wineries in the North Olympic peninsula. My tia was totally turned off by the host(one of the owners, Don) when he gave a quick tutorial on wine-tasting. it didn’t bother me, i’ve run across much snobbier sommeliers but if you have people unfamiliar with wine and the people who make it, it may be a bit of a turn-off. my grandmother did not give a flip, she downed her tastings like they were tequila shots at a college bar(we are classy). they did bring out two people to man the counter as more people arrived. their merlot(my arch nemesis) was my favie, they described it as the cab drinkers’ merlot and they were spot on. i def recommend checking it out if you’re into reds. this winery is fairly easy to find(compared to some others in the area). when the group you are visiting with requires pretty places that looked like they were ripped from a home and garden magazine, or numerous awards to validate that they have fantastic wine — bring ‘em here. Have a glass of the merlot and enjoy. **open May through Sept: 11am — 5pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Off season — call for appointment**
