I first met Jeff and Nancy back in 2010, I wasn’t sure what I wanted because I was living in Lake City and I would spend 4 months volunteering in St Augustine at the beach. So Jeff spent quite a bit of time working with me and helping me test a few different bikes, finally we narrowed it down to my first bike. it was very hard for me to spend that kind of money on myself considering I’d been a single parent, raising 4 children and their needs had always come first. I did it though, bought my first Felt. While testing the bikes I tested the Garmin Edition F95, Oh how I fell in love… So a month or two later I came back and bought that one also. Jeff and Nancy have always helped me and steered me in the right direction, always giving me great deals, telling me where to try them out what to do… Since bike one I’ve bought 5 bikes from A1A Cycles… Do bikes there cost more than Walmart bikes, of course they do… but in life you really do get what your paying for. You can buy a cheap piece of steel or a quality made aluminum or Carbon frame made to fit your bodies dimensions with people that are there helping you to be fit for that particular bike… you choose … are you worth a few more dollars or aren’t you??? I suppose its for each of us to answer that question… I know if I can afford it … I am… thanks A1A cycles, Jeff and Nancy.

This is the bike lane that runs down A1A from Jax Beach to St Augustine and back. It is long and flat and there always seems to be an ocean breeze. Cars whiz buy at 60 mph but the lane is wide so you are reasonably safe and the drivers seem to be cognizant of the bicycles in this beach environment. On Saturday morning there always seems to be quite a few riders that wave to you. There are several places to stop for a Gatorade but be sure to bring a spare tube and a CO2 cartridge to fix that pesky flat tire. Working out is always more fun near the beach and this is a great place to burn those excess pounds you’ve been meaning to take off.
